This little spot is actually so nice for a drop in if you want brunch food. We stopped here to eat while on a road trip since it was one of the only sit down places I could find in the area that had things like eggs, bacon and pancakes etc - and we were not disappointed! I had a plate of French toast, my dad had a breakfast burrito, and my mom had pancakes and a side of eggs and bacon. The prices were all very reasonable, and our waitress was very attentive and sweet. There are absolutely immaculate bathrooms inside as well, which are between the shop and restaurant part of the building. Tons of parking outside too, it's a dirt lot. read more

Road Tripping to NM and this was our first stop out of town and what find it was...Ever come across a place when you pull up and are like really?....Its these spots you need to stop...these are the great finds that many miss. Nestled in what Im assuming is a feed yard it has a small store with the kitchen/dining area located in the back. Super friendly service from the Cook/waitress/hostess....Few locals hanging out...always a good sign....Food took a bit to come out, but we were in No hurry...Food was Hot and fresh...Wife had the 2 Egg Plate with Bacon and Taters and I had the loaded Scramble....Everything was fantastic......and was exactly what we need for the hundreds of miles ahead of us. read more

A fun little weekend day trip took us down Interstate 10 to the tiny community of Roosevelt. We arrived right at 3pm. I know, late lunch / early supper? Well, two other customers were there, so we weren't the only ones late or early. We had done a little research before heading out and we were intrigued by the cafe's website. The pictures of their dishes looked so tasty. Arriving, we had both decided the chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, fried okra, and yummy gravy. Our waitress was very kind, but my heart was broken when she said no taters except French fries. Hubby was ok with that, but for me, I was really set on mashed potatoes. We were told that mashed potatoes and baked potatoes may be available at dinner, but kitchen staff was short, so maybe not. Anyway, I opted for a cheeseburger with the fries. Hubby said his CFS was just ok. I can't say much for my cheeseburger (on overly buttered toast) except the lettuce was very fresh and crispy and yummy pickles. The burger was way too greasy. The bread fell apart. The iced tea was good. Seeing the several RSVP signs on the tables tells me supper time is the best time to visit. Next time... read more

Loved it! We were visiting friends in Junction for the weekend, and came across Simon Bros. from a Google search, and I'm so glad we found it! It was just a 5-minute drive off of I-10, down a 2-lane road. There was a group of 6 of us, and everyone loved the food! Everything was very tasty and the portion sizes were great! Our waitress was the best, although I can't recall her name - should have done this review right after we left! The rest of the staff was friendly, as well. Our table ordered the fried pickles and fried mushrooms for appetizers - huge portions. My husband had the chicken fried chicken with hand-cut fries and I got the steak fingers with fried okra and a salad - all delicious and tasted like home-cooking. The yeast rolls were delicious, as well - just great food, and I should add the prices were very reasonable! We will definitely be visiting here again on our next trip to Junction. read more

Checked Yelp for a lunch spot cruising down a pretty rural stretch of I-10 and found this classic spot. Good food, nice people and two attached stores that have most anything you could need on a road trip or if you need to do some ranching. Burgers were real good. Fries were homemade and better than tots. The day we stopped in I think the entire Sheriffs department was eating in and that is also usually a good sign. They were all packing side arms so this is a safe place fo sure. read more

Don't go ANYwhere else!! We were staying in Junction for the night and came to Simon Bros. Everything was delicious! The staff were so happy and friendly. We had the special. Pleasant staff, aging but clean facilities, obviously struggling from the lack of travelers during this pandemic. Limited menus but still they offer a decent selection. We ordered chicken fried steak and eggs and a breakfast burrito. I wish I could have had something off the steak menu but it wasn't available at breakfast. I think their prices are too low. I know how much food costs and restaurants need to triple food costs to make any sort of profit. The chicken fried steak was excellent. The meat was beaten within an inch of its life and maybe soaked in buttermilk or something? End result: a big portion of tender, moist, seasoned meat with a great breading. None of the mushy texture you get from meat tenderized with enzymes. The burrito was a good size and freshly made. It was a bit basic in flavor but the house made salsa is great, so just pour that stuff on. The only disappointment was the room temperature orange juice that tasted like it was just made from a Minute Maid can. I definitely recommend this place, though. I'm looking forward to trying their dinner menu. read more

I pulled off the road in this little Roosevelt town because I was Hungry and saw the 5 star rating of this place. I assumed it was one review by the business owner at first but after reading a few new I had to stop in. I gotta say it was well worth it. Nice family atmosphere and it's like the whole town eats here and knows each other. The food was great! Hot and the salad was cold with fresh veggies. I had the Smothered chicken and it was cooked to perfection and still juicy not dry. The vegetable medley was delicious and sautéed and included carrots, asparagus, peppers, onions and zucchini. I will also admit I admired other diner's plates and they looked just as comforting and delicious. I have saved this spot for a future visit on my travels. read more

Was passing through the area and found this gem. Awesome looking place to sit in and look around and a good kitchen to order food. We ordered the breakfast tacos to go. We were passing by from Miami on our way to California...extremely happy that we did not pass on this cafe! We had the scrambled eggs, sausage and potatoes. The biscuits are made from scratch and are amazing!! Definitely a must! The cafe is in the same place as their general store and post office! It's beautiful wooden building! My club sandwich was the best I have ever had, and I love club sandwiches. My husband got the burger and WOW, it was amazing. It was enormous and cooked perfectly. And I can't forget the onion rings. We stopped in for dinner last week and they never disappoint. I love there 1/2lb hamburgers served on Texas toast and hand cut fries. I added grilled onions and mushrooms to mine!
