Didn't even get the opportunity to get anything done. I called the morning of, to see if they had any appointments available at 1:30 for 2 people. I explained that my friend wanted a regular manicure and pedicure, and that I wanted shellac manicure and regular pedicure. I told the guy who answered that I also needed shellac removed. He said no problem we have a 1:30 appointment. So my friend and I arrive a little early. We were greeted and asked to sign in on a device. Then we were asked what did we want. We both told the greeter we had 1:30 appointments. She said ok what are you getting. We told her what we wanted. She told us to go pick a color. Once we put Ickes a color, she took us to the pedicure chairs. She added warm water into the basin and asked us to put our feet in. She did not turn the jets on. 15 min went by and a lady came to start my friends pedicure and turned on her jets. I'm still sitting in what is now cool water, no jets. Another 10 minutes go by and we aaak the lady if anyone is coming to do my mani and pedi. She said someone is coming, everyone is with a customer. After about 5 minutes I asked for a towel to dry my feet be a yay this point I no longer wanted service. That's when 2 women came over and asked if I was ready and was the water too cold. What do you think! After sitting in lukewarm water for over 30 minutes waiting it's absolutely cold! They kept saying someone can come now. And I said no one ever came, not even to soak off my shellac. Basically they lied about having an appointment time. If I wanted to be treated as a walk-in I wouldn't have tried to schedule an appointment. I had called Fancy nails to see if I could get an appointment, and the owner was honest and forthcoming and told me they didn't have availability until 3pm which was too late for me. All they had to do was say no, we can't. But they made me believe I had an appointment. I can't review the skills but the service was not great. read more

Amy is amazing!! I tried the dip powder for the first time and I love it! She helped me pick two beautiful colors and made sure the colors were perfect. The first color she thought was not quite right so she lighted it. She was spot on my nails look gorgeous! I also had a bad headache and when she found out she came and massaged my temples. What amazing service. My pedi was amazing too. I can't say enough good things about this salon. The remodeled look is beautiful too. Went in for a refill ($16) and ended up spending $37 on some kind of powder coat. I went to pick out my color and he pointed me to other colors and I told him I wanted acrylic refill because I thought it was weird that he was wanting me to pick out a color on a stick but he said "yes, acrylic" so I choose a color. I had never been there and thought they may just do things differently than im used too. Then he got out little foils and I asked him if he was about to take my nails off and he straight said "no". Sure enough it melted my acrylic off and he ended up doing my nails with some kind of powder. Not only did I pay over double what I would have paid this time.. it will also be $37 next time, very frustrating. I had previously gone to a different salon, and I absolutely hated the way they handled and styled my nails. I came to Lovely Nails asking them to take off all the acrylic, and clean my nails. However they assured me that they could fix my nails, and they did. They did such a lovely job, I was so pleased with my nails and the customer service. Save your money and go somewhere else. These people will try to hustle you out your money! I went with my friend and got the Deluxe pedicure which was $30. Once it was time to go they were charging us $45 !!!! When i asked why the guy said it was $15 extra for shellac! $15!!!! The lady who was doing my pedicure never mentioned that to me when she asked if i wanted regular nail polish or shellac nor was there a sign anywhere near the shellac polishes saying it would be $15 extra. I would understand maybe $5 or $10 extra but $15?? And its already peeling after one day. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone dont let the nice interior fool you! I think I found my new nail home lol.. I had the BEST experience here! I called to see if they were busy (Saturday Afternoon) and luckily they were so the gentleman put me down for my pedi. I come in and the place is nice with a awesome collection of nail polishes, nice chairs for the customers.. just really nice.. the gentleman I talked to greeted me then took me back right away. So the tech that did my pedi, her name is Mai ( I think I am spelling her name wrong) but she was awesome!! She took her time and had great convo.. I then decided I needed a mani so I asked to get one and my mani tech Kaylin, she was AMAZING as well!! She also had great convo and took her time.. I have tried them twice because they have high reviews and both times I was disappointed. The first time I came and got the dip powder. The tech was not very friendly so when I would ask her to keep them short, round the edges, etc she would get frustrated. In the end I had really odd shaped nails and I wasn't very happy. The dip powder had cracked and started to come off after 4 days. A few months later I tried them again thinking I would probably get someone else...I didn't.. but this time I had a pedicure also and dip powder. The pedicure was less than basic even though I had paid for the deluxe. They have a huge menu of pedicures to choose from. My mom and I both got different ones but I noticed we both ended up with the same "basic" pedicure. My nails - Well its been about 10 days and 2 are already off. I choose a nude color and she told me they were out but she had one just like it - its dark brown with huge glitter flakes in it- the shape is worse than it was the first time. Maybe I just don't know who to go to here but ill stick with someone else from now on. read more

