First time was great! Great food and awesome server. A month later it was completely changed. We had dinner and i ordered steak fries medium rare. It came out well done and was missing some of the things from the menu. My wife's burger was the same way over done and not what was on the menu. The server was not pleasant. One more thing we originally booked for two but a few days later we tried to change to four but we're told it was not possible. When we had dinner more than half the tables were empty and remained that way the entire time. Unless there is a radical change I will not return. Honestly this place was such a let down. The outdoor area is super cute and the place was very busy on a Friday, not sure why though. We got mocktails that our server recommended and they were pretty but lacked flavor. I got a bruschetta peach flatbread, there was nothing special about it, the peach and ricotta combination was summery but the assembly was messed and the flatbread was frankly burnt, and not just the edges. I also got fries which were perfectly fine but the sauce and so was the aioli the offering of the aioli though was no where enough for the amount of fries. So i came here for lunch. This place has great drinks, but the menu needs some work, as does the service. The menu is filled with bready items, the only main that isn't loaded with carbs is the steak and asparagus and even that came with fries. There are only 3 salad options, so if you are trying to eat healthier and watch your carb intake this is not the place for you. I wished there were more options for the main dishes. If I wasn't so hungry at the time I would have gone elsewhere. My server was a girl with long dark hair and she was very nonchalant, and kind of awkward. My steak came out well done and i asked for medium. So i had to wait while my friend ate for a new steak, which didn't feel worth the money, as we got 3 pieces of asparagus, and the fries we got must have been from the bottom of the pot because they were oily and over-fried. Went for dinner on Sunday evening. Sat on the deck under the pergola. What a spot! They've done an awesome job with the decor. Couldn't say enough about Chef Andrew and the kitchen crew. My Swordfish was cooked to perfection and not dried out from sitting under the heat lamps. My wife's Fried Chicken Sandwich was more than fulfilling and almost needed to be eaten with a knife and fork. All portions were just right. Enough to be full, but easy to eat the entire plateful. We got both of the desserts on the menu and again were very impressed with them both. Everything we ate was bangin!!! The service staff was attentive enough, but not obnoxious. This place is so cute and has a ton of potential, but I don't see myself coming back just because of how astronomically long it takes to get everything, even water. Also, our own waitress took back our waters twice without us saying anything because there was something (fruit bits? Seeds?) floating in the glasses. When she brought us two cups she thought were suitable, my husband's still had something weird floating in it. She came back and declared she cleaned out the ice and started over. What? Whatever that means, it sounds kind of gross. That was fine, but our biscuit appetizer was cold and dry. We waited a really long time for drinks--way too long. We ordered them first. Then our entrees were never put in. The waitress was very apologetic and comped the drinks, but when the cheese plate rushed out I got the impression that it wasn't put together correctly. I've had a million cheese plates in my life and not one of them has come out with fresh, cold, untoasted white bread. Like grocery store Acme white bread. That was odd. The food was fine, just not worth the wait. I would have been more forgiving but the place was half full at most with a lot of staff. I could not figure out what was going on. Finally, I ordered dessert and the waitress forgot to put in my drink AGAIN. This is after she repeated it back to me. I didn't even correct her that time, I just paid and left. We had a great dinner at Lola's Garden. The flights were tasty. Crab dip was delicious and a definite favorite. The cheese- fruit tray was plentiful and yummy. The burgers never disappoint. Our waitress, Jo, was awesome- attentive, professional, and followed all safety protocols. We were very impressed with how the manager came over to check that everything was to our Satisfaction. Food is fine but nothing special; lots of uninspired cafe items that are acceptable but overpriced (which makes them right at home in Suburban Square). Drinks are good but (like everything else there) overpriced. They have a VERY limited food menu but a fairly extensive drinks / wine menu. The atmosphere is pleasant with lots of outdoor seating The service is poor to acceptable, depending on when you go and what server you end up with. Horrible experience and won't be back. Came with a large group of 22 year olds to celebrate our friends 22nd birthday. Immediately was met with concern regarding our IDs and the expiration dates. This led to another manager collecting all IDs, scanning them and declaring half to be fake without asking for alternate forms of identification prior. I entirely understand the hesitation towards IDs due to being near a college campus - but there's a way to exercise caution effectively and with respect, and everyone from waiters to management lacked that treatment. This restaurant deserves zero stars in my opinion. We made reservations and been very patient from the beginning. It took them more 15min to gives us a table. Which even then we didn't make a fuss about. The waitress which we've spoken to very kindly kept going back and forth without taking our