If you're in Del Rio this restaurant is a MUST! The food is wicked tasty - highly recommend the beef tip pasta with a side of Alfredo sauce. The beef tips literally melt in your mouth and the flavor, OMG incredible. Highly recommend the bread pudding and crème brûlée for dessert. Our server KiKi was the BEST! She was extremely friendly, had a great sense of humor, and very attentive. The vibe is upscale and romantic; great date night spot for sure. Def 10/10 recommend. read more

Another great dinner at Ocho Dos Dos! Went with a couple coworkers while we were visiting Del Rio. Had 2 glasses of wine on happy hour, happy hour goes until 7:30pm. We had a couple appetizers and everyone enjoyed their food. There is a parking lot right next to the restaurant. read more

Ocho Dos Dos is easily one of my favorite places in Del Rio. I've been there multiple times, and every visit has been consistently excellent. The customer service is outstanding bc every waitress, waiter, and bartender I've interacted with has been friendly, enthusiastic, attentive, and always happy to offer great recommendations. The bartenders know exactly how to make a cocktail the way you like it, and the drinks are consistently spot-on. The food is just as impressive, with every meal I've had being delicious and well-prepared. It's genuinely great to see an establishment like this thriving in a small town. ODD has created an experience and ambiance that's welcoming, professional, and enjoyable every single time, I enjoy the dark moody vibes inside. I honestly don't have a single negative thing to say. For me, it's a 10 out of 10, and I highly recommend stopping by if you're in Del Rio! read more

What can I say? The experience was enchanting. The atmosphere was delightful as was our waitress. Kiki was amazing! She answered all our questions and my hubby is a handful to say the least! She handled him with ease and was very entertaining to boot! I had the cod fish and I love spicy and it was yummy with some Tabasco sauce. My husband had a sirloin steak which was delicious! ( we always share!) we met the owner and honestly some colorful patrons and had an amazing dinner! Two thumbs up and look forward to our next visit! Also the drinks were top notch! Great experience all around! read more

Amazing that for a town of 35,000 that this is now the only decent sit-down restaurant, and it's really 50% restaurant 50% bar that can get pretty loud. A restaurant that serves something other than Mexican food or hamburgers although 822 serves that too. Anyway, everything I've tried has been good, albeit fully priced by Del Rio standards (although hard to compare when there is nothing else), and the service is good too. read more

This posh place is like elegantly living large in a small town. My happy hour experience was pure elation having been served at the bar by master craft cocktail mixologists, Amanda & Derrick. I highly recommend. Details below. Visited on a Thursday, 3 PM, party of three. Absolutely delightful signature cocktail, Ivy gimlet. Culinary artistically presented quail appetizer is delicious. The enlarged historical photographs of downtown Del Rio are an absolute gem. If you have history in Del Rio, visit just to see the photographs. The interior decor is elegant yet extremely welcoming. Staff is outstanding. I qualify this finest place as a speakeasy because the outside is very unpretentious. Don't let the exterior neighborhood fool you. This is the best dating experience. Del Rio has to offer patrons of distinguished taste. Come early & often read more

Nice place to celebrate our evening and good variety of choices for a menu. The burger was top notch and the ribeye was cooked perfectly and had great "char" flavoring. I do wish the ribeye came with a side of something, possibly small vege, salad or even a garnish but it was just a slap of meat on a plate. Hubs ordered the fish tacos which were awesome and the ladies ordered the pasta with beef tips. They said it was good as well. All in all, decently priced, good portion, very good flavor and would definitely come back! read more

