I didnt get nothin like Love at Lovely Nails! I drove out of my way to come to this place based on the reviews. Most gave spectacular kudos for the workmanship and customer service...they must have been sponsored reviews because as soon as I walked in, the vibe was not warm and inviting. All of the technicians looked up, saw me, and went back to work. There was a sign in sheet in the front, so I signed in. Doing so, I didnt see any prices listed, so I was about to leave when a young lady came over and asked me what I needed (pedicure). She beckoned me over to a chair that was available, but I didn't move. I asked about the price and she once again motioned for me to come to the back. They had the price listed with the services outlined. $20 is their cheapest pedi, but my winter feet needed more work than a $20 pedi can do. I really didn't want to pay $25 for their "Deluxe" pedi being it was my first time there, but I really needed to get them done, so I opted to stay--figured it couldnt be too bad, but it was bad. It started off well. I choose two colors off the wall which is organized quite nicely with the names of the brands and shades. It didn't really help me to narrow down my decision because I am the most indecisive person when I get to the nail shop, but if you have a certain nail brand you use, like Opi, Essie, Gelish, etc, they have it as well as the shade youre seeking, their color wall will probably be an awesome treat for you. Besides the massage chairs and liners in the pedi bowl (which is to me standard nail salon specs), my visit was nothing spectacular. When I chose my service, I noticed at the bottom the price menu mentioned that they offerred beverages (water, soda, wine). It was quite busy, and I didnt want to drink too much water and have to go to the bathroom during my service, but not once was I offerred a beverage although they were people on the other side of the pedi area that received such an offer. You may say they were just busy, but not busy enough to almost annoy me about getting other services done. As much as I may look like I needed a fill, if I dont want one ( and most importantly if it prevents me from tipping you because its not in my budget), I won't get it! Ergo, it really bothered me that twice the same person asked me about a manicure, but that same person didnt offer me anything to drink. From that point on, I tried to zone out, watch my hula and enjoy my appt, but the tvs were too loud. All of them tuned to basketball games. Now, I am a basketball fan, but not a fanatic. With as many tvs they had in the salon, they could have played numerous types of programming to attract their diverse clientele. By this time, my apppointment was over and the nail tech (a very young lady--college maybe), and thank God because her attempt to massage my legs were so rough! She hit my leg so hard the echo rattled in the air. Just because I have thick legs doesnt mean Im not sensitive!! I also wondered if she removed the dry skin from the bottom of my foot thoroughly because I know they were in bad shape, but she didnt take alot of time like my typical nail salon does (found out later when I got home that she didnt)! Plus, if she had been observant, she would have saw I came in with sandals. I dont try to tell anyone how to do their job, but she could have put them on prior to painting my nails because I cant drive on those Styrofoam flip flops! I ended up drying my pedi for 30 minutes to make sure it was dry. I actually waited ten extra minutes to see if anyone would come by and check me, so I just stayed and made sure MYSELF. In fact, when I was tired of waiting, I put my own shoes on, and was wondering around for a trashcan to put the Styrofoam flip flops in. No trashcan in sight and no one trying to assist me for a cool 2 minutes until I was in the front, near the door (I guess they thought I was trying to get a 10 toes discount), and the same lady that approached me before asked me if I needed help. I told her I was trying to throw away something before I left and needed to pay. I was rang up and decided to tip on my card which I shouldnt have given because I didnt feel welcome at this place and will never go back and I guess they felt the same because they didnt tell me to come back or even have a nice day as I did to them. There are way better salons than this, especially with better work. Less than two weeks and my nail polish is chipping! That never happens. My toes usually dont need polish for a month, so you know I will not patronize this place again. I will only go out of my way to pay money to places that I know value new and old customers and dont have shoddy work on top of it. read more

I just moved to the area and was looking for a place that i could call home. I like lots of details and design, and I'm pretty creative with my nails so I want to find a place that does quality work. I definitely found it here! My nail artist, Hanna, was great. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she nailed it to a T. On top of that, everyone in the salon is super friendly. They're currently undergoing renovations, and are having their grand re-opening at the end of this month. I think the shop is going to be beautiful! I highly recommend this place. read more