order. Like if you aren't ready please come back when you are. Moving forward, the whole staff in that restaurant was disrespectful and ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTINGLY RUDE. I cannot fathom how they even have a job serving people with that attitude. Went here for the first time with my mom and my sister. It was Sunday so we just had the brunch menu. The atmosphere was lovely and even though the food opinions were limited it all seemed tasty. Our drinks were great and our appetizer came out in like two minutes (we just got the fries with aioli but it was still nice.) Things went south after our entrees came out. I paid $10 for four pieces of shrimp added to my meal. My mom was supposed to have goat cheese on her sandwich but had less than a teaspoon on it. It was also missing the olive tapenade. Had brunch at Lola's Garden last weekend. The outdoor seating area was beautiful - ambiance was terrific. Having said that, the service, even after the lunch rush, was quite poor. I had to flag down our waitress/staff several times, as they would just disappear. Small things, like iced tea coming with almost no ice and no straws were real unforced errors. As for the food, it was mediocre and that's being somewhat charitable. Salmon omlette was cold and was more like a burrito. Potatoes seved with several dishes were in desperate need of salt. The burger was well cooked but couldn't make my 10 year old happy - not a tall order. And on and on. I am sad to say that the managerial staff is the reason that I will not be coming back to Lolas Garden. I experienced a number of issues during my time dining today, and all problems could have been simply solved had the manager been understanding and sympathetic. He treated me and my party as if we were inhuman. Not only did he scoff and laugh sarcastically at us during conversation, he also made it abundantly clear that he would rather us not dine at all. Had he just been unfriendly, we would've stayed to finish our meal. However, he made us feel uncomfortable being in his presence because of his sheer distaste toward us, and as a result we actually decided to leave the establishment before finishing. We went here for date night. Absolutely loved their outdoor patio that is heated. The service was good. Our waitress checked on us a few times but not too much. The food was ok-the taste was more one-dimensional and not complex. It was either too salty, sweet, or bland. We started with the potato latkes with smoked salmon. The latkes was a little soft from soaking up the oil. The saucy was bland so the most flavorful part was the smoked salmon. The polenta fries was probably the best app. The wedge salad was disappointing. The tomatoes were too ripe with wrinkled skin. The dressing was overwhelming. Our entree were the duck confit and burger. The burger was probably the best thing. The duck was decent. The sauce tasted very salty. It was actually the perfect tipping sauce for the fries that came with the burger. The duck was good although I wish the skin was actually crispy. We shared chocolate mousse for dessert which was recommended by our waitress. Again-like other dishes. It was just one dimensional-too sweet. Our drinks were good. I had the brisket skillet, which tasted bland. Salt and pepper helped, but not enough. Generally, the staff seemed disinterested, moving slowly. They must have given half his serving to someone else because he got 5 small slices of steak and mostly fries. He asked for mid rare it came out well done. The garlic aioli, which came with the fries, was not completely emulsified so it tasted like egg and was void of garlic. I ordered the chicken breast with mixed vegetables. I think they must have been out of salt because my dish had no seasoning. My entree was supposed to come with veggies and a salad. Instead, I got a salad with grilled 4 grilled mushrooms and three carrots. The whole thing was a hot flamming mess. Also, they served me a quarter chicken but didn't give me a knife to cut it. One of our party had the grilled chicken sandwich which was crusted with what seemed to be thick cereal and deep fried until inedible. The beet sala had four tiny pieces of red beets. This is a fine restaurant, but not a good choice for me or other vegans. After looking over the menu on Yelp, my wife and I decided to give it a try since they offer an Impossible Burger on their menu. Although Impossible Burgers are vegan, the menu lists this option as vegetarian, but not vegan. I assumed that, like most restaurants, they would be able to make some simple modifications to make it vegan--such as by leaving off the cheese (or substituting a vegan cheese) and using a vegan bread instead of the seeded milk bun. Turns out they offer no vegan substitutes. It's too bad, because it would be easy for them to keep a few vegan buns in the freezer. They also offer a vegetarian pasta dish using the Impossible Burger vegan meat. But again, they offer no way to make the dish vegan. Another dish they could make vegan, but don't, is their grilled portobello on a baguette. They have no vegan cheese to substitute. Nor do they have vegan baguettes. They do make accommodations on some dishes. For example, the beet salad can be made vegan by leaving off the cheese. The french fries can be made vegan by leaving off the aioli. The one dish that is listed as vegan is their chickpea polenta fries. read more

Very cute! Good service. The food from the flatbread to the burger to the cod was delicious. Let me tell you about the fries though....10/10. I microwaved them when I got home later tonight and we all know microwaved French fries are trash and get soggy. Not these ones!! Still as crispy as they were at the restaurant.