The ambiance of this restaurant is genuinely nice, but unfortunately that's where the positives end. The service overall was disappointing, though I want to be clear that our waiter was extremely kind and professional. She checked on us multiple times, kept us updated, and assured us the kitchen was working on our food. She did everything she reasonably could, so I don't believe the issue was with her. It seemed to be a lack of oversight or organization in the kitchen. We were seated at 9:06 PM, didn't get to place our order until around 9:20 PM, and all we ordered were pork belly tacos and a chicken breast entrée--nothing particularly complex. Despite that, our food didn't arrive until 10:10 PM--about 50 minutes after ordering and over an hour after being seated. What made the experience even more disappointing was the food itself. For all the hype this restaurant gets, the food was bland and underwhelming, especially for the price. After waiting nearly an hour, we expected a meal that justified both the cost and the wait. Instead, it lacked flavor and left us wondering what all the hype was about. A nice atmosphere can only carry a restaurant so far. When the kitchen loses track of orders and the food doesn't live up to its reputation, it creates a frustrating experience. I hope management takes a hard look at their kitchen operations because the front-of-house staff shouldn't have to apologize for issues that appear to be happening behind the scenes. read more

Came here for a celebration meal and this place was great. Very clean decor. Staff was incredibly friendly and efficient. Their meal suggestions were great. We were traveling thru town and stopped for a late lunch after reading reviews we chose this spot. What a gem! We ordered with the servers recommended appetizers calamari and pork empanadas. They both were excellent and what flavor! My hubby then had the fish tacos and those also were phenomenal. I can't recall our servers name but he was a young man who allowed us to bring our puppy in to have lunch with us too! Our pup has a stroller and is very well behaved in restaurants. Highly recommend this place! read more

From the moment we sat down, Ocho Dos Dos delivered a standout dining experience. We started with the meatball appetizer which packed with flavor. For dinner, the steak was perfectly cooked and deeply satisfying, while the fish tacos were fresh and perfectly seasoned. After-dinner drinks were well-crafted, smooth, and exactly what we wanted to linger a little longer. Great food, great atmosphere, and the very best service definitely a place in Del Rio we'll absolutely return to. read more

What can I say they have me and the wife hooked. The mac & cheese is pretty darn delicious. We have been there several times and the food is always good they might miss on one thing but hey I can live with that. I will say I would love them to work on the customer service as far as how attentive they are, a lot of times you feel like maybe I should just go get my own drink. Hidden gem!! Everything from the food, decor, ambiance, and service was TOP KNOTCH! Small expensive portions, thinly sliced calamari it tasted good but the portions are small and expensive. The desert was good just small slice Of cake. The waitress nice the guy at the front could have opened the door and give me some cold water to drink quick before I pass out in this heat but waited a long time. Ocho Dos Dos brings an upscale dinner vibe to the Best of the Border town. We were welcomed with a smile, seated immediately. Our drink order was promptly taken and was delivered within minutes. Cocktails we tried were the Paloma and Cucumber Martini, which did not disappoint. Drink menu also included some good wine selections. The food was prepared to perfection. Short Rib empanadas and Pork Belly BLT aa must try. Restaurant owner stopped by to make sure the food and service were meeting our expectations. Overall an excellent experience. This place get 1 star from me because of the treatment I received. Discrimination Sucks!!! My boys and I went out to a nice new restaurant here in Del Rio. Once again we were treated like outsiders. The owner, who I had met a week prior, spoke to every table around us but not once did he speak to us. I was very disappointed with this treatment especially after spending over $100 in his establishment. I decided not to take my frustration out on my waitress and still tipped her well (over 15%). Hopefully those that treat us this way would stop looking at my family's skin color and realize that all money is green. read more

Ok...so have been here lots of times. It is one of two good restaurants in the city. Yes, Del Rio has dozens of fast food restaurants but those dont count. Ocho's atmosphere is the best in Del Rio for sure. Food is also good and for some reason they manage to bring in unique menu items (for example escargot). Anyway, I really want them to add a red pasta dish to the menu. They have alfredo so why not? Especially since there is NO Italian restaurant in the city. I just want their menu to be a little more varied (it is mostly burgers and steaks, and there are several restaurants in the city that already have those...and Ocho's similar items arent necessarily always any better). They sometimes have a fish dish and I've tried it every time I've gone (almost) but although the fish is good, the recipes for it arent. Service is outstanding and is superior to any other restaurant in the city. We feel like royalty when we dine there. We will continue to go as the atmosphere is really lovely; it seems like the type of restaurant that you'd find in a big city. We're glad its there. read more
