Was recommended this restaurant from a friend who was born in Del Rio, TX. I was not disappointed, the food was amazing and the service was excellent. I got the red (rojo) tacos and red (rojo) enchiladas. The portions were good for both plates. (Also the beans were hella good. ) The vibe was unique and had so much history on the walls. Has an outside area for families to hang out. A small play area for children. The price was reasonable for the size of the meals. I would definitely go back. read more

I have lived in Del Rio for over 25 years and Chinto's is what is. I would say it's not the worst or the best, probably more middle of the road. I have been there probably 3 times in the last 5 years. Some people love it some hate it. I will just say it's like a last option for me. It's got a good vide but lacks what matters flavor but everyone is different. I would say try it and judge for yourself. read more

Super good and authentic food. Friendly staff from order through finish. I ordered the chilaquillas with green sauce and it was very tasty with a perfectly cooked egg. Others go burrito's they either had to split or did not finish. If you like spicy, ask for the spicier red sauce...it was great! The price was right for good portions of food. We ate outside which was plenty of space for our large party and they had things for the kids to play while we waited or when they finished before us. Definitely a place to try when in Del! read more

The drive-thru menu definitely needs an update bc it's faded, and the listed prices are misleading. Some items are shown at nearly half of what they actually cost. Being charged $18 for three tacos is excessive, especially considering the quality doesn't justify the price. Taco #1 (guisado) was a little dry. Taco #2 (barbacoa) was solid. Taco #3 (chicharrón) was a complete miss 0/10. Some Pros are the tortillas are good. Service was fast! The chicharrón was just pork skin, resulting in a gelatinous, slimy texture. Without any pork belly or fatback to balance it, the taco lacked flavor and quality. The sauce it was cooked in didn't help ..it tasted more like a base sauce for enchiladas or stews, not something that complements a taco imo. The tacos are on the larger side, but that alone doesn't justify the inflated price. read more

A Del Rio classic. Get the GBC or the chorizo bacon and bean with white cheese. My go to for tacos

Best tacos you'll ever eat - no exaggeration. My favorite and most ordered is the pepito - it's the BEST!! Chinto is the absolute sweetest man in Texas and cares so much about the food and his shop. The service is amazing - everyone is on top of it. Ambiance feels like home read more

This place is awesome. Forst off the owner was at the counter and what a great conversation. He really helped with our food choice. Incredibly friendly. Food was amazing. It's Friday and Lent so fish sandwich and cheese tomatillos. Very tasty. Decor was a mix of things. Hard to describe but hope the pictures do it justice. Its not a huge place but plenty of seats inside and out. Also noticed a food truck so if you see that make sure you try the food. Would love to have this place back home. Yum! read more

Hometown favorite for my boyfriend's family. The owner is talks to all his customers and very friendly. Food is hot and fresh and full of flavor! ONLY open for breakfast/lunch hours, and has a drive thru. I love the pastor street tacos, chorizo and egg taco, and Barbacoa taco is my boyfriend's personal favorite (not mine). Corn tortillas for everything and it's freaking delicious. Come for a quick and very affordable bite! read more

I don't often give 5 star reviews but this place is awesome. First off, great service. We were looking for vegetarian tacos and the owner suggested some ingredients that made a super tasting taco. The enchilada plate was terrific as well. It had the perfect amount of heat. Prices I felt were very fair. There was ample parking and seating too. Nothing but great things to say. I am bookmarking Chinto's for when we are driving through to Seminole Canyon or Big Bend. Thanks for a great lunch! Oh. Thanks for the free mint. It's one I'll never forget. read more

I got the taquiza meal. Came with rice and beans. Could have more fajita in it. The tortillas are excellent. The guacamole has no flavor. Rice was good. Beans need salt.. $25 for one breakfast meal. Chicken quesadilla needs more chicken but was excellent. I will be back. Support local businesses. read more

Awesome spot for a delicious breakfast or lunch, dine in or drive-thru! They are a bit short staffed currently, so patience is key, but completely worth it. Meals are customizable, don't be afraid to ask for a different side, and be clear what you want (or don't want) in certain dishes. For the guacamole, I didn't specify I wanted anything other than plain, so next time I'll ask for onions and tomatoes as well. Outdoor seating area is beautiful! A great place for a group, or an intimate date depending on where you sit. Service is fast and every worker has a warm charisma that makes you feel like you're being served by family. Will definitely be coming back! read more

Wow! What a wonderful surprise! The owner is very happy and friendly and makes sure you feel welcome and comfortable. The fajita street tacos were very lean and delicious! By far the best food/place to visit in Del Río! Service is wonderful, the food is amazing!

Fantastic tacos and even better owners. Chinto himself made taco recommendations and when I went to order 3, he said "we recommend 2 because they are so big". He wasn't wrong. Super breakfast taco was phenomenal with crunchy bacon and all the everything you could want on a taco. Barbacoa was so tender and flavorful. My wife's migas taco was also excellent. So good we took tacos to go for lunch. Highly recommend. read more

The size of the burrito was HUGE!. I had to cut it in half. Save one half for breakfast and lunch. And, it was good. The Torta was great. I like it. Decent size. I would come back to try something different. The Owner was cool. We talked briefly about how the restaurant got started. Friendly environment. read more
