My daughter and I ate there last week and we both got taco salads. We couldn't finish them as we both found about an inch of water in the bottom of the bowl. It seems like such a small task to put the lettuce in a spinner before serving. So we paid the bill left a tip (wasn't the server's fault} and left. Needed a quick lunch after visiting Walmart and this spot was pretty empty at 12 on a Monday. Service was pretty fast even with a large party. Loved that the salsa comes in carafes with little dishes you can pour individual servings into. Everyone in our group got their food as ordered and we all enjoyed it. I'll start with, our server was great! My friend and I stopped into your restaurant on Friday 1/31/25. After we had ordered food, drinks, and shots we were asked by the manager to leave. He said they were busy and needed our table. However, there was no one waiting for a table and there were three large tables next to us that were empty. I had to convince myself to stop gobbling them up to leave room for dinner. I ordered the Fajitas Texanas with Shrimp and marinated beef, and they were the best fajitas I've ever had. We go here from time to time. The interior is colorful, pretty clean, and roomy. Compared to similar restaurants in the area, the food is a tad pricey. I usually get the mixed fajitas for one. Its good, served hot and what I expect. The chicken nachos are a nice appetizer but it's inconsistent. The food is very good at Mi Tierra; the service? Terrible. When you arrive, nobody greets you; when the servers drop off your food that is the last time you will ever see them. They do not check back to see if everything is alright, they do not see if you would like another drink, nothing. And then you have to flag someone down to get your check. My suggestion is that if you think you will want another drink, order it right away or you will be left without it. I really wish their service was better, because you can't really have a nice dinner out at Mi Tierra given the lack of friendliness and lack of service. read more

Wow, this place really impressed my wife and I! Before we could sit down they brought out salsa and chips. As soon as we sat down they took our drink order and brought drinks right away. My husband and I went in for a quick lunch. We have never been to this place before. It was not busy on a Tuesday afternoon. We waited to be greeted, Only to be greeted by the manager with an attitude problem. We didn't ask for anything extra other than a straw. We sat quietly. The food came out. Fajitas were cold, tasteless. The manager / server never came to check on us. He had an attitude from the time he seatted us. When, we went to pay the bill My husband mentioned the food. He mentioned that the Fajitas were not sizzling, not cooked and That he was going to take them home and cook the fajitas. Upon which the manager said: "Don't come back". All because we mentioned this fact to him. When my hub tried to explain that the fajitas were cold etc... The manager literally screamed at hy husband saying: "GET OUT. DON'T COME BACK MOTHER F'ER". He literally called my husband a Mother F*cker! My husband responded.."No worries...We won't!". It's beyond me why this manager / server was so hostile, rude, belligerent. We sat quietly. Ate what food we could, asked for a straw & "To Go" containers and paid the check. When my hub asked for a bag... The manager puffed out his chest as though he was going to swing at my husband. Just weird, unhinged, angry behavior towards patrons. As for the food...It's microwaved and average. Maybe, it's decent food for those that don't know good Mexican food. ( Lived in NM & TX). So we know good Mexican food. This food was frozen, uncooked, tasteless slop. This restaurant seriously needs to fire the manager / server. His name is "Thomas"? He's a liability. DO NOT EAT HERE:: We dined here this evening ordering 2 tacos and a side of rice. We weren't that hungry but wanted to get out of the house for a bit. When I got my receipt I notice there was an additional charge of $2.99. When I asked what the additional charge was for I was first told by the server "the manager told me to charge you this, talk to him" then when I went up to the manager he asked "well did you eat the chips and salsa?" Well yes but I didn't order it, it was brought to my table when the server brought waters. Then I was told by the manager I was cheap and he charged me for chips and salsa because I don't want to spend money and to never come back to his restaurant because I'm too cheap (exact words). He said," I wouldn't leave my house for tacos". I have NEVER in my life had a dining experience such as this. I am absolutely floored. We frequently go to mexican restaurants and order 2 tacos and rice and have never experienced this at any mexican restaurant. We always enjoy this place! They have true vegetarian beans and a large vegetarian section on the menu. The food is typically spiced correctly and it's always tasty. It seems like the owner works here a lot and the service is consistent. It's kind of hidden, but worth finding and with a try. Entered the establishment. Was looked at by a worker but no offer to seat me. Finally someone told me to choose anywhere. It wasn't busy. Was handed a menu in silence, no drink order. Someone brought me chips and salsa after several minutes, but didn't ask for drink order. A 3rd person took my order. Efficient and to the point ordering. Not working the tips here, which I appreciate. You know how most Mexican restaurants have your food out pronto? Well, I felt like I was waiting awhile for my taco salad. Basket of chips sat empty, although I still had cheese dip left and altho several staff, including my waiter passed by. I finally asked for more chips. The food was acceptable, but served like my chips without speaking. I've had worse and I've had better. Slow to get my check. This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the area. I would say that I eat here 3-4 times a month, and I am constantly craving their food. It seems to be one of the only Mexican restaurants in the area that actually seasons their food! The chips, salsa, and cheese dip are consistently delicious as well, which is important because that's not the case at many other similar restaurants. In addition to their amazing food, everyone who works here is super friendly whether you are eating in or carrying out. All in all, I really love this place. I would have given them 5 stars, but there have been multiple times where a small item has been left out of a pickup order. It's not super frequent, but it happens enough to note. read more

