Finally tried this place despite the reviews. Was it the best? No! I think what would make my experience the best would be getting a $65.00 worth pedi instead of being rushed because customers had walked in after she had started with my pedis. My friends all come here and tell me how great this place is, and I think this was a bad day perhaps and they were busy. For a $65.00 pedi there definitely wasn't any massage other than rubbing my feet for five seconds each side lol. This was more of a $45.00 pedi and it would be justifying for that price range. I usually go to my favorite nail salon in Modesto that does an amazing job giving me $55.00 pedi that they take their time on. I will try this place on a slower day to see if the experience will be better. read more

Trying to find a place who will do a manicure/pedicure at the same time in Turlock has been hard. Great news Hi-Tech was willing to do this. The price point for their manicures/pedicures is a tad more expensive than others, but time is money in my brain. Unfortunately this was a let down and I am still in search for a salon that will provide quality service and do manicure/pedicure at the same time. The salon is very open and relaxing with newer pedicure chairs. If your with a little one they have little princess chairs too. When I came to the salon it was when they opened and I was the only guest for the whole hour. Pedicure - Overall I was let down here, The towels/wax/stones were not hot and my 10min message that I paid extra for was only 7 min long. The lady giving me my pedicure was very distracted and not 100% focused. She spent 90% of the time talking to her co-workers in another language, took a phone call and responded to text messages. Not professional! One nice touch was they did bring the drying fan to my seat. Manicure - The man who gave me my manicure was every professional, but didn't go the extra mile on my cuticles. I do not get polish so little things like making sure my cuticles are done nicely are important. read more

let say when your nail tech is out on vacation you decide to give other places a try BIG MISTAKE. But this place by far the worse. this nail tech from not understanding what I wanted to where she couldn't even take out and old acrylic. I've been looking for a place that doesn't do your nails away from the cuticle. Many do it that way so you can come back for a fill quicker! I found it here! This is my 3rd time and I've loved every time. Everyone person that has done my nails has been great. It took me 4 weeks to come back from last time because if my schedule and not one broke off! I got Gel-X nails, and instead of soaking off my previous set like you're supposed to, they ripped them off using their fingernail. When I had the new set removed at a different salon, my nails were extremely weak and damaged because of how the previous set was taken off. Now I have to wait months for my nails to heal. read more

I love it here . I come in every months for a pedicure gel set and they're always quick to attend. They do the gel all toe covered & not leaving some bare spot. They've never cut me unlike some other places i've gone too . The workers here work gentle on your feet which i like . read more

The staff are friendly here. They do nice acrylics and they're usually pretty quick as well.

I had to come on here and change my review entirely. This was my third time at Hi-tech nails and I am completely disappointed. My first time was great with Catherine. My second time mediocre with an older gentleman (who was very nice) and with him it was a full set that cost me $90, fine no problem. This last time with Catherine I was charged $95 for a FILL (which doesn't make any sense considering the full set was $90 ) Yet only a week later one of my nails is already cracking in half. I haven't hit them on anything or bent them or caused any trauma to my Nails. They were simply done in a hurry and they are extremely bad quality. Definitely feeling taken advantage of. I didn't even really tip her this time because of the price difference in services and it's a good thing I didn't! read more

I would have gave them 1 star but they took my 4 year old daughter and I in as a walk in which I was really happy about . So after about 2 mins or so of waiting they seated my daughter and I . I did tell the woman that I just wanted my daughter's fingers and feet colored and just a pedicure for me . But then I asked the man if I can get her a pedicure instead . So the man started working on my toes , had my foot tub filling up with water but then my daughter is just there , feet in the foot tub but no water . It had been about 15 mins and she was sitting there patiently waiting . So I asked if they can hook my baby up and put some water in it . And so they did . Her feet is in the water for about 20 minutes and then they came and did her nails and feet . The lady literally splashed water on her toes and put lotion on her legs and had the nerve to charge 20 dollars . That was not a pedicure miss lady but anywho , while the guy is working on my feet , he's trying to convince me to get a higher priced pedicure and kept telling me like everyone knows what they want when they come into the nail shop and it be people like him that's trying to hound somebody to spend more money . Anyways when my feet were done , I noticed that one of my big nails were bubbling up from the gel pedicure and mentioned that to him . And he did not clean around the toe nails good at all . Just looks raggedy . Coulda did a better job at home . But I don't know why but every time you mention something being done wrong , they swear it's something wrong with your feet. This is not my first rodeo so you can tell that to somebody else sir. Anyways I tipped him $5 for the service they provided . I was not pleased overall and the woman who took my payment seen that I tipped him $5 she told him in their language and he through the gloves he had on his hands in the foot bath . All because he was expecting a bigger tip but you did not earn that . Lucky you got $5 because I was not happy about my experience . I will not go back . Prices are over priced for the low budget quality pedicures they do . Save your money . Never again !! read more

I got a shellac pedicure here about a week ago. They left a gap between my cuticle and nail, basically didn't polish my full nail. The lady was rude and quick. Worst of all I got athletes foot from this place. NEVER in my life have I had a fungus and after going to this place I did. My feet are so dry and itchy and weren't like that before. I'm pretty sure they reuse the same tools and yellow feet scrubbers on every client. Horrible experience. I hope they change their ways. Replying to owner: I don't want you guys to fix anything bc I def won't be back lol I'm leaving my review to warn others people can keep going to y'all I don't care I'm just sharing my story I take care of my feet and shoes very well. If your nail tech saw any infection on me wouldn't they have stoped? Never had an issue until I left your salon. You definitely can get fungus from a nail salon if the products aren't clean. Google is free. I regret not going to my sister who is licensed and educated me on the matter but she was booked. The gentleman doing my nails was great but he did not know what he was doing. Asked for square short/medium acrylics. Each nail is shaped differently and has a very lumpy feel. I specified I only wanted to have acrylic but he insisted in the gel to do the job for the French tip. It didn't come out great and is something I wish could've been removed in shop. I don't recommend this place to anyone, the files and instruments used were not clean and looked to be reused..as I post it's been 3 hours since I have gotten the nails on and all the edges are starting to lift. He in no way cut my cuticle or trimmed/ cleaned my nails. I can see why this place was empty. Save your money and go to a different place read more

I have been in there & observed some rude and/or "unruly" patrons (on a few occasions), which I was impressed with their ability to overlook & still provide their services, while keeping a completely professional manner about them. In my opinion, that speaks volumes for their character, as a whole. Since I'm usually hard-pressed for time, I really appreciate my appt's never being an issue (as far as, waiting for any unreasonable amt of time), and the time that I did just "drop-in", I was seen immediately and out in the same very timely manner. Ben has been doing my nails for a few years now, I'm so glad I found him! Between him & his wife, Catherine, I always leave their salon happy!!! Demi offers amazing pedicures with great massages and pays attention to the details of filing and cuticle work which I'm very picky about. I haven't had a pedi with Nga (I hope I spelled it right) but I've seen her chair filled with appointments back to back and I've also seen people come back another time to get into her seat. 10/10 recommend trying out any of them for services! My nails from a Dip service today. Very bad experience after 40 min of Lucy working on my nails, she ends up telling the boss that the dip wasn't staying on. The. The boss tells me oh change chairs I will fix! Not even bothering to let me know what was next or just letting me know how much longer it was going to be.
