Outside, a week or two before they opened

We were excited to try the newest Mexican restaurant in our neighborhood, Los Patrones Mexican Restaurant. Today was the day. The restaurant is brand new; everything inside reflects this. The place was clean and the booths were very comfortable. Even though it's only been open a little over a week, they were doing a good business just minutes after opening. We were greeted at the door with a huge smile and a, "Welcome Amigos!" Complimentary chips and salsa followed. The chips were warm and the salsa had a nice kick to it. The menu is full of just about every type of Mexican cuisine you'd expect. They also have a large lunch menu, which seemed to offer something from every type. We both opted for lunch burritos. Mark had the Lunch Spicy Burrito - not too surprising. He devoured it and quickly became a member of the clean plate club. I ordered the Lunch Patron Burrito. I told Mark it tasted like a combination of a fajita and a burrito. It was not made like a traditional burrito. Instead it had a large flour tortilla over the steak, chicken and other delicious ingredients that was tucked in on the sides. Unusual? Yes. Very tasty? Also yes! The steak and chicken were well seasoned and the grilled onions were great. The cheese sauce was delicious. There was also a pop of diced red onion, which was unexpected, but wonderful. The amount of red onion was almost imperceivable - the point being it was not over done, but rather was the perfect amount. Our waiter was pleasant and attentive. It was his second day and we would never have known. He did mention it was not his first job as a server, so he came to Los Patrones with experience. Speaking of experience, lunch at Los Patrones was an enjoyable one!

My family were excited to visit for the first time few days ago as we had been hearing good reviews about the restaurant. First walking in, we were quickly greeted and seated. The waiter came over right away, he gave good explanations on questions we had about the menu. The food also came out quick and hot. They taste as good as they look. Even though I thought the Pastors can be more crispy, overall flavor is great. Everything else was great, my bf meal is a bit greasy but I'm sure that how it supposed to be, fat = flavor My kid shrimp dish was also great, she love it. The ambience is great, nice music background, not too loud. The table around was clean up quickly, they also sweep the floor too, not just cleaning up the table. I'm pretty happy with the experience. Totally would recommend and for sure will come back again when we want some Mexican food.

Could not enjoy the meal because of the gnats in the bar area .

Have been here many time. Have had a great experience every time. Tonight we were seated in a booth in the bar . Frustrating swatting gnats during dinner. Not one pesky gnat. Multiple gnats

Great food, service is usually great too. The burritos are amazing, and my kids will actually eat their kids meals.

We had the queso which is not your average. Its thick cheesy texture tucks inside of a small tortilla. So, not your typical chips and queso . The addition of a roasted jalapeno was brilliant! There was a DJ & a dance floor, but very few people were dancing, which was disappointing. The place itself was cool with colorful lights & fun graffiti-like walls, but the aesthetic was let down by the lack of people. We enjoyed the free popcorn & I really liked my drink, the downside up, although I realize it's probably too sweet for most. Unfortunately, the cocktail & popcorn didn't make up for the dead atmosphere & we left pretty quickly. I would be interested in going again & seeing what it would be like when it's lively; I imagine it would be a fun spot when the dance floor is full!

I noticed some people with white claws and little airplane bottles so naturally I have to have a strong claw as well. Some things are out of your control, but still I would've enjoyed my food more if I could have sat and ate it. This place feels a little light a hole in the wall in downtown Cincinnati. It does not have lots of tables, it is unassuming on the outside, and the menu is simple. We were drawn to it, even with the long lines because of all of the game goers. Considering its size and the line, we did not wait an unreasonable amount of time to order and then receive our food. Everyone orders at the counter so you have to go through one at a time and wait for everyone before you to decide their orders. The food is then called out and you have to go get it. This system probably helped our situation and made things move faster. I got their signature turtle, which is basically a large crunch wrap, with chicken served southwest style. It was awesome but very large! We were going out after and did not want to carry leftover boxes, so I ate it all and kind of regretted it after. But I simply could not stop cause the food was so good! The prices are also fair and they have plenty of beer and cocktails to offer from their bar. I would love to come back here on a quieter night so we can sit and enjoy the food wholly, perhaps with a beverage as well.

On a less busy night, they offered a free toast for my birthday. I've been for other celebratory dinners here on busier nights where that hasn't happened, so it was a lovely surprise! Ambiance: 4/5 A little busy and can get loud on the weekends with table chatter, cutlery clinks, and the brick walls echoing noise around. Tables are also close together, so you can definitely hear the conversation next to you. The decor is pleasant and the lighting is soft and romantic enough that it is still a perfect date night spot!
