We were going to head out to the river but it was a rainy day so we decided to check out a couple places around town and this was one of the places that popped up.Its basically a outside bar that serves food.so if you want a drink or food you wait in line and order.We ordered food first and as we sat down my wife went and got us a couple of drinks.So as we were drinking our drinks our buzzer went off for our food.Which we ordered garlic knots and a pizza which came up to 37 dollars.Which I thought was pretty steep.I didn't really care for the garlic Knots.They just lacked flavor and were way too doughy.Now the pizza I thought was ok.I wouldn't say great but it did the job.To me you probably wouldn't come here for the food unless you needed something to absorb all the alcohol you drank.Overall a cool place to hang out with your wife or friends to have a few drinks.But the food is average at best. read more

Sadly, this place was a disappointment. We went solely for food. We specifically wanted burgers, but the burger serving spot was closed. The main bar spot happens to serve coal fired pizza though so we decided to give it a try. All their pies on the menu sounded good and my wife picked one minus a balsamic drizzle that was given to us on the side. She also ordered some garlic knots. The food arrived pretty quick and looked good, but maybe a little too toasty. Turned out that too toasty was right. They apparently must have had their heat on too high because the garlic knots were definitely burned and could have used a lot more garlic flavor. The char taste won over the garlic. The pizza was a little over toasted on the outside, but still needed some cooking in the middle. We hungrily ate half, but the rest went with us and ended up in the trash and we ALWAYS eat leftover pizza, even cold! And even from gas stations! The $50 price tag with 2 alcoholic drinks definitely wasn't worth it. Great atmosphere and nice people though. Nice place for a drink with friends and your pups. Skip the grub though. read more

The house was perfect. Very clean. Very comfortable. Perfect location. My only issue is with all the things we had to bring. Maybe all the houses in the area are the same but it was a lot. I did not find out that detail until after we booked and paid for the stay. We had to bring our own sheets and towels. I brought extra toilet paper, paper towels and trash bags. What I didn't realize I would need was cleaning supplies. They were very nice and provided a few small bottles of various things but we didn't have dish soap or dishwasher detergent. The check out instructions told us to do the normal stuff but it also told us to wash and put away all the dishes. Hard to do with 2 ounces of soap. Then it asked up to sweep and mop it ourselves. I'm not sure what portion of our booking went to cleaning but I have never been told to mop a house before I left. There was no mopping cleaner so I am not sure if that meant I was supposed to supply that too. I have always left an Airbnb clean but I have never been asked to do so much. Other than it was perfect so I guess if you know that in advance and you don't mind cleaning up it's a perfect place to stay. read more

Oh the atmosphere alone warrants 5 star ratings! We went on a Saturday night for live music, friendly service, cold drinks, and warm pizza. We had 5 kids with us and it was very kid friendly - no playground or anything unnecessary but it was outside and plenty of room for them to mosey around. We've eaten here twice the 4 days we were here. The down sides to this place is their specialty drinks are on the rocks, there are no frozen drinks and their prices are pretty steep. Other than those few things the atmosphere is fun and there are lawn games for families and kids. We had a great time both visits. We had the magic bus pizza which was absolutely delicious, the Italian stallion sandwich, the hummus and the peace be with you pizza. All the food was very good and tasted fresh. Was it busy? Yes. Was it worth it? No. Pizza is advertised but not available until 3pm. Almost $7 for 2 chicken strips and a few fries, half a quesadilla, plus an hour wait. No refills on drinks which seems kind of ridiculous in Texas heat. Heat is obviously out of their control. The vibe could be nice if it weren't 1000 degrees with no available seats. Friendliest folks on the Frio! Terry and Rayann are hardworking and they love their jobs! The food was very good. We had the Mick Jaggar burger and the shacks Mac attack. Mother in law had fried chicken basket and she said the chipotle flavored corn was insane. She raved about that for some time. Father in laws regular hamburger was on the dry side. The Mick Jaggar was excellent and highly recommend it. It's got a fun atmosphere and all seating is outside. read more

I stopped by last night after a hard day at work. The pizza was great,the drinks were ok, little steep prices, but that is to be expected, being in a tourist area. They had a 3 piece band playing, and they were great. They not only played good music, they joked with each other, interacted with the crowd, got us up dancing (which we hadn't done in years) had a semi-song along with some of the songs, took requests. Overall a great experience, the only negative the band only played until 8, would be nice for them to play until the later evening. read more

Everything my group ordered was fantastic. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was nice! They are very creative with their marketing - fun names for the menu items and great decor. All seating is outdoor so make sure it isn't going to rain! The best part is that I would expect a hip place like this in a relatively remote place to be very expensive, but the prices were very reasonable. It is in a dry county but they allow BYOB, making it even more affordable. read more

This place deserves no stars. Upon arrival we were looked at as different automatically. We arrived at around 6:30 and weren't greeted until 6:51. At 6:51 my friend said "I'd like to have the pepperoni pizza please" the waitress proceeded to say "well you can order over there and we close at 7 so you may want to order now", she stated this with attitude and even looked at another coworker with disgust. After that I stated "we thought y'all closed at 9pm" she proceeded to look at us and say "we have never closed at 9" while rolling her eyes at us.
