Went there to eat yesterday for brunch and was disappointed. Drinks came out fairly quick, but after thirty-five minutes, we asked about the food. The waitress said she would check as they were short-staffed. Ten minutes later, we said we would pay for our beer and then left. We had not been there for some months, but always enjoyed the food and wait staff. We're not sure the wait is worth it. Talking with a friend who I saw at another table, they waited forever for their meal and said for the price, it wasn't worth the price. Another couple said in the past few months, they'll stop in for a beer, but they've waited for a long time for food and usually don't order any more. read more

Came in for my partner's birthday dinner since we were excited to try some of the "fancy" grilled cheese I had been seeing on social media. Well, apparently the grilled cheese menu is only available on Tuesdays, which in hindsight I should have noticed from the menu being labeled "Toasty Tuesday" but I digress. We ended up ordering from the regular menu and got the pretzels, crab rangoons, and Thai style chicken sandwich. For the crab rangoons, I have no notes, but I have never had a rangoon I didn't like. The pretzels were kind of small and were pretty dense in texture but the cheese sauce was tasty. The Thai chicken sandwich was okay, the chicken had a lot of breading and all the sauce and slaw made it pretty messy to eat. The flavors were good but I am not sure how much chicken I was actually getting. The parmesan truffle fries were tasty with good flavor but I do wish they were a little crispier for my personal preference. I also had the coriolis effect beer and really enjoyed it. All in all, it was pretty expensive for what we got but I might try this place again to try some more beers and get crab rangoons on a trivia night (they do trivia on Thursday evenings) although ultimately, it didn't live up to my expectations. weve been several times and generally like the food and beer. However, last night was an epic failure. Multiple tables left uncleared and cleaned thus making people stand and wait for a table. The hostess was confused and not welcoming, should not have been the first person people talk to guests. To too it off, the $10.00 pretzel with cheese is roughly one half of one pretzel. We've had them before and it was clear that they had reduced the portion to stretch them out for the night. The trash can fries come with shaved prime rib but that was out as well so they said they would reduce the price by $2.00 which was still not enough but of course, they didn't. This place has two personalities; the food and the beer. The beer has been consistently good. I am not an IPA drinker but I can say that I have enjoyed several of the other beers. The ambiance is fine. Games on TVs and half the tables were empty (with a 20-minute wait). It is located in a good location in a nicely remodeled strip mall but the walls and floor are mostly concrete making it very loud. They have made an effort to work on it by hanging some material from the ceiling. So, there is a recognition and some effort to fix it. However, I'm sorry to say the kitchen is no longer as amazing as it once was. This evening when I said to my wife, I'm craving a good burger, she said what about "Loose Ends"? I was excited, the last time we were there, I had a hangover burger (with an egg) and raved about it and the side of Stir Fried broccoli I ordered. We hadn't been there for many months and I was excited to go. The hangover burger is no longer on the menu, but a new smash burger sounded good. I ordered it with no pickles and the stir-fried broccoli. My wife got the standard burger with a side salad. The Smash Burger came out with a bunch of pickles on the burger. I don't like pickles and I don't like pickle juice. I told the person dropping the food that I ordered without pickles. He stated "We don't make changes to this burger" and I reminded him it was ordered without pickles. He literally huffed and walked away with the burger and I watched him walk back to the kitchen window, grab a fork pick them off, and walk right back to the table. remember, I don't like pickles or pickle juice and it's because, for whatever reason, it is a taste that overwhelms everything else on a meal in a bad way. So, I told him "Not good enough, I watched you pull them off." again, he huffed and walked away with it. Out came another "chef" and he said "Here is a fresh bun" and once again said we don't modify this order and your waiter should have not let you put it in that way. Wow, throwing the waiter under the bus. The waiter (Dustin) was great BTW - fast, efficient, and courteous. Then the "chef" walked away. I was mad, my experience was ruined. Then I tasted the burger and it was not good. The burgers were not smashed and they were clearly frozen patties and not cooked properly. Even my loved broccoli was bad. I'm not sure it was even stir-fired. My wife's burger was also not the same fresh hand-painted burger we had come to expect. She was also disappointed. Long story short. This place is not what it once was with regard to the kitchen. They are either understaffed and can't handle simple requests or they just have an assembly line going and the food is pre-made which was never the case in the past. Go for the beer. Maybe the apps. But I can no longer recommend the food unless the kitchen gets its act together again. read more

I hate to write a negative review for a local restaurant but in this case I feel its needed. We went to Loose Ends tonight for the first time (2 Adults and one child) and our bill was $80 for two sandwiches, soup and an appetizer. The pretzel appetizer came with beer cheese which was good however it was served with 4 small dry pretzel pieces (barely enough for one person) and it was $10. I got the spicey tofu and I like some heat. However this dish was so hot it was inedible. When the server asked about it, I told him the issue and he advised me to just scrape off the sauce. The rest of the meal was just average. While serving us, he was sitting at a nearby table eating his dinner. Needless to say, our service suffered. Overall, the portions were very small and expensive. Lots of better options around town with larger portions, attentive servers and cheaper! read more