My mother and I were treated so awful today! I never been so upset with my nail service as I am today! The manger did my nails today I did not like how they looked. He was so distracted with everyone that walk in. I was sitting while he was walking around awhile he was doing my full set. I didn't say anything to him hoping this nightmare would end. We were checking out I finally looked at them they looked like bricks on my hand. I told my mom I didn't like them she was treating me to the service. We just told him it was horrible looking he was like why didn't you say nothing. How could I? He was so occupied with everyone else! he walked back to fix them. WOW! I was a walk in and I was immediately greeted and asked what I was wanting to get. Most places ask if you have an appointment! There was a small wait but I was expecting that. There was about 8 people working that day and it seemed like they had nothing but walk ins, everyone was help right away! I had gone in knowing what I wanted and showed two people and they put me with the person they seemed to know that would do it best! Tony was very busy but always let me know what was going on, the poor guy was working so hard to please everyone! Offering drinks and welcoming people as they walked in. He did an AMAZING job on my nails!! This was my first time with them and I had no idea how bad the other place I was going to did on my nails till I came here. Visited this nail shop for the first time because I was in the area. I was greeted soon as I walked in so I had high hopes. However, this wasn't the case. When she was removing my old set which she was using a nail tip. She injured my finger 2 times with the nail tip by stabbing me with it. When she applied the powder she was extremely messy. There was powder all over fingers. The guy that initially greeted me told me that it will wash off in the shower. Not a neat job at all. I forgot to take photos of the mess. I was so upset I just didn't want to even think about it anymore. She didn't apply the powder evenly either. There are some missed spots. I already have cracks in my nails and it's only been 1 day and a half. I went Friday and it's Sunday. I will not be returning and wouldn't refer them to anyone. read more

Aweful choice. Came here for my birthday and was very disappointed. I am from out of state and my soon to be sister in law was treating me to get my nails done. The wrong polish was put on for my manicure and the french was uneven. They told me it is not possible to hand paint a straight french manicure. They left remnants of the previous electric pink polish on the inside of my nails and fuzz all over the manicure. When I requested a refund, they told me its bad luck. Which was their superstition not mine, and I expressed that. They told us to call the police and then took a picture of our car. No, No, No!! I have been to this nail shop once before. The first time they were great, attentive, and amazing at customer service. I went again on Saturday, April 16th. I got there at 10:00 am, although there were not a lot of people there I waited for my pedicure, which went great. I then decided I wanted a full set....BIG MISTAKE!! Tony, the owner, started the process. He was extremely rough with my fingers ignoring me even after my first five OUCHES. He then, without a word gets up from the desk, walks outside, gets in his car and drives away(he did this a total of three time). Surprised, I'm asking where did he go? What is going on? The lady owner tells me he went to go pick up their son and will be back in three minutes (It is now 12:30). At 1:00 I really start getting upset, I had a baby shower to go to at 2:00pm. I let the lady know, look, I have to go and Tony is still not back. She reluctantly took over his process of shaping and filing my nails. Tony finally returns 20 minutes later, with an obvious attitude. After she completed my nails I went and washed my hands, after she put on the clear coat I examined my nails more closely, WOW!! THEY WERE AWFUL!!! Tony did not remove all of my nail polish on my finger nails before he started the acrylic, so there are obvious, noticeable RED stripes on four of my ten fingers. I asked the lady, what is this? This looks like crap, and she said to me, "Tony didn't remove all of the nail polish because he didn't want to hurt your fingernails"...BULL!! I told her this looks like CRAP!! She says to me "oh, ok" In my haste to get to my friends baby shower, I paid at 1:20pm. I didn't get out of this nail shop until 2:10pm, I paid $68.00 for a ridiculous full set and pedicure, which I had to have re-done the next day by another salon of course. If I had the time to argue and get my money back I surely would have. This place is REDICULOUS!! I WILL NEVER GO BACK!! If you have never been here, DON'T GO HERE!! After leaving there were quite a few problems with the nail polish having not dried even though we had been there for over two hours because they mixed something into it to thin it out. I don't know if they were having a bad day or what, but I didn't enjoy my experience here recently. I have been here for a pedicure once before, and it was great. They