I've been going to Long Nail spa sporadically over the past couple of years and I've always loved them! Mimi, the owner, is always able to squeeze me in (and when it comes to getting my nails done, I usually go with 30 minutes notice) so her flexibility is truly appreciated. The staff are all super sweet and always remember me even if it's been months since my last visit (there are a handful of nail shops closer to where I live now which is the only reason why I may not come to Long Nail Spa). Another thing I love about this place is their massages! They even give a little neck and shoulder massage ;) - much appreciated after a long day of taking care of my 4 month old! I got a gel manicure during my last visit and a regular pedicure both done to perfection. I am sad to write this updated review. I really liked this place but the last time i went my gel nails got chipped/cracked lines at the end before a full week. I am kicking myself in the but dor going to try them again thinking that it was just that one time, but today they really let me down. I got white tip gel nails and they came out awful. They have bubbles and scratches everywhere, i will upload a photo. I was to shy and embarrased to say anything, but thats just how I am. I am that girl who never returns food at a resturant no matter what. If i were you id go somewhere else. This place is amazing. I usually go to tiptoes but they were super busy, so I stopped by here. MIMI & her staff always take care of me! Since I have moved to Pittsburg this shop is more convenient than my other go to. I tried this place out again for the second time and brought my pregnant sister with me literally a day before she went into labor lol! She was so happy with the way she was treated and so was I! We both agreed that this spot has waaaay more of a selection of colors to choose from. Actually I feel like they probably have the biggest selection I have seen in comparison to all the places I have been to. All the ladies there are friendly and pay attention to detail. After my sister gave birth and got situated at home I realized one of my toes got ruined so I went back in and took my niece with me to get it fixed. I asked how much it would be to do her nails and I was surprised by how reasonable their prices were compared to other shops (which I appreciate because her nails are so tiny it doesn't make sense to pay so much in the first place!) I was not charged to fix my toes but I insisted on leaving a big tip and my niece was happy she came along with me. After about my usual two weeks, my cousin wanted to try this place out because her daughter showed off her nails. So I made an appointment for the three of us. The workers seem desperate which is not a great feeling if I'm tryna pamper myself for once. As I was getting my manicure, she was rushing through and they were sweeping the floors and getting ready for closing. My nails turned out great but I am also not sure how sterile their equipment is since they were hopping on one person to the next. One was for a 21st birthday and one was for getting all As on her report card. So it was a celebration for both. Most other places around here charge $35-40 for for gel manicure, and $45-65 for acrylic full set depending on what they do. My younger sister is a nailist but she's out of the area, and she said they shouldn't have been charged more than $100, and that's on the high side. My girls got charged $165 all together. Completely ripping off young women that are working hard. Lesson learned. read more

The man also gave me, my boyfriend and our son mini water bottles. He was really nice! The lady who was doing his pedicure was nice and interacted with our son. She took her time with him and was very careful since he is a diabetic. I caught him closing his eyes a few times so I know she was doing a great job plus the massage chair was relaxing. Make sure you have cash. It's cheaper this way. Not only is it more to use your card but they charge you one dollar to use your card on top of it being more than if you use cash. I never had trouble getting in. The prices are reasonable and the service is great. They're very friendly and I like that they don't mind when I bring my children with me which is every time. They give you a bottle of water when you sit down and they do not speak in their language when you are having your nails done. Major peeve of mine. The massage could be a bit longer for the regular pedicure. But I'll take what I can get. I get gel manicures and a regular pedicure and I can usually be out of there in less than an hour for both services. read more

I have been going to Long Nail Spa for about three years now, and I have always been incredibly happy with my experience there. It's close by me which is a bonus, but I keep going because they do a great job on my nails every time. I visit the salon regularly for a mani-pedi. Nothing too fancy, just the deluxe pedicure and regular mani with regular polish for both fingers and toes. Mimi and her team at Long Nail Spa are always gentle and they pay attention to detail. My feet are extremely ticklish, but they always seem to get in a good scrub despite my giggling. They are also always checking-in since I tend to twitch a lot when I get tickled. I always walk out with fantastic looking nails! Manis last a week or more and pedis last me at least three weeks. That is despite the fact that my nails grow pretty quickly. They also have lots of colors to choose from. They take walk-ins, but the salon is getting popular so it pays to call ahead for an appointment. Also, make sure to have cash with you. This was quite possibly The best manicure I've ever had. I called a couple minutes prior to walking in to confirm that they would be able to take me. I walked in and I only waited a couple minutes. And they set me an a pedicure chair. They brought me a cold bottle of water which was a nice surprise. The girl giving me my pedicure was very gentle and thorough. Hot stone massage and exfoliating are part of their standard pedicure. I was very pleasantly surprised. The manicure was great too. She took her time to really make sure everything was perfect. While my nails were drying she massages my neck and shoulders with warm lotion. And then proceeded to massage my whole arm and hands. It was so relaxing and wonderful. Lastly, their color selection needs a MAJOR update and sometimes the pricing is a little iffy. I have been an avid PK Nails customer for a long time, but I've grown tired of the way they rush through manicures and pedicures. So today, my boyfriend and I decided to try Long Nail spa for pedicures, and we were both very pleased. These ladies took their time and were detail oriented. Because I got a comment from the manager threatening legal action for my review I will say this. I sat with my fingers in acetone for a long time. When MMA (the monomer in question is used) is put in acetone is get goopy compared to the right stuff where it gets chippy. That stuff made a mess that took forever to get off. Don't believe me. This consisted of the standard pedicure, with callus softening, sea salt scrub, paraffin wax, hot stone massage, sea mask wrap and hot towel. Definitely the pedicure to treat yourself! They also supplied small water bottles to everyone waiting. The nails turned out great (French tip alternate color acrylic manicure $31 and normal shellac manicure $15). However, we had made an appointment beforehand, but they cared about everyone else's nails besides ours. It took 2 hours for all 3 of us to be finished. They made no conversation and left me at many times to go do other things with no explanation, including at the end when I was drying my nails for forever before deciding to just get up and pay.
