For the record, this review is based on the pedicure and not the business or the massage therapist. Unfortunately this will be a knock on the business because in the end, the business represents each of their employees. Kind of sucks but it is what it is. I can't just Yelp the nail lady. We arrived about ten minutes early and our massage therapist was ready and waiting for us. The nail lady, well she came walking in about 10:29 and 59 milliseconds when our appointment is at 10:30. No big deal right? Things happen. I get it. My wife picked me first to get my pedicure. So this lady starts working on my feet and she appeared lost. Almost like she did not know what she was doing. It got to the point where I almost was going to tell her to stop her service because I felt she didn't have the skills to perform a basic pedicure. She would use the regular clippers to clip the corners of my toes. I am no pedi expert but I wouldn't use normal squared clippers for corners. Another irritating thing about my pedicure is the seating. You basically sit on a bench, stick your feet in a small portable tub that lays on some vibrating gadget. I was uncomfortable for sure. So the wife gets done with her 60 minute Massage and the nail lady is still working on my feet. Maybe me you I don't get special colors or polish since I don't wear that stuff. Wow!!!! In the end, this was by far the worst and I mean the worst pedicure I have ever had. I get done with my massage which was good. Wish is was a little bit harder but it was good. My wife was still getting her feet done by the same nail lady. In the end, We walked in at 10:30, and left closer to 2pm. Way too long. The wife hated her pedicure. My wife's exact words, "my four year could paint better nails that her." Ouch!!!! So who is this mystery pedicure lady? I don't know her name but she has been there for one month.

I had a very disappointing and concerning experience at this salon. During my pedicure, there was a…read morecockroach in the water while my feet were soaking. I immediately brought it to the technician's attention, and she removed it with her gloves--but then continued working on my feet with the same gloves, without washing hands or changing them. She threw the cockroach away in the trash and another guy ran to empty out the trash, surely before I took a photo or video. There was no apology, no effort to restart the service with proper sanitation, and the situation was not handled professionally. This raised serious hygiene concerns for me. I contacted my doctor and now I am advised to keep an eye on my feet -look for redness, swelling, cuts, or signs of infection over the next few days. I'm keeping record of this whole situation with my Dr in case I need move forward with a more serious and medical complaint. In addition, I did not receive the full service I paid for (the massage was skipped), and my preferences were not respected during the appointment. It also felt like they rushed to get me out of there as quickly as possible. Despite all of this, I was still charged full price. I attempted to address this directly with the guy at the front desk "in charge" but he pretended that he didn't know what had happened even tho I saw the girl who was working on my toes go to him a few times and chatted with him. His only response to me was "I have to call pest control". If it is not properly resolved -with a full refund, I will be filing a formal complaint with the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology regarding the sanitation practices I experienced. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this salon. -----UPDATE----- Thank you for your response. However, I'm disappointed that no one has contacted me directly to address this situation. Given the seriousness of the sanitation concerns I experienced, along with being charged full price for an incomplete service, I am requesting a full refund and direct follow-up from management. A general statement about reviewing this "internally" does not resolve the issue or address the impact of what occurred. Please contact me within 3 business days to resolve this matter. If I do not hear back, I will be proceeding with filing a formal legal complaint, complaint with the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology and updating my review to reflect the lack of resolution.