I love everything about this place! The beer is great, the Hefeweizen with a lemon is one of the best I've ever had. Their food is also five stars. I've had their seafood jalapeño bombs (soooo good), beet salad with salmon (fresh and healthy), chips with salsa, homemade crab rangoon (MUST TRY!) and their french fries are really good too. Unfortunately, we had a subpar dining experience with mediocre food at increasingly expensive prices. Not to mention that the staff and management were non-responsive and abrasive, at best. We stopped by this new brewery on our road trip up to MI. It just opened in Oct 2020. I had a flight of beers, and I liked all of the beers that I ordered. The black mild was my favorite. They have a lot of beers on tap, and they have very good selection of different beers. I ordered the crab topped salmon w/ broccoli & Parmesan truffle fries. The salmon was pretty good. The broccoli & fries were SOOOO YUMMY!! My hubby ordered Churrasco steak with broccoli & hatch chili fries... his churrasco was ok. We were also able to get a few small beer tasters for my mother-in-law to try some beers. I'm trying to turn her into a beer lover! :) Our awesome waitress was very nice & helpful with suggestions for her beer samples. Overall, this brewery is doing everything right! They require face masks while walking around the brewery. They also had a nice little machine at the entrance that measures temp. All of the employees were very nice. The food was good. I had a burger and fries. Yelp says nothing about requiring reservations but when we arrived on a Friday evening the restaurant was half empty. They asked if we had reservations. When we said no they seemed insulted and said it would be a half hour before we could be seated. At no point during our visit did the restaurant reach half capacity. read more

I went to Loose Ends yesterday for a Plant Event. The place was packed. The gentlemen at the front suggested my friend and I sit at the bar. We went to the back and sat down. Finally the bartender (an older lady with grey hair) asked what we wanted to drink. My friend ordered a cocktail and I asked for an unsweet tea, no lemon. The bartender's response..."I have to go way over there for that". My response, "I can go and get it if you want". She then stated, "You can't". I just look at her, like ok. ‍ A few minutes later she came back with my tea and the lemon. I took the lemon off of my glass, got up and walked to the front. When I told the gentleman at the front, his response was..."I know exactly who it is". I told him I wanted to speak to the manager but I would wait until I was leaving. Went back, we ordered our food. Ha ha. Bartender appeared nicer. My friend and I both commented, someone had spoken to her. Well, my food came and there was a hair laying on the corner of my plate. The new me just took the hair off with a napkin. I inspected my food didn't see any more hair. Yep! I ate all my food. I'm 57, pretty sure I've eaten plenty of hair in my day. We paid our bill and of course...No tip. I always tip but I'm done. She's a bartender/server...do your job. I don't drink alcohol and I'm not going to drink it so you don't have to walk!!! On my way out the door I let the gentleman know that there was a hair on my plate and due to her rudeness, I did not tip her. He said he knew exactly who was being rude, went straight to the manager about her. Well, when will these restaurant owners realize, if you have a bad egg, you're loosing customers?! I certainly will not be back. I always tip 20%, which tip amount doesn't matter. Some people can't afford to eat out or tip. I tip because I know servers/bartenders work hard for their money. Have been to this new brewery now two times! First time we got the crab meat queso dip as an appetizer & I got chicken wings. Both were delicious! Currently, on Tuesdays they are having a special which is tomato soup & grilled cheese for $10. The tomato soup was rich & creamy with Gouda cheese in it. There were 4 or 5 different grilled cheeses to pick from, all gourmet. I chose the 5 cheese one & it was fabulous! My husband has gotten the reuben twice now & says it is the best Reuben he has ever had. I really want to try the crab Rangoon next time. I've heard good things. There are several beer options on the menu, but there are a few too many dark beers in my humble opinion. I like lighter beers. They also have a lot of cocktail options on the menu as well. Went there for a date night with another couple this Sunday. And I've done my share of crafted brews considering everything on tap is theirs. This is incredible. All the food was on point made scratch in the house. I can't believe it. The owner gave us a tour of the back room in the brewery area, talking about what was coming up, the staff, including Paulina were incredibly friendly, helpful words. Always excited to see a new brewery in town and we were happy to visit, and get a table without issue, a week after their grand opening. The only negative about our experience was the 10+ min wait for our server to come to our table - a high top near the bar. We tried all 8 of their beers on draft as tasters and honestly liked them all! Standout favorite was the Henry Hefeweizen- please can it! Look forward to their tapping more styles like Stouts and Porters soon. My husband and I split chicken tenders and fries as an appetizer and it was good, would recommend. A lot of the food items are a little different for a brewery, but they all sounded delicious! Lots of burgers, appetizers (crab rangoons, crab queso, jalapeño bombs). We arrived around 5PM on Saturday and had no issue getting a table, but there was a wait by 6:30. The space is massive and tables are very well separated, so we felt safe sitting inside. Went there this evening with my husband for a date night. Our server named Stone was fast, very friendly and he gave several great suggestions on what to order. We started with the Korean wings with the sweet Thai chili sauce. They were super crispy and the sauce was amazing!!!! My husband and I both tried flights of beers with this being our first time we wanted to discover what they had to offer. My favorite was the Heiferwisen beer. My husband really enjoyed the German style beer. We also had the crab queso dip and chips and which did not disappoint! My husband ordered the Morning after burger and I had the Chorizo burger. Also tried a full flight of the first 5 beers on their tap list, and enjoyed all of them as well (especially their Session IPA). Loose Salad Maybe My wife and I were looking forward to trying lunch here. It was early and not at all busy. The service was good. The noise was already pushing 75-80 decibel. I'm sure on weekend nights it's unbearable. We ordered wings and they were awesome. We ordered the salmon sliders and they were also great. I ordered the house salad and did't mention no tomatoes, because when I asked about the avocado having them, the waiter didn't know And I mentioned that I could not eat it if it did. So she didn't,t bring any. So of course the salad had plenty of tomato's. The salad bowl was so angled the dressing fell out and spilled on the table. The lettuce was big leaves and so old, the knife would not cut it . REALLY! It went all over the table. Please make salads palatable, not pretty! read more
