Romaine Heart Caesar with Salmon

A warm Sunday evening and an early dinner at Lola's. Quickly seated outside, though it seems they weren't using their main patio. Friendly server and fast service. We enjoyed the Brussels sprouts w/hot honey and our cocktails. I loved my Suburban Squared bourbon drink with lemon. Our salads were delicious and the falafel was perfectly done and a great pairing with the feta cheese. There weren't a lot of nectarine slices but they also weren't very flavorful so that was fine. It was lovely to sit outside by the fountain.

We came here for dinner while staying at my sister's before she moved. We were seated outside. It looked like a nice and busy spot, lots of seating indoor and outdoor but mostly packed when we went. I got the pasta and hubby got the pizza, they were pretty good. We had a nice night.

One of my favorite restaurants in Ardmore is Lola's Garden. The food is always so so good and their drinks?- 10/10. I highly reccomend going for brunch so you can pick between their amazing breakfast and lunch menu (the cinnamon rolls were top notch) This is a perfect place to stop by if you're shopping in the town center and need a bite! Once the weather stays nice out, their outdoor space is really lovely too!

Came here for the first time for a friend's birthday. The staff were very nice and accommodating! Food was great to share in a spread. The inside was nicely decorated and bustling (even after a storm). A small thing that bothered me but really isnt a huge deal, was the layout of the seated tables inside. We were at a round table next to the fake tree inside, and next to the bathroom and bar, and anytime other guests on the other side of the restaurant were trying to get to the bathroom, they would shove themselves behind us to get through. It was a strange path choice considering there wasnt much room behind us and we were constantly interrupted and having to move our seat to let people through. I think the flow of the room could be better so this doesnt happen but otherwise it was a good spot for catch up with friends!

Came here on a whim because it was always cute and I wanted to try something new in the Suburban Station area. The decor is pretty cute. Service was very lacking. Waited at the hostess area for 5 minutes to be seated. Tables and bar station were pretty empty. There were, literally, 5 people inside the restaurant when we entered. Should've known it was a red flag. Only ordered 3 things on the menu because nothing else really peaked my interest. The duck fat fries were okay. Crispy. The rigatoni was good but it did not come out piping hot. Semi warm. The scallops were not fresh. I was able to finish 4 out of 5 though. Truly regret eating that now because it really messed up stomach up. Almost didn't make it home because my tummy was turning and churning. Get my drift? Anyway, I wouldn't recommend going there. The place, literally, left a bad taste in my mouth with a sh!tty experience.

We had a delicious dinner at Lola's Garden tonight. It's located in Suburban Square in Ardmore. There are many parking options nearby. The interior is rustic chic. There were many great choices on the menu. We tried the whipped ricotta as an appetizer. The presentation of the whipped ricotta and puréed beets was as beautiful as it was delicious. For our entrees we had the Amish fried chicken and the smashburgers. The portions were generous, and we devoured it all. Our server was Michael D. He was friendly and attentive. I told the manager on our way out how great Michael D. is. This was our first time going to Lola's, and I know we'll be back.

A friend and I went for brunch on Saturday late afternoon. We didn't have a reservation so it was about a 10 min wait for a table. The inside was filled with pretty decor and we sat by an open window so it was bright and airy. I ordered a sangria a which was refreshing. For our meal we started by sharing the cinnamon rolls. They were a good size - the frosting was delicious, although the bread part was a little plain. For my dish I got the breakfast croissant - I asked for no meat and substitute avocado which they did for me, very much appreciated. The breakfast potatoes that came with my sandwich were my favorite - they were so crispy! Overall it was a nice place for brunch

Pookie and I came here for a Friday night date night. We sat by the open window inside of the restaurant, and I reveled in the breezy fall air all through the evening. We ordered the following during happy hour: 1. 2 Suburban Wides - I ordered Hell or High Watermelon and Hidden Still Tequila, and pookie ordered Cape May Oktoberfest and Five and 20 Bourbon. Mine was way better, and I had the best buzz :) 2. Grass Fed Burger - We shared the burger, and it was juicy, but not particularly rave worthy. At the end of the day, it's just a burger. 3. Duck Fat Fries - Below average fries. The majority of the fries were bits and pieces as it was mostly the fried ends that nobody wants. I will say, the garlic aioli was nice though. I liked our server, and I loved the energy of the restaurant. It was perky, cheery, yet romantic. It was beautiful sitting by the window with fresh air and getting to watch the sky become dark was a treat.

It's not often you find a comforting space that serves delicious brunch and provides great service, but Lola's Garden proved to be a winner with both. I visited over the weekend with a friend. She hadn't arrived yet but they allowed me to be seated at a table. It was a very busy day for Lola's, however, the staff were friendly and efficient. While I waited, I ordered an espresso martini. I haven't had one in a while but this cocktail didn't give me the jolt of energy I was waiting for. Still very tasty though! My entree was the falafel. I don't know what made me think the falafel would be served inside the pita bread but the pita was on the side instead. The falafel itself was amazing - not too dry and perfectly crunchy! The fries were excellent, too. Our waitress was so sweet and checked in every so often. She noticed we were catching up and reassured us there was absolutely no rush to leave. We ended up being one of the last few customers in there. There were other waiters and waitresses floating around helping to clear tables and refill our waters. I've heard Ardmore participates in their own Restaurant Week and I think this would be an awesome place to take advantage of the specials! Next time, I'll try Lola's for lunch or dinner.

Went in for late lunch and enjoyed every bit of it. Space is large with a verity of seating options and it's very clean. Sevice was quick and pleasant. The bar staff was friendly. The food was delicious. I got fries, brussel sprouts and a delicious chicken sandwich (so good I forgot to take a pic). And the most refreshing drink.

