The taco came out with a side red onions, white onions, cilantro, lime, cucumbers, red (spicy) salsa, and green (flavorful) salsa. The chips and salsa was more of a really flavorful tomatillo salsa. Stop by to pick up some dinner and it was ok. I had not been there in a few years not for any particular reason but it used to be packed now it's empty. I don't know what happened but they need to make some changes. The tacos were to salty and the meat had an unappealing look to it. You really had to load down the tacos with a bunch of the condiments for it to be ok. We also had the bistek nachos and these were not even ok the nachos were super soggy and the pastor meat suffered for the same problem as the bistek. More than anything everything looked like it had been sitting out for a while and then they just throw everything together at the last minute. It's a very limited menu but if you're in the mood for street tacos I highly recommend this place. We had 10 tacos with half pastor and half bistek. They you a large assortment of toppings; cucumber, cilantro, onions, limes, cheese and red and green sauce along with salsa. The flavors are fresh and pleasurable. Horrible service. Unfortunately the food is great but had the rudest server that chose to make our food to go because they closed in 30 minutes. She brought us our food and told us we needed to take it to go! Her comment was because "she had to go home" We placed our order at 815pm was served at 829om and they do not close until 9pm. We had sufficient time to eat. The owner also who sat behind the window in the kitchen allowed his employee to act in such a way. She continued to argue with me when I insisted that we told her we were dining in. They did not have a problem taking our money and said that we could go eat it somewhere else!!!! Better off going somewhere that appreciates the business and that is not going to deny you to eat on their dinning area. To make things worse , we opened our bag and our order was all wrong. All I can say: DELICIOUS. MUST TRY. We stopped in Del Rio for the Amistad National Rec Area, and we found this place for street tacos. Extremely authentic and so so good. We only stayed two nights, and got it both nights. Their al pastor is A+++++. We also got their al pastor quesadillas (3 per plate) they were mini ones which were perfect for what we wanted. They only have the meat inside your tortilla, and provide cilantro, onions, salsas (green and red!) for you to dress how you would like. They are also super fast. I don't understand, Yelp, why can't you allow for half stars?? I'd say this was closer to 3.5ish stars... Possibly because everyone hyped it up for me a bit too much. I found the al pastor was better than the bistek but neither was to die for personally. (I did find a place two nights later that I'm sad I won't be in Del Rio to go back to). Thank G-d for dine in options!!! This restaurant has two locations in Del Rio. We went to the drive thru location and it was so delicious. Today we learned that the location on De La Rosa Street is open for dine in and we were so happy to be able to sit inside and enjoy our meal. This is not a food truck but a physical building with a decent sized dining room. The staff all wear masks and are extremely courteous. We had the street tacos (available as pastor, bistec or mixed) which are both super yummy. The tapatios rancheros was also really delicious. will definitely come back if we are ever in Del Rio. read more

Visited this place based on a recommendation by a local. I lived along the southern border for some time and this was not one of my favorite places for tacos. The tacos were ok, but nothing to write home about. The plate that I had didn't include beans or the sautéed onions that are usually included in most other establishments I have visited in places like Eagle Pass, Laredo, Rio Grande City, Mission, Mcallen and Brownsville, Texas. Don't pay attention to the bad reviews - they don't know what they're talking about - these are excellent Al Pastor and Bistek street tacos, no question about it. The other reviewers made the mistake of ordering Tapatio tacos, which are never that good in my opinion, as it's just a rolled ball of grease with not much flavor. Stick with the tacos and the quesadillas. My parents and I had one order of quesadillas (3) with half Pastor and half Steak and they were awesome as was the corn tortilla and the queso fresco. Also ordered 12 tacos - 6 Pastor and 6 Steak, and both were delicious, but we somewhat favored the steak given the great flavor. They provide a tray with green salsa (best), red salsa (too hot), cilantro, red onions, white onions, sliced cucumbers and lime wedges. So that way you can specialize each taco to your liking. All this food, with three Mexican soft drinks and the total bill was $28 for three people and we were stuffed. Pretty unbelievable, especially as I live in NYC and I'll spend that just on myself. This taco shop was highly recommended by locals. I was on business trip near this town, and during causal conversations with the locals I was working with, this place was at the top of their list when it came to tacos. After visiting and having a generous serving of their delicacies, it became clear why it is so well liked. I had a combination of their two types of taco meat; one is marinated pork called 'Al Pastor' and the other is simple chopped steak called 'Bistek.' Not knowing the relative size of the tortilla, I went with a single order of 6 tacos - they have various choices starting at 6 and going all the way up to a ridiculously 60! or so I thought it was ridiculous when I first looked over the menu. The lovely waitress, and her incredible personality with a genuine attitude to ensure you enjoy your meal (I totally didn't catch her name), brought me a small plate with my 6 tacos stacked on top of each other. It was a this moment that I realized I had made a mistake; they were really small and I needed more tacos to satisfy my hunger. so I immediately ordered another 6... the waitress smiled and gave me this 'I knew you were going to do that' look. Overall, the tacos are great! the meat (both types) is well and adequately seasoned. If you're the type of person that enjoys strong and bold flavors, you won't find that here. Rather, the meat is well balanced with a mild spice (Al Pastor) and savory (Bistek) flavor. There are plenty of options to bring the flavor to your liking (i.e. table salt, pepper, salsas, etc.) if the meats, in your opinion, need a little bit more. You shouldn't need to add anything though, the flavors are authentic as they can be. If you are ever in Del Rio, and you are in the mood for some authentic Mexican tacos (not that Taco Bell nonsense, that's not Mexican food in any capacity), then definitely make a stop here.
