I have always enjoyed the atmosphere, food and attention to detail from the service staff at this nice place. The food is fresh, hot and plentiful. Our server Diana is always so pleasant. I hosted 10 friends at La Fiesta Mexico in Forest Park on Friday, and it was absolutely amazing! This family-owned restaurant is clean, cozy, and beautiful, with unique painted chairs and carvings on the table. The owner dropped by the table to say "hi," was open and friendly, and remembered us from our visit there last year. Our waitress was helpful, knowledgeable and efficient. She took our orders without taking any notes and got each one absolutely accurate, including which of the 11 of us ordered what. The meals arrived quickly and were fresh, authentic, and made-from scratch. One of my friends is allergic to capsaicin, the "active ingredient" in peppers, and asked that her dish be made without peppers. Not only could they easily accommodate her, but she absolutely loved the dietarily-amended meal. The owner told me they don't have a freezer - all food is bought fresh, and goes right out to the table within the next 2-3 days. You could definitely tell: all of our meals were fantastic -- huge portions of fresh food made with loving care -- from the nachos to the giant burritos, to the fajitas, quesadillas, enchiladas, and the house-made desserts -- (the fried ice cream was absolutely epic). My favorite was the Fajita Hawaiian, and I have a soft spot for the Jamaica (traditional hibiscus drink) that is freshly made on site. I know there's a lot of Mexican restaurants here in our area, but this one is very special, and really deserving of our love in these tough times. read more

Today is my birthday and I love fajitas. First time trying La Fiesta Mexico on Kemper and I promise it would be my last. I ordered my food to go, when I got home l had used tortillas in my bag. I took the food back and asked for a refund. The owner refused to give a refund stating the cook can re do you meal. What make you think I would eat anything for a.place that place used tortillas in someone meal. I loss my $20 and told him to keep the food as well. I bet you $100 it was re-sold to another customer. Poor management poor service. DO NOT EAT THERE. read more

No horchata they're out today Chips and salsa - chips were salty- salsa was more of a purée but had flavor. No Horchata? Rice- bland Beans- fair Chile verde had decent flavor but the pork was cut up for burritos and tacos not chunks of roast. Verde sauce had flavor but was skimpy. I did not subtract for the horchata and it is a solid 3 stars read more

Solo date night of Self Care - glad I picked this place it's been a LONG day at work and I appreciated the waitress who seated me notice the weariness and emphatically asking if I was ok. I already knew I wanted a margarita and some fajitas but pretended to peruse the menu when I was first seated. Glad I did because I also ordered the banging guacamole dip. My mango margarita in the rocks with salt was a little disappointing as I like to taste my liquor but couldn't. Next time I'll order a sidecar of house tequila to float on top. Service was speedy and they did not skimp on the fajitas. As far as solo date nights go, I will definitely be bringing myself back. Four stars for the margarita not being stronger. Otherwise - perfecto! read more

Met my aunt here for dinner one evening last week. Pulling up, I was questioning her choice in restaurant, the lot was pretty much empty and the building isn't the most welcoming looking place I've ever seen... Once we were seated, the staff was friendly and helpful, and as we were sitting there, now people came in, I guess we were the beginning of the dinner crowd. Our food order didn't take long to come out, it was hot, and everything tasted great! I had the Chicken fajita quesadilla. The grilled chicken in it was phenomenal, it had great flavor and wasn't over or under cooked. The rice was a little bland, so I dumped some of the salsa on it, which really helped. The salsa had good flavor, and wasn't overly spicy. We also got an order of guacamole, which was fresh and had good flavor. I would definitely go here again now that I've been on there, it was just a matter of getting over the outward appearance. read more

Went to dinner with my mom and husband. Chips and salsa were decent, but the salsa was a bit onion heavy for me. Our server was nice and attentive. I like the ambiance of the restaurant; it's decorated fun with each booth looking like it's inside a hut of sorts. There is lots of color and decor. My husband got the Texano dip (chorizo, shrimp, queso, pico) which comes with tortillas, so you can make a meal out of it. My mom and I split a chicken quesadilla, rice, beans, a tostada, and queso. The queso was pretty good, as were the rice, beans, and guac on the tostada. But the chicken on both was so dry it really took away from the enjoyment of the meal. And my quesadilla was made with shredded orange cheese, which is not normal for a Mexican restaurant-- esp one that serves queso. They tried a new payment system where we scanned a QR code on our receipt to pay. It didn't work the first time, but we figured it out. The manager came to check that it worked okay for us. I'd go back to try more, but it wouldn't be my first choice. read more