#1 I waited almost an hour and when I went to leave and say I will try another time they made me feel like it was my fault because I requested a nail tech that I know is nice. Never got the requested nail tech but did get a very rough treatment by someone else. #2 I requested a refill numerous time and they tried to recommend a new set 4 times. More money for them. In the end they gave me a new set even when I requested a refill. #3 The customer service I received while the service was provided was rough and awful. I went to lovely nails on May 24th 2020. Overall it was good service and friendly people. However, when she put my legs in the bags of hot wax it was WAY too hot. Hot enough to where I was visibly uncomfortable and when she took the bags off, my leg was left with a burn from it. To me, thag is not acceptable and they should be checking the heat and making sure the customer is okay with the heat going onto their body instead of just doing it. I went in this morning for a Shellac manicure and had what was probably the worst nail salon experience of my life. The color I selected was labeled as an OPI color, but what they actually used was a knockoff. The woman who started with me did a sloppy job, and the color got all over my fingers. She attempted to fix them, but really just made them worse. One of the men who works there then made an attempt to fix them. At that point, I told him very clearly that if the polish was an issue, he could change polishes. He used the same knockoff brand, and proceeded to make an even bigger mess of my nails. At that point I attempted to leave, but they asked me to come back so they could fix them. I should have left, but my nails were such a mess that I would have been embarrassed to go to work with them in that condition and I didn't know if anywhere else would be able to fit me in today. Another woman began to work on my nails. I sat there with them wrapped in acetone for over half an hour, and they still had to completely destroy my nails to remove it (and it's still not totally gone, it will probably be there until they grow out). She told me more than once that it "wasn't their fault" because the polish was bad. I would be a little more sympathetic to that if they hadn't kept using the bad polish after it caused a problem, or if they hadn't used off brand polish as opposed to the OPI I believed I was getting in the first place. She told me that my nails were damaged to the point that they needed to do dip powder instead to strengthen them. I was then sent back to the man who had done the first "fix." He knicked my cuticle at one point and drew blood. The finished product isn't terrible, but my fingers are still stained, the "bad" polish is still visible in some spots near my cuticle and I haven't been able to get it removed from under my nail. The entire process took over 3 hours and wrecked my plans for the day. To their credit, they did not charge me for the manicure. I will also say that on my last visit, they did a very nice job and their prices were very reasonable. That being said, I will most likely not be coming back. read more

I tried out Lovely Nails for the first time. I asked for a manicure and pedicure. I wanted a manicure with dip powder. The nail tech recommended that I get a tip since my nails were short. So I got the tip with dip powder, asked the tech about my manicure ( the main reason that I came to nail salon) he stated that I can get it next time. I have visited this place once prior to my last visit yesterday. Services seemed to be rushed, not a relaxing environment. Person that did my Pedicure was rough, spent less than 30 seconds on my sugar rub and about the same on my lotion application. I paid extra for a hot stone rub, that was a joke, she held stones with a rough washcloth and rubbed them very hard on my legs. I lost a great toe nail sometime back and went to a Podiatrist to get it back. Was, advised could take a year or greater to grow completely . I made person doing my Pedicure aware of this, it was a new nail. My toe is a little numb so didn't realize this person was digging at this toenail until I looked down and it was bleeding! She tried the same on other great toe, but I stopped her. Another thing I noticed is that she was getting her tools out of a plastic container. Usually they show me the sterile packet that my tools are coming from. I will never go back here again. Sure all employees are not the same, but they have lost my business. read more