were friendly, nice, really gentle, and acted like they cared about their job. This time however, I got a pedicure from an older woman and she was everything the opposite. She cut my skin on my toe nail and didn't even look up after i noticed the blood. When I asked her about it she waved me off and said "ok ok ok" I'm not sure she could understand me. I got the 35$ pedicure, which is a deluxe and is supposed to include hot wax and ht massage with stones along with regular massage. This woman didn't even ask if I was okay with the temperature of the wax, which was too hot for my liking. And she didn't rub my feet at all. I'm 32 weeks pregnant and when I get a pedicure, the part i look forward to the most is the massage. She rubbed the stones on my legs and then called it a day. I'm not really a confrontational person so I didn't say anything other than thank you. I know that these women are probably tired and ready to go home at the end of a friday. I just wish she would have been nicer and actually rubbed my damn feet lol She also didn't paint half of one of my toe nails, and i had to ask her to paint it. JUST left this nail salon! I saw on the good reviews online and decided to give this place a try! The service I selected was a pedicure and being that I was a walk-in I had to wait (No issue). I waited for roughly 25 mins and then a technician was ready to provide the service. As normal, they asked which pedicure service in particular would I like and then proceeded. Recently my big toe nail came off due to my rough playing! Since I'm going on an upcoming trip I asked if I could put an acrylic on big toe so that my toes won't look too weird lol. The guy was a bit hesitant, but tried to put an acrylic on; however, failed miserably. He failed SO bad that the material used for the acrylic stuck to my skin and the nail, which resulted in the actual nail coming off! Luckily, since he messed the first one up so bad I refused to let him do the second one. Although I was irritated I didn't let it show, I wanted to pay for the work that he had done (the massage part), but they wanted me to pay for the FULL amount! That's when they had me and life fucked up! I told them I refused to pay for the full amount, but I will pay for half. They man working (has a dimple on his right cheek) continued to pressure me into paying the full amount. I then asked for a manager, he stated the manager isn't in today, so I asked is their a secondary manager present?! They lied and said no; however, a young lady, asked me if I could pay $14 dollars and I told her no, I'll pay half or a dollar about half and call it a day! She told me that was fine. I say ALL that to say this, I personally shouldn't have to pay due to someone else's mistakes that could potentially become worse than what has already happen! Was in the mood for a nail polish change and looked at reviews for nails salons in the Humble area that are open on Sundays. Stumbled upon Lovely Nails and read the great reviews and decided to give it a try. I came in without an appt and with a picture of white tip ombre nails. I wanted a subtle look and I also wanted my nails short. I was told by two of the techs there that my ombre with short nails wouldn't look good. Still, I went ahead to try it. My nails look amazing and were done by Nick. He spent a lot of time (almost 1.5 hours) to perfect my nails and to make sure that they stayed short and the ombre was subtle. I only ever get shellac nails as I have no desire to destroy my healthy, strong nails and wasn't sure what they would use to achieve this look. They used powder on my real nail so I don't have to worry about fake nails, etc. The salon is clean, the staff is extremely friendly and professional, and I appreciated that they voiced their concerns of the possibility my nails wouldn't come out like the pictures I showed. I'm super impressed that my nails are exactly what I came in for. First time here and will definitely be back - especially because they are open on Sundays. DO NOT GO HERE! DO NOT GO HERE! This was my first visit to this salon. My friend and I both had pedicures first. My friend was cut first. The girl applied antiseptic and continued on, never even throwing the scrubber away. My friends cut was minor (but still not acceptable). About 10 minutes into my pedicaue with another person I was severly cut on the side of my foot. It was a very deep cut that bled. The girl acted like nothing happened. Her and her co-worker kept trying to cover it with a band-aide. Another customer in the chair next to me insisted that I tell the owner; in fact she called him over. He took his time coming over. When he finally did he just looked at the cut and walked away speaking to his workers in a language I could not understand. He never said anything to me at that point. Long story short, one of the owners (the wife) told my friend that the girl said I insisted that she use the scrubber/blade (looks like a grater with a handle) to "keep going" what ever the heck that means. The location of the cut is not in a place that dead skin would need to be removed anyway. I was charged full price and told ""I'm sorry", the girl was "new" . I'm on day three since it happened and the cut is still very deep and painful. While waiting for my nails to be finished, I noticed this place does not sterilize all their tools either. The scrubbers and "shavers" or blades they use are only washed in the sink. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! I intend to call the health department today. read more
