After a morning hike in So Llano State Park, nothing better hits the spot. Coconut strawberry milkshake.

Great little place to stop for a bite! We had the fried pickle chips and they were AMAZING! Nice service, and definitely a favorite for locals. It seemed like a family reunion in there with how everyone knew each other! Haha

Amazing little place in the cutest little small town! My family was passing through on our way home to California after visiting family and we stopped here for lunch. The lady that served us was super polite and friendly, and the food was delicious! Would 10/10 recommend stopping there again!

Ok, it was super busy, so I'll start there to be fair. The little teen girls (2) that were serving were doing all they could and were friendly enough. However, the burgers came out 1/2 size the bun on a junior, and had cheese, so we had to wait for another. The first service was over 30 mins. Then we ordered a pizza later, so we expected a long wait only to finally ask for it in a box, and it came out ice cold and had been sitting a while. It went into the trash. I'd try again on a less busy day because the rest of the food was VERY good. They aren't permanently closed, so I'm not sure why it says that.

The service was great. Seasoned fries are a must! The galaxy steak was excellent except for the gravy. Gravy seemed like it came from a jar.

The meal came complete with a side of potatoes, a fresh side salad, and a warm biscuit. It was so good I completely cleaned my plate!Prices are very reasonable, and there is plenty of easy parking available right outside. The prices were all very reasonable, and our waitress was very attentive and sweet. There are absolutely immaculate bathrooms inside as well, which are between the shop and restaurant part of the building. Tons of parking outside too, it's a dirt lot.

Service was great and the food arrived quickly and was very tasty. The ambiance is quite nice if you enjoy quiet dinners. The space is quaint and cute as they have converted it into a functional restaurant space. If you are in town and want a good sit down meal, check this place out. We started off with sourdough bread and olive oil. My wife ordered the Creamy Penne Chicken and she loved the flavors. Very cheesy and the chicken was seasoned well. Pasta cooked to perfection in our opinion. I had the salmon and shrimp dish with veggies and rice. The salmon was delicious and not overcooked and dry, but very flaky. I wish there were more shrimp with the dish because they were also tasty and well seasoned and cooked. My favorite dessert was the chocolate turtle brownie cake, but I also tried the pina colada cake which I was told has won some awards. I'm not a big pina colada fan but managed to eat half the cake.

We were not disappointed at all. Freshly made pasta was so good. We shared an order of linguine alfredo with chicken and we had more than we could handle. The serving size is so generous. Then we looked at their desserts and everything was baked fresh from their bakery next door. We chose the chocolate cake with a cream filling (I forget the name) and had to get it 'to go' because we were already so full. We had it for our dessert that evening and it was very good. Special mention to our server Zach. Great job helping us decide on what to order. Also great conversation about travel experiences to the Philippines where we were originally from. What are the chances of us meeting in this part of Texas? We highly recommend this business and will definitely come back next time we are in the area. Thank you, Yelp and reviews that led us here.

I had see it recommended by so many people and I'm happy to report that it lived up to the hype (and still impressed me)! NOTES: - Reservations: no... walk in only - Parking: a few spots on the side of the building but free street parking nearby as well - Closed on Wednesday THE HIGHS: - Our server, Kevin, was PHENOMENAL... he was friendly but fast and efficient! - Coffee was strong and refilled constantly - Food came out quickly and everything was fresh - Not a single bad bite... everything was delicious! THE LOWS: - I wish I had more stomach space to try other items! THE PRICE: An absolute STEAL for how good the food is! - Country Biscuit and Sausage Gravy ($13.50 + $1 for cheese added to scrambled eggs) - Josephine ($13) - Short Stack Pancake ($6) - Biscuit ($2.50) - Side of Grits ($4) The total was $44.50 after tax ($3.30) and a credit card processing fee ($1.20) but before tip. (We also got coffee but weren't charged for it) BEST BITES: - Josephine (biscuit was thick and soft, egg was fried perfectly, brie cheese was creamy and delicious, honey ham added the perfect savory element, and the fig preserves added a nice touch of sweetness) - Pancakes (thick and fluffy... everything you'd want them to be) - Grits (simple but delicious... I've had a lot of grits and these were the perfect texture) THE VERDICT: This was my first visit to Sunset Grill after seeing it recommended by so many people... it was a must-try while in Fredericksburg and it was one of my favorite meals of the trip! The service was fantastic, the prices are affordable, and the food is top-tier for comfort breakfast. I already can't wait to come back and will recommend it to everyone I know visiting Fredericksburg!