Ate here for the second time tonite with some friends. We really enjoyed our dinner. Our server was Walter, who was friendly and attentive. The complimentary chips and salsa were plentiful. I ordered some guacamole which was homemade and great. I had 2 street tacos and also a 3 item combo plate (burrito, chimichanga and tostada plus rice and beans) Portion size was generous so I had to take some home. and the full size burrito that someone else ordered---OMG--it was HUGE ! A foot long and 4 inches wide. It had a knife sticking in it and I remarked "They had to stab it so it didn't grow any bigger !" The guy who ordered it was big, but he could only finish about 1/3 of it. Nice ambiance and quiet enough that we were all able to converse and hear each other. All in all, a lotta bang for the buck here and I recommend it. read more

Fun, Casual, and Tasty. La Fiesta is my favorite casual Mexican restaurant in all of Cincinnati. The wait staff are friendly, efficient, and fun, and the food is wonderful. The bar is efficient and well-stocked, and while I'm mostly a beer person, the Margaritas are excellent. The menu is too varied to cover it all, but I particularly like the Pollo Chilango. I also love the Nachos Santa Fe, which is enough for three or four people to share. As is so often the case with family-owned Mexican restaurants, the portions are huge, so bring your Tupperware. read more

Food was very very bland. I had to salt everything, which I typically never do. The salsa lacked flavor as if watered down. It's interesting, I was there during a typical lunch hour and they had only three other customers! Additionally, the food is priced too high, especially for the level of food quality and lack of flavor. With all that being said, I would never eat there again. It used to be a great place to eat. Must be a new manager new owner or something.... read more

Unfortunately not great and a bit run down. We had a reservation for a group of 12 on a Wednesday night at 7. When we walked in there were barely any tables so I was already concerned but was hoping they just did a brisk carryout business. On the plus side, our server was very nice and friendly. Plus they were able to accommodate us as a larger party. And finally food came out quickly. Chips and salsa. Chips are ok. Salsa is oddly sweet? Like they seriously put sugar in their salsa or something. Pass. I got a mango margarita and a few other party members got one as well. There was a really odd, floral flavor to it that was not good. I'm honestly not one to ever send something back but I asked to switch this to just a regular lime margarita which was better. I thought it was just me but literally all other folks who got it made the same comment and asked to switch theirs as well. I got the steak chimichanga meal. I asked to buy extra cheese sauce to top it. Meal came out. No extra cheese sauce. The chimichangas themselves were ok. Nothing to write home about. Beans were not good. I'm not sure what was going on with them. Rice was ok. Overall my total bill was something like $31 and some change so after tipping the $8ish I ended up spending $40 for a lackluster meal and two weak margaritas. Most of my "dinner' was just chips. I would skip this place. They get two stars because the server was super nice and food was timely. read more

Really surprised with this place. Got the lunch steak fajitas to-go and usually with that amount of rice and beans I wouldn't finish it in one sitting, but everything was so flavorful and perfectly textured that I ate the whole plate. Nothing was overly greasy and I didn't feel overtly comatose after finishing my meal. We put in a large pick up order and they did forget one of our meals so I would double check before leaving the establishment. read more

We were unsure where to go eat on a random Saturday and we happen to be driving down Kemper rd. Then we saw La Fiesta restaurant and decided to go in, now we have seen many Mexican restaurant come and from this specific location so our expectations were not super high, but they managed to change my mind. We went in and we were greeting right away, taken to the table and two second later we had water. Our waiter was super nice, very sweet lady it really made me feel as if I was a regular, the way she aproveches costumers is awesome. Also the place itself is pretty well distributed, bright and clean, it doesn't stand out from other Mexican restaurants by the aesthetic but it's nice and neat. We ordered grill tilapia and Machaca which I was very unsure about because I never tried it, but it was DELICIOUS, super yummy deft a must try if you like meat. The servings are big and the pricing ir more than fair, usually a two day meal. I highly recome this place, I don't think you ll leave disappointed. read more