This place has cute and cozy decor, and in the warm spring, it is open to the elements even when indoor seating is opted for. We made reservations last minute for Sunday brunch and were pleasantly surprised that the reservation probably wasn't needed. We were seated immediately. Our server was training, so we had plenty of attention from her and her coach. The service was very good. Food and drinks were even better! My daughter started with a clementine creme soda mocktail; it wasn't her speed, so she switched to a sprite. I took a sip of it and thought it was really good. My husband had a "taken for pomegranate," and I started with a "butterfly gimlet," finished with "gin violet sour," and I can't wait to try more of the drink menu! I wish I had noticed the cocktail flights earlier. My husband ordered the French toast, and it was topped with a yummy peach compote. I had the broccolini omlette with Ricotta cheese and breakfast potatoes and mixed greens as sides. The omlette was ripped with pesto, and leftovers even held up well. My daughter had the breakfast sandwich and French fries with garlic aoili, and she had no complaints.

I've never been disappointed with my food here, and you like pub fare you're sure to find something on the menu that will hit the spot. The brisket grilled cheese was phenomenal (though more meat than cheese) and their roast pork rivals anything you'll find in the city. They have a wide variety of options on tap too. Worth checking out.

I've been to McCloskeys a few times recently, and while I've heard great things about them...I've…read moreyet to experience it. I ordered the roast beef sandwich with fries...my friend ordered muscles and the ham sandwich special. The muscles arrived cold. Not warm, not tepid...just cold. They were sent back for a trip in the microwave which is a place that shellfish should never journey too...if you want them to remain tender. When I ordered, I asked about a few items and was assured that "people love the roast beef". Now I've had "French Dip" style roast beef before at other restaurants, and when done right...it's a memorable experience. Crusty toasted torpedo style roll brimming with thinly sliced hot beef...provolone cheese melted over the top and down the sides...served with a side of au jus dipping sauce, that you would want to slurp down a soup bowl full. But this...was not that! The sandwich arrived on a hamburger style bun...the meat was piled "adequately" in the center but sloped off considerably as it headed for the edge of the bun. There was no need to worry about meat falling out as I took a bite...as none of it protruded past the buns edge. The cheese was there...a single uninspired round slice covered the cold and somewhat soggy bottom of the bun... and wasn't melted...at all! I suspect that the kitchen assumed that the meat would melt the cheese...but the meat would have to be hot for that to happen. In this sandwich...the closer you got to the middle of the "meat mound"...the colder it got. And little did I know when asked if I wanted provolone on the sandwich...that it would be an additional charge. Now for my fries. They weren't hot...they weren't even warm...they were "ice cold"! I sent them back light heartedly joking that there must be a door open in the kitchen (it was a cold evening) and the server returned shortly with hot fresh ones...minus the pickles that were on my plate. This goes to show that fries can reach the table...hot. The hot ham and cheese sandwich "special", served on a pretzel bun, wasn't hot...and wasn't special. I saw no melted cheese...only thin dry slices of ham, stiff as roofing shingles, protruded from the roll. There was no mustard...no sauce...no "something special" to make the "special", special... just stiff little sad ham planks...wondering where they went wrong On both recent visits...the service has been "spotty". (I know that cell service in the pub isn't spotty, because on my first visit...both servers had their heads buried in their phones). It doesn't seem like there's a real system in place for insuring that the customers receive "attentive" service. To their credit...they did remove the muscles from the check without us asking...but I never got a feeling that the next party to walk through the door...would have a better experience. When you find a good local pub with great food...it's like going to eat at grandmas house. You know that you'll always leave feeling warm, wanted, and fed really well. And you'll be excited by the thought of a return visit. I'm still looking.

This was probably the best breakfast/brunch I've had in a very long time. The service was immaculate. They do not do reservations but if you go early enough, you can get a seat. My wife and I shared the full stack pancakes, and I had the breakfast burrito while she had the chicken waffles (plenty of leftovers). The star of the show were the pancakes. Now I've had a ton of pancakes in my day and make pancakes every single weekend but these were the best pancakes that I've ever had (on the record). I will be going back to this location every time I come back to Pennsylvania.

We went on a Monday around 12pm. It was busy, but we were seated right away. Our waiter (Zacharius) was very nice. He helped my daughter decided between sweet and savory. She decided on Chicken and Biscuits (savory). Little did we know, it was a new item on their menu. It took a little longer to prepare. She didn't mind the wait if it was going to be good. Unfortunately it wasn't as good as anticipated. She said it tasted ok but the chicken was overcooked and the gravy was too thick. She let them know, and they seemed glad for the advice. The waiter said he would let the chef know so he could improve it. I decided on the Brioche French toast w/ strawberries. A side of scrapple and coffee. The French toast just tasted like toasted brioche bread (unfortunately). The syrup did the heavy lifting along with the strawberries to make it good. My advice would be to dip it in the batter (if there was any) longer to give it more flavor. I will not get that again! The coffee was pretty good. I also ordered a side of scrapple. Not telling my age......but I've been around for a while! Never in my life have I ever seen scrapple stand up (see photo). It was hard! Crispy like a potato chip! I was surprised that they had the nerve to serve it to me! I did break a piece off, because I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Then I sent it back! I rarely send food back, but this was unexceptable. I must say they soon came back with some properly cooked scrapple. It tasted fine! Lastly, they have metal chairs. The chairs are very uncomfortable. Not sure if this is so you don't stay too long or not, but if that's the strategy....it works! I really don't like to give bad reviews. I try my best to find the positive if I can. Unfortunately this wasn't a very good first vist to Sabrina's for me, but they're staff was very nice and pleasant. The atmosphere and decor (except the hard chairs) was nice as well! That's why they get 2 stars. I will try another location sometime in the future and definitely order something else.
