Amazing food, prices great for the quality & portion size. Super friendly staff and perfect little comfy country cafe

We love coming to this restaurant every time we visit Garner State Park. They have the best lamb sliders! Chicken sandwich is also very good. And their pies are delicious! Service is a bit slow, but worth the wait.

This place is really charming, but it sucks that the service and the food isn't better. We came here for breakfast, but apparently they do "limited menus" so we could only pick between eggs, toast, biscuits, hash browns, home potatoes, bacon, or ham. I originally came out here because I saw pancakes in previous reviews and was in the mood for pancakes. The food was mediocre and it's disappointing that a small town country place serves you artificial butter spread & premade frozen hash browns. The customer service and speed of receiving your order needs work. They also got our order wrong which no big deal, we still ate it. I really hope they improve because this place has potential to be so much more.

I was in town for a volleyball game and decided to wait to eat in Utopia instead of back home. My yelp search led me here. Food was ok, because I was hungry. Didn't live up to my expectations, based off of other pictures I saw online. Portions were very small for a $22 tab. Waitress did the minimum, not very friendly or welcoming. I had the pepper steak and baked potato. Salad was no good though, I did my best to eat it..I don't like wasting food.

Every time I'm Utopia I need to stop at this Southern style and cozy. Their pies are delicious and in this case Grilled Chicken sandwich. If you go for lunch is packed. They are always courteous and friendly. Great service!!

This place is great ! Food is really good southern style . Love the small town vibe and the history with it being in 7days in utopia . Services was very friendly

    Side salad was no bueno

Can't have too high of expectations for a cafe in the middle of nowhere, but this place was pretty good. I got the burger and sweet potato fries and thought it was great. I had some friends get a side salad and it was awful - room temperature and weird textured lettuce with no toppings. Other than that, everyone enjoyed their sandwiches. Friendly service, cool atmosphere.

So, here's the deal. In a large city, Lost Maples Cafe would probably get a three star rating from me. But in a small town like Utopia, where options are very limited, it definitely shines brighter than the rest, so four stars seems more fair. The menu options are a bit limited but everything we ordered was freshly made and tasty, including the vegetable omelette, homemade biscuit, and the breakfast taco, served with a side of fresh salsa. Pies are very fresh, and the coconut meringue top and filling were among the most moist and freshest I've had in many years. It's worth coming here for the pie alone. The staff is friendly and create a family style atmosphere. Everyone in the place was relaxed and casual, embodying that small town feel that so many people seek to experience and recreate. Utopia definitely got it! Good stuff. I recommend.

A friend recommended this place as a lunch stop on our road trip, and we were glad we stopped. It felt like exactly what a small town Texas lunch spot should be--good Texas food at a very good price, friendly service, a loud tabof seniors detailing their every medical issue, and some decor that would be considered cringe-worthy at home in Austin. We both ordered the lunch special, a solid plate with a lunch-sized CFS, mashed potatoes, corn, and a little square of spice cake for dessert. Just what we needed to fuel up for the long drive home.

Great restaurant I would highly recommend their enchiladas which comes with homemade salsa. Also their pies are a really good dessert.

The main bar spot happens to serve coal fired pizza though so we decided to give it a try. All their pies on the menu sounded good and my wife picked one minus a balsamic drizzle that was given to us on the side. She also ordered some garlic knots. The food arrived pretty quick and looked good, but maybe a little too toasty. Turned out that too toasty was right. They apparently must have had their heat on too high because the garlic knots were definitely burned and could have used a lot more garlic flavor. The char taste won over the garlic. The pizza was a little over toasted on the outside, but still needed some cooking in the middle. We hungrily ate half, but the rest went with us and ended up in the trash and we ALWAYS eat leftover pizza, even cold! And even from gas stations! The $50 price tag with 2 alcoholic drinks definitely wasn't worth it. Great atmosphere and nice people though. Nice place for a drink with friends and your pups. Skip the grub though.

I ordered the Eggs Benedict, substituting bacon for ham, with a biscuit and gravy on the side. The Eggs Benedict was good. I loved the unexpected touch of Swiss cheese, which added a nice twist to a classic dish. The hollandaise was a little on the sour side, but the bacon was cooked perfectly. The biscuit and gravy was the real star of my meal, so good that I almost wish I had ordered it as my main! Definitely getting that next time. My husband went for The Big Ass Sandwich and loved it. Fair warning- it lives up to its name. It's big, it's messy, and it's absolutely worth it. He said the same thing I was thinking: we need to come back. The jalapeno hush puppies that came with it were excellent. However, the coleslaw had a very odd flavour, and neither of us liked it. It tasted acrid to me. I didn't really like the fries because of the seasoning, but I still had a few. The server initially gave my cousin water instead of the sweet tea that he ordered.