I ate at Mi Tierras tonight and was very pleased with the experience. My wife and I stopped in at about 5:30pm and we were seated immediately. I ordered enchiladas rancheras and my wife ordered a burrito combo dinner. The food arrived at our table within minutes, the portions were very generous and it was very hot. Both meals were tasty and the service was prompt and friendly. The atmosphere in the restaurant was casual, they had two large TV's in the dining room featuring the latest sports news from ESPN. They offer the usual range of Mexican and domestic beers and also had a bar area available. I will return to Mi Tierras in the near future and recommend this restaurant to fans of Mexican cuisine in the area. read more

Finally decided to go in and try Mi Tierra after talking about trying it for forever. I was not let down. I won't say it's the best food I've ever had in my life, but I think it was definitely a step above a lot of typical Mexican restaurants I've been to. The food tasted better. Service was prompt and friendly. No complaints there. The portions are huge and in my opinion, priced appropriately. The menu is literally a book - soooo many options. The chips were hot and fresh and the salsa was tasty. I ordered the Quesadilla Mi Tierra with beef. My husband got the Enchiladas Supremas. Both tasted really good. The quesadilla's cheese was delicious and the beef in it was more comparable to steak. The enchiladas came with 1 bean, 1 cheese, 1 chicken, and 1 beef. The beef in that was shredded. The only complaint we had was that the chicken was a little dry, but other than that everything was very tasty. I would order either of those dishes again. read more

We have been coming to this restaurant for many years now. As a lot of people do, we have our favorite waiter, and ask for him when we go in. He knows exactly the way my husband likes his fajitas, which is a little bit different than the average person. Tonight, he went up to get a carry out order, and again asked for our favorite waiter. The manager told him that our waiter was not there, and he would have to come back Tuesday when he was there. He commented to him "you make me feel like shit when you ask for him". My husband stated that we liked this waiter, and he always does a good job. The manager commented "we all do a good job", refused to serve him, turned and walked away. WTH???? The staff here treated us like a nuisance. They seated us with grunts and head nods. When we ordered, our server seemed put out that we came in. After we ordered, I said "thank you", which he ignored altogether and said nothing back. We arrived at 9:30 for a late drink and chips. Unbeknownst to us, they closed at 10. The food was ok. But when we went to get the check (a couple, and our friend plus her two young children), the waiter said the check was together, but he could split at the register. The check was literally a column of numbers - no description of anything to assist with figuring it out. While at the register I pulled out a menu to help identify what was mine and my husband's vs our friend and our kids, to make it easier; also to find the exact name of what I had ordered. He then - and immediately - got very defensive that I did so and took it as an accusation that the bill was incorrect. Which is not why I did it - I was trying to be helpful. I told him I didn't doubt that but was used to seeing an itemized check. He continued to act very put out through the rest of the process. I should also note that the food was auctioned off when brought to the table, so it obviously wasn't clear who had ordered what; I worked in the industry for years and that's not the norm in my existence.