I had been here one time before and they did a great job, which is why I gave 1 star. However, the second time I went, they totally messed up on my shellac pedi. I got home and it had bubbles and wasn't even dry. I had made arrangements for my kids so that I could enjoy my mani/pedi, but with this happening, I had to go back again the next day to get the shellac fixed and had my 8 y/o daughter with me. Being new to the area, I was on a mission to find my "go to" nail salon. Unfortunately, "Lovely Nails" was not it, and I will not be returning. Although this establishment is fairly clean, and extremely spacious... for me the service was not all as great as I expected it to be. $70 for a pedicure and mediocre nails? Never again. It was my first time ever experiencing my nails being dipped in the powder rather than having it placed in by a brush. Two things: it took was seems like a lifetime to do, and secondly the "coffin" shaped nails I requested ended up looking very square. The only positive encounter I will speak on was Jessie. She was lovely. Great conversation, attention to detail, and she even offered me a beverage while taking care of my pedicure. Sadly, I am still on a mission to find my forever nail salon. I was transferred to a second employee for the main. She stuck my hand in a bowl of freezing cold water. She spent almost one whole minute filing and buffing my 10 nails. I'll never go back. I have been trying every place near me for a good pedicure and this was the last place. I usually drive out of my way for a place that is ok but not great. They had a mixture of good and bad reviews and I'm the kind of person that likes to check things out for myself. Well, what I found is that if you want a good pedicure or service here, you need to make an appointment with the person you want to see. I was a walk in, so you get what you get and don't throw a fit. First of all, pedicure prices are $22 and up which you find on the menu once you head towards your chair because it is not visible from the front. The place is clean and nicely laid out. Chairs are in great condition and everything is up to par. (I chose the $25 one because my winter feet needed a little more attention) the lady who did my pedicure seemed to know what she was doing but not everything. I am pretty simple with my requests because I give these people serving me the benefit that they were trained to do this and I am not. However, I have had enough pedicures to know the drill. First, she used regular lotion on my cuticles to remove them. A no no in my book as the cuticle removing gel does a better job. When it came to removing the rough skin from my heals she seemed to be just going through the motions and my feet show it. She went by sight and not by feel or she would have felt that they were still rough. (Usually they have to break out the cheese grater, she just lightly scrubbed with the stone) Time for the polish! I bring my own because of horror stories I have heard and this way I know what I'm getting. ( so yes, $25, and I didn't even use their polish) She did not spray the solution ( I think it's alcohol) before polishing to kill any germs that may be there and (she cut me a couple times during clipping and trimming so I was hoping for this step to avoid infection) then she did not even paint a base coat on, just my polish. Waved them dry for a couple seconds and put a top coat on. The base of my nails has no top coat on them... I was happy with the place. Disappointed with the service. I know they are supposed to do the things that I observed weren't done because I watched the tech work on the girl next to me and she did all of these things. The pedicure I got for my money was nothing special, a gentleman did come by once to ask if I would like something to drink but I even brought that on my own. I will return but I will make sure I make an actual appointment with someone mentioned in the good reviews. NOT A GOOD WALK IN PLACE. read more

I got in and was greeted immediately and said i wanted just a basic manicure which isn't that insane of a request. I got my colors and sat down and she got the soaking solution and the water was cold and it's supposed to be warm to soften the cuticles. We get to the actual painting and it's uneven in color and was clearly rushed to get me outta her chair and get the next client in. Honestly if I had the colors at home I coulda done a better job. To add on top of that it wasn't even painted down the base of my nail it was right where my cuticle would be that she cut. This place deserves no stars! Atmosphere was nice. The staff was okay. My issue was with the service. I felt as though, they do not take as much time and care on their male clients. I asked for a simple manicure and pedicure. I only wanted a simple buff to go along with the the mani/pedi. My nails were clipped uneven. My cuticles still looked as if they were never cleaned up. I had to ask multiple times for them to clean them up. Once I finally got tired of them trying to "buff" my nails, they could not get their credit card machine to work. I went to get dip done on my short natural nails today. I came with chipped short red dipped natural nails. I have no complaints about my service and the actual application from the nail tech. However when I went to the cashier to ring up he charged me $10 to remove my previous dip. I have never paid for removal of polish before. The cashier told me I should've requested a refill instead of a new set. Everyone knows that you don't simply "refill" dip. You have to remove it completely especially if a new color is being applied. I am disappointed with how he attempted to lecture me on something he was clearly trying to up-charge. My advice is to get a detailed price of charges in writing before sitting down in the chair. read more

Didn't even get the opportunity to get anything done. I called the morning of, to see if they had any appointments available at 1:30 for 2 people. I explained that my friend wanted a regular manicure and pedicure, and that I wanted shellac manicure and regular pedicure. I told the guy who answered that I also needed shellac removed. He said no problem we have a 1:30 appointment. So my friend and I arrive a little early. We were greeted and asked to sign in on a device. Then we were asked what did we want. We both told the greeter we had 1:30 appointments. She said ok what are you getting. We told her what we wanted. She told us to go pick a color. Once we put Ickes a color, she took us to the pedicure chairs. She added warm water into the basin and asked us to put our feet in. She did not turn the jets on. 15 min went by and a lady came to start my friends pedicure and turned on her jets. I'm still sitting in what is now cool water, no jets. Another 10 minutes go by and we aaak the lady if anyone is coming to do my mani and pedi. She said someone is coming, everyone is with a customer. After about 5 minutes I asked for a towel to dry my feet be a yay this point I no longer wanted service. That's when 2 women came over and asked if I was ready and was the water too cold. What do you think! After sitting in lukewarm water for over 30 minutes waiting it's absolutely cold! They kept saying someone can come now. And I said no one ever came, not even to soak off my shellac. Basically they lied about having an appointment time. If I wanted to be treated as a walk-in I wouldn't have tried to schedule an appointment. I had called Fancy nails to see if I could get an appointment, and the owner was honest and forthcoming and told me they didn't have availability until 3pm which was too late for me.