The restaurant at the Winton Woods Mill Golf course was closed when we finished our round. We headed out to find a place for a beer and a snack. There was no wait. A quartet of office workers were leaving when we arrived. The server handed us large menus so that we didn't have scan the QR code for the menu. Two bowls of chips and salsa for our foursome was tasty. Two of us ordered tall Dos Equis drafts and two ordered Modelo. My cold mug of Dos Equis Amber with lime was the best beer that I can ever remember. I ordered 3 shredded beef crispy tacos. They were filling and delicious. They menu items were very inexpensive. I'm not a fan of beans and more than half the menu selections included rice and beans. We will definitely return for more and never eat at the golf course again. read more

Wife and decided to head out for dinner on a whim. Wanted to try someplace new. Saw the reviews for La Fiesta Mexico, good decision. Thursday was combo plate special night, $2 of any combo. She got #9, Chile relleno , a chalupa with rice & beans. I had #4, supposed to be 2 crispy beef tacos, a beef enchilada and chili con quest. I got 1 taco, the enchilada and a corn tortilla with beef and some of the best quest sauce I've had! Maybe it was a little off from the description, but it was good. Ruben was our waiter, quick and very polite. We have another Mexican restaurant closer to us, but we may just take the extra few minutes to drive here. We'll be back, to try other menu items as well as the margaritas. But, for a first visit, it was very good all around!! A return is definite! read more

I've driven past it a number of times when I come to this town to visit a friend, but before staying to housesit this weekend I never had the opportunity to try. I had a pollo tapatio plate (smashed chicken covered in queso and chorizo with typical sides) and it was delicious. I thought the chips and salsa were even a little better than they needed to be. I won't say this was a revelatory trip to a Mexican restaurant, but it was an entirely pleasant, delicious, affordable and friendly experience. I would go again, and I recommended the guy for whom I'm housesitting try it as well when he returns. It's a crime to live so close to this place and not patronize it. read more

I try to be fair on Yelp but man, this place is struggling. Simply put: not good. Salsa and chips are old and no flavor. The steak taco I got was mostly chewy and also, no flavor. My daughter got a kids meal and I wouldn't let her eat it. The beers were sooooo expensive and place was dead for a Friday at 6pm. I really hope they change things or do something different bc I don't like leaving reviews like this... but I would not eat here read more

Was out running errands after work and needed a quick place to stop and decided to try this place out finally! They offer complimentary chips and salsa when you are seated, which are wonderful. The salsa has a nice spice to it and tastes fresh. I decided on the fajita taco salad, which was delivered pretty shortly after having ordered my food. The fajitas were full of flavor and it was a great portion size. The staff were friendly and attentive. I would return here in the future to try out some other dishes! read more

Oh where to begin. The margarita was horrible. Worst I've ever had. When the food finally came, they forgot the children's food. The adults were finished eating before the children's meals came. An appetizer dip that was ordered came with the food and not before, then we had to ask for more chips. When they kids food finally did come, the hot dog bun was hard as a rock and the hot dog cold. We never received refills. After waiting fifteen minutes for our check we finally went to the front to pay. We had to wait another fifteen minutes for someone to wait on us to pay. I'll look on the bright side ... we now know where not to go for dinner again. read more

I normally go to La Fiesta at least twice a month. I find their prices reasonable and their food delicious. For the first time yesterday I decided to sit at the bar and have a drink as I waited on my to go order. I ordered the mango margarita which they were out of but was advised on Saturday's the strawberry and lime margaritas are $4.99. So I ordered that and had both flavors (half and half). The margarita was delicious and strong (they definitely aren't stingy with the liquor in there). I definitely could not finish it before my to go order was ready. So I stayed longer and tackled that. I ordered the playa burrito which comes with rice and guacamole salad. I always ask for rice and beans which they will do. You also get chips and salsa with your to go order as well. The portion size is good and the food was great as usual. My normal order is the fried shrimp chimichanga, just delicious! I always get quick friendly service here and would definitely recommend them. read more
