Checked out this place based on online reviews and boy, it did not disappoint. Food and service were excellent.

Yes it's in a residential neighborhood, yes it's in someone's driveway, and yes you'll see a chicken cross the road to get to the other side. Destiny's Grill was one of the only places that was still open in this quiet town. It's unassuming and honestly looks kind of sketchy from the outside, but once you enter it's cute and spacious with enough table seating for about 40 people. They serve a variety of dishes: from breakfast items to burgers to Mexican dishes, to chicken nuggets for the kids. My family ordered: Flautas Chicken enchiladas Chicken torta Cheeseburger Club sandwich Everything was good but my husband said he's had better flautas elsewhere. Fries were good but come unsalted, but fine after dipping in some ketchup! Service was good and I loved the family vibe of the restaurant. The entrance is wheelchair accessible but the restroom is not. There are 2 steps up to access them.

    Yum

We came because of the excellent reviews by other Yelpers and we were not dissapointed. It is kind of tucked away in a residential area but the food is terrific. We had the beef nachos and the chicken fajitas plate and both were delicious and a lot of food for the price. Their cheesecake was just amazing and alone worth the visit. (Would post a picture but we ate it already) Service was friendly and attentive. The place is not big, maybe 8 tables and it's not fancy but well worth seeking out.

I followed the directions (Clicking "get directions" and following GPS) and ended up in the middle of a rundown residential neighborhood. Why?

My daughter had projectile vomiting because of these greasy french fries!!!! The service was poor and lacked pronouncing my pronouns correctly, my table had a singular stick of butter melted onto the seat that my poor daughter was sitting after vomiting; the ambiance of the restaurant was gross, disturbing, and weirdly quiet..... Jojo I hope you learn from this bobo experience! #dobetter

First of all, let me just say that Dawn, the owner, and her son, Curtis (the chef) have a totally charming place inside and I had one of the best burgers EVER! I wasn't super hungry, so I ordered the child's size hamburger and fries, and it was just right! They even added all the fixin's for me! Plus! You know when you have a hankerin' for a cold Dr. Pepper on ice? Well, this one was a PERFECT mix of the syrup and fizz! My husband had the patty melt on rye (comes with mozzarella instead of Swiss) and he said it was A+, too. Btw, Dawn named the restaurant JoJo's because of her pet monkey of the same name, and his picture is everywhere. Plus I had the joy of talking to 6 year old Emily about mermaids. If I ever pass through El Dorado again, I will definitely stop here again. Home cooking at it's yummiest!

I don't really think of DQ when looking for a meal. Soft serve, of course. The DQ in Ozona, TX made…read moreme a wonderful bacon cheeseburger. In my top 5 for sure. The restaurant and restrooms were clean, the staff friendly, and easy on and off interstate 10. Give it a try, you'll be happy you did.

On a road trip from Houston to Phoenix, I made a pit stop to get some gas. It made sense to get…read moresome food too, and Dairy Queen was right next to the gas station. So my decision was made. I used the drive through on a Saturday evening. Service (4/5): Since I used the drive through, rather than dining in (there's plenty of parking), service wasn't a big part of the experience. With that being said, I was greeted almost immediately upon pulling up, once I asked for a few minutes, I received a polite response, and my order came out as it should have. All in all, the lady taking my order did a great job. Which isn't always the case, as we know some fast food workers don't care at all about their jobs. This wasn't the case here. Ketchup and napkins included without asking. Ambiance (N/A): I mean it's fast food, so you know, not really a romantic spot. But, even when at a fast food joint, you want it to be clean. Since I didn't go inside, I can't talk about how things are here. Drinks (N/A): I didn't order a drink, but if you're at Dairy Queen, a milkshake is the way to go. Food (2.5/5): Some good and some bad here. I'll start with the food. My food was piping hot, which means it was freshly fried rather than sitting under a heat lamp for a while. This is always a nice touch at a fast food restaurant, and not by any means guaranteed. I went with the chicken fried steak fingers basket which comes with Texas toast, fries, and warm white gravy. Props to Dairy Queen for a Texas classic, chicken fried steak, in fingers form. You can choose between four or six fingers. I went with six. Which is a lot. I was stuffed after consuming this meal. The steak fingers are also quite heavy, so I wasn't feeling great afterwards. But hey, it did what I wanted. Filled me up while I was on the road. Dairy Queen isn't in the upper echelon of fast food joints in my mind, but I will give it mid-tier status. While I didn't get any ice cream while I was there, given that I had dessert earlier that day, it's what they're known for.
