We thought Veracruz Mexican Grill was great. We arrived at lunchtime during the week. It was not crowded and we opted to sit outside. The back patio looks fantastic. I can imagine it would be extra fun with the tables filled with patrons enjoying their great food. The guy helping us was very pleasant and helped us order. I ordered a Torta, a sandwich that kicked butt! We absolutely enjoyed our meal here and look forward to returning. We plan to bring my nephew's family here soon, so yeah, it's good!

Amazing lunch visit. Their chips are crispy and light, and service was prompt. The lunch portions are a good size, and I was able to eat half of my chicken fajitas the next day for another lunch.

5 for food, service and ambiance! We came for breakfast (8-2 weekends) Aug 20 and had wonderfully delicious Veggie Omelettes beautifully prepared, with potatoes and toast on the side...generous portion all around. The accompanying jalapeño and tomato-chili sauces were a great sidekick! We had coffee with the baked goods we bought from their attached panadería! The Mexican Cheesecake and Creme Croissant were fabulous! Our waiter Armando was attentive and helpful. We will definitely comeback for brunch again!

This is a hidden gem of a place. No idea why I didn't try this before! This is a family run restaurant in East Price Hill, and the food is so good! The space is adequate, and the interior is interesting. The walls have paintings that reminded me of the movie Coco. We went for Cincy taco week, and ordered one of each- Pollo, Beef and Barbacoa! All were so good. The tortillas were fresh. The meats were well seasoned. The pollo was probably my favorite! Also they give a free chips and salsa for the table, and those chips are really good! They have many other things on the menu, which I'd definitely return to try. The service was very prompt and quick.

Lovely staff and great offerings but Veracruz has a lot of room for improvement. I started with the spicy margarita - it lacked any heat - it also didn't have any jalapeños... so I am wondering if they forgot to follow the spicy recipe. In similar fashion, the Tom's Fajita was missing key items; it didn't have the mushroom, jalapeños or cactus. Cactus sounded fun and was a huge reason for ordering this particular dish, but it sadly it was left out. The guacamole had a good chunky texture but the flavor was lacking: no spice, no tangy lime twist, nothing. Since the dishes were generally lacking any bite, I asked for some hot sauce (and I was delighted that two were offered, both homemade). The issue was that they weren't particularly great: one had some sort of odd fermented flavor (couldn't place it, but not for lack of trying it a few times over the course of the meal), and the second sauce was just OK. Presentation on all of the dishes got an A+, as did the attentiveness of the staff. The star of the night was the one al pastor taco that I shared with a friend as an after thought. It was truly delicious, and probably is the sole reason I'll give Veracruz another try sometime.

Ask the Community - Veracruz Mexican Grill

They raised there prices on tacos?

Based on previously posted photos of the menu at Veracruz and my experience there last Tuesday, I would say they've raised the prices on everything. I ordered a salad for $12.99 which had previously been priced at $9.99.

There was a DJ & a dance floor, but very few people were dancing, which was disappointing. The place itself was cool with colorful lights & fun graffiti-like walls, but the aesthetic was let down by the lack of people. We enjoyed the free popcorn & I really liked my drink, the downside up, although I realize it's probably too sweet for most. Unfortunately, the cocktail & popcorn didn't make up for the dead atmosphere & we left pretty quickly. I would be interested in going again & seeing what it would be like when it's lively; I imagine it would be a fun spot when the dance floor is full!

It was a nice night so we took advantage of being able to sit outside. I love all the random art and set up of the back. To drink I had the chunker, which was gin in a San Pelegríno it was a very refreshing drink! Deceptively doesn't taste like alcohol. I noticed some people with white claws and little airplane bottles so naturally I have to have a strong claw as well. We also had some very tasty shots, all around we had a good time, just hanging out and enjoying drinks, can't wait to come back here and visit again!

Food: 5/5 Dishes are explained as slightly larger plates than tapas style. My favorites: Wood Grilled Octopus, Crispy Falafel, Bouillabaisse. Love the Moroccan Mint Tea as well! Service: 4.7/5 Very friendly! They course out your plates for you which I always love. They were able to accommodate my pescatarian diet (I.e., meats on the side to give to others at the table). On a less busy night, they offered a free toast for my birthday. I've been for other celebratory dinners here on busier nights where that hasn't happened, so it was a lovely surprise! Ambiance: 4/5 A little busy and can get loud on the weekends with table chatter, cutlery clinks, and the brick walls echoing noise around. Tables are also close together, so you can definitely hear the conversation next to you. The decor is pleasant and the lighting is soft and romantic enough that it is still a perfect date night spot! There are also a couple larger crescent booths for larger parties.
