    Jalapeño and queso chips
    Joanna H.

Stopped by on my way out of visiting Del Rio to get some chips. I had never tried the jalapeño and queso chips, wow so good! Original seasoned chips always good. They will box up a big order and very reasonable price.

DIY breakfast taco - supposed to be "Bacon and Egg Plate"
    Marney M.

Ordered a bacon and egg plate, with eggs over medium. Before my food came, I was informed that "the eggs and bacon were mixed together". I acceded. What I wound up with was an "IKEA breakfast taco"! A pile of scrambled eggs (with bacon mixed in) a group of potatoes, a stack of beans, a mess of crunchy bacon chunks, and two tortillas. As is Julio's normal practice none of it - except the tortillas - was really hot. I built a single taco. By the time I got it done, everything was cold. I ate the DIY taco and then proceeded to choke down the rest. Cold eggs, cold bacon, cold beans, cold potatoes. The good thing was, it made the mediocre coffee taste better. (But not enough for a second cup.) Why do I keep doing this to myself?

    Julio's pork rinds
    Bruce K.

I picked up a bag of these awesome chicharrones (pork rinds) off the shelf at Walmart and they were amazing. Crispy, airy, tasty with just a little bit of zing to them. The bag is dated and yes, they were fresh. This was great and completely fitting into my keto diet. Yum! [Review 16004 overall - 192 in Texas - 1509 of 2021.]

If it wasn't for their mass distribution of chips to grocery stores across the state I would have no clue about this place at all. I recommend trying their various flavors of chips for sure. I stopped in to try out their $15.99 Ribeye.... well... let's just say I can see why their chips are in stores, and not their steaks! If you are wanting mexican food to eat, there are much better options in the area. If you love chips and salsa for your meal... then yes this is your spot!

In town on business. Best food I have had so far. Chips are good, but the salsa is SALTY AF. order a plate and was satisfied. This place could use some cleaning, but over all not bad. 7/10. 06/24/2022 3pm

Small place. Order out the counter and then they bring it to your table. I read the reviews, so I knew to ask for Chips and Salsa. SO glad we did. I LOVED the chips (MSG and all). I bought a bag (and some salsa) to take with us on our journey to the Chili Cook-off in Terlingua. I also bought some cinnamon chips, but we didn't like those as much. The food was good, everyone in my party enjoyed their meal.

Good food and prices. Huge portions. They make their own chips and salsa that sells at grocery stores.

We ate here first after moving to Del Rio. It's a colorful, fun, and clean restaurant with good food and great service.

Once we entered I remembered what I wrote on my last review... my opinion and experience was about the same other than I ordered something different from the menu. This is a nice restaurant, well maintained, clean (from what I could see), and with a good variety of menu options. I chose one of their lunch specials: one low price for a main entree (from a limited list), and appetizer, and a drink. I ordered the Cajun shrimp pasta and a salad. I didn't enjoy the pasta dish as much as I had hoped... I found it lacking in flavor (just a thin sprinkle of Cajun seasoning on top) and the sauce was a bland, thick, Alfredo. I should have ordered the chicken quesadillas. The salad was good. The service was very good. My only significant issue was the loud music made it very difficult to have a conversation. Background music needs to stay in the background. I got the feeling the employees drive it up for their entertainment. I may return, and order something I know I like... but never again for a business lunch.

Friendly greeting upon arrival, seated quickly, and drink orders done in an impressive time. Place was pretty crowded, but dining area & restrooms were clean. Plenty of parking around the area. Food was also above par as my wife liked her burger, fries were warmish, but she blamed it on my food taken longer to prepare. I did Fajitas, they were good, and I had enough to eat for lunch at the hotel the next day. There was an issue with bill (charged regular price for each item on the trio menu), but our waitress fixed it quickly. One of our better experiences at a Chili's in awhile.
