I'm pretty picky when it comes to my Mexican food. I'm not your typical gringo. I like it spicy and flavorful! Coming from the West coast, it was a little bit difficult to find pretty good Mexican food in the Cincinnati area. There's only a handful of places I like to return to and this is definitely one of them! Great food full of flavor and always meeting the cut! We came in on a Sunday evening and I think they were a bit short-staffed. Service took a while but the servers are all dressed in shirts and ties and they were very friendly even though you could tell they were a bit overworked. Ambiance is also very good and the place just appears very clean. I usually get the Chori Pollo which is not the most authentic but I love it! My husband loves the burrito with the pineapple on it. We've been coming here for years. Always friendly and I love their enchiladas. Energetic atmosphere with a vast menu. They have beautiful and large margaritas. My meal was comped last night because I had what appeared to be two small rocks in my refried beans. Yes, I know...when making bean dishes using dried beans, it's possible to see rocks which need removing. I'm not sure if that's what happened and they just didn't look over them well or if they used canned beans and they were in there. Anyway, they were apologetic and comped my meal and gave me a free dessert. read more

I kicked things off with the birria tacos; flavor was fine, but I do prefer mine crispy, cheesy, and less floppy. Not the best descriptors, I know--but these leaned toward the flimsier side. Thankfully, things picked up fast once the tower of margaritas arrived in full fireworks glory. Talk about a showstopper. Between the buzz from the drinks and the endless flow of chips and salsa (no complaints there), the experience definitely tilted in the right direction. My first visit to a local small chain that I've read a lot about in the Enquirer. First the chips & salsa were fantastic. Thin and crispy and the salsa was flavorful with just the right amount of spice. Our server and service were quick and attentive. Shortly after we ordered we received our meal which was hot with a generous portion. I enjoyed my veggie lunch fajitas with rice & beans. The tortillas were delicious and perfect size. A great place to stop off the highway. Super clean, really good food, and really great service. I ordered the Veracruz plate, with shrimp, onions, mushrooms and tomatoes, and it was so flavorful. We ordered door dash from this restaurant and were not really impressed. We ordered one burrito supreme meal and one kids burrito. When the food arrived we weren't able to tell which was the kids meal and which the adult. Both were supposed to be chicken, but one was ground beef. Cancun is our go-to neighborhood Mexican place (everyone has one)! The service is quick and friendly and we have never had to wait for a table. We can be in and out within 30-45 minutes. It is very kid friendly. My go to is the chimichanga or taco salad. My husband loves the burritos. If you are there on a busy night, it can get loud but nothing too crazy. read more

We sat at the bar, got decently attentive service, and they acquiesce to all of our requests, although when I ordered fajitas with corn tortillas they brought me flour, not a big deal. They have extremely spicy salsa if you asked for it, lots of habanero peppers. Good serving sizes, decent prices, and for Americanized chain restaurant Mexican food it's pretty good. The best Mexican restaurant in the Northern Kentucky area! Don't let the lack of a wait time scare you, the service is great and the food is good/fairly priced. My favorite dish are the chicken taquitos. Although it's only on the lunch menu, they are super flexible and allow you to order it during dinner! I ordered the Enchiladas Bandera 11.99 Three corn tortillas: one with cheese topped with spinach sauce, one with beans topped with queso sauce and one with beef topped with red sauce (substituted beef for another cheese enchilada, but kept the red sauce). They all were good. The rice and beans were okay. Nothing spectacular, however I appreciated them coming with my meal. Service was good but a little on the slower side. Where do I begin, they are fast in delivering good margaritas and great food! The Diablo shrimp is amazing

I enjoyed this restaurant for lunch. The staff was fast and friendly. The food was well prepared and reasonably priced. It's your typical americanized Mexican food so don't expect any fancy gourmet dishes. They have great happy hour specials. (See picture) Unfortunately I was only there long enough for lunch. There are plenty of tables for varying party sizes with Latin music playing over the speakers. It is well decorated with hand painted wall murals, faux stucco walls and columns, and decorative brick work. The staff all wear matching burgundy shirts and black pants. I would come back here for lunch, dinner, and especially happy hour! I also spied a frozen margarita machine in the bar with lots of different tequilas on the wall above. read more

Fabulous (and dangerously strong) margaritas! I'm a big fan of the Pollo a la Cancun, which is grilled chicken, chorizo and zucchini smothered in queso (what's not to love?). My husband loves the chorizo quesadilla. This may not be the most authentic Mexican restaurant in the world, but it's the best one we've found in the area. It took us a long time to find quality Mexican food up here, so we are loyal to Cancun! read more

I so like going here if not to crowded on my way back south from Cincinnati. It's easy to get to and the food is really good. They do birthdays and very good seating once you get into the building. Parking is ok and there are a few more places in the shopping center. read more
