    Eggs Benedict
    Ashley J.

I was visiting Seattle over a holiday weekend, and we stopped by Lola for brunch. Most restaurants in the area were closed for the holiday, so we didn't have any high expectations, but we were very pleasantly surprised that this ended up being one of our favorite meals on our trip. I made a brunch reservation the night before and there were plenty of open time slots. It was a little busy but there were a couple of tables open. The service was very fast despite the holiday. We ordered the Lola breakfast and the eggs Benedict. The crispy potatoes that came with both meals were really good. The eggs were very fluffy and the sauce on the benedict was flavorful and lemony. I'd definitely come back here for brunch next time I'm in Seattle.

Visited with a friend who made a brief trip to Seattle. We came for brunch on a weekend and made a reservation, so there was no wait but it was definitely crowded. I would definitely suggest making a reservation ahead of time if you can! For the food, I really liked the hash brown/falafel hybrid--super unique and really delicious! Their beignets were also nice and fluffy and the toast was decent as well. However, I wasn't a big fan of their scrambled eggs. Overall it was a solid choice for brunch, I'd order something different for my main dish though!

Lars is a gem! Lola's is a great breakfast spot with delicious bites and cocktails. Every plate came out at the same time piping hot and full of flavor.

If I could leave 10 stars I would. Everyone was incredibly friendly, the food was phenomenal, and I highly recommend the coconut cake. Definitely worth a visit!

Coming off the plane, this was a great place to land (pun intended). Where else can you find octopus hash? The salmon kabob was cooked perfectly.

Lola, a Tom Douglas restaurant is amazing. I have not been to this place for a long time. I'm glad I did tonight. I am so glad it has continued to have great food and service. Ambiance is awesome! Lots of people so make your reservations like us. We ordered a shared appetizer - pita bread and all 6 kinds of toppings hummus, tzatziki, and all they offer. Each one of us had an entree ranging from lamb burger, chicken, mushroom and lamb kebabs - all so good. It was so tender and tasty. Enough to fill us. Love it! So good! Kebabs were served on a hot plate. Nice presentation. Service was outstanding. Good attentive service .

Lola is a cute corner spot in the downtown area. I came in on an early weekday morning before a conference to grab the pancakes and maple sausage that I'd heard about so much. The service was kind and attentive - especially when they confirmed that I could get a single pancake to complement my breakfast. The pancake was the star! I recommend this place for a great breakfast!

Service was friendly and there was plenty of seating inside with mood lighting. No reservations needed as we just walked in on a weekday around 7:30 pm. The server came up to greet us and make suggestions. We tried their grape leaves rice rolls, Bean Shakshuka, and pita bread dip with olive and figs. Everything was priced quite high and did not really hit the spot for me. I wasn't a big fan of the grape leaves rice rolls. Their pita bread with fig and olive dip was recommended by the server and was told you wouldn't taste the olive but olives were the only thing you could taste..and I am not a fan of olives :( The bean Shakshuka was probably the best. It came with 2 slices of toasted bread, a warm slightly mild tomato base, cheese, and beans. Pretty good! I also don't know why there is a door directly inside the hotel that leads to this restaurant inside, but they have a signage to go around .. meaning to go outside in the COLD OR SNOW (yes it was snowing at midnight) to enter the restaurant from their front door. If I'm staying at this hotel, it would be nice to have direct access to the restaurant inside. Would come back if I'm staying at the Andra again, but would probably order their breakfast menu instead.

A few friends and I went out to Lola on a Saturday night. We made a reservation, which probably wasn't strictly needed with our arrival around 6 PM, but the restaurant was pretty full by the time we left. The overall vibe of the restaurant is great - very New York with just one long sitting area with the kitchen at the back basically. Our booth had a nice view of Virginia street. The food was good - the scallops and saganaki particularly stood out. My only complaint was the prices. We opted for skewers, but were quickly told that a side would be needed in order to feel full. While the Greek spaghetti was good, it was pretty basic for a $17 price tag, combined with a $21 cheese and fig fig skewer that only had a 6 or so pieces each of fig and cheese. Beer is also a little expensive for the area at $9 a pint. Overall nice and near a major bus arterial, but would likely only come back with out of town guests if showing them around downtown Seattle and we needed a fancy and conveniently located restaurant.

Good breakfast and brunch pass through, perfect for corporate stays nearby swinging over from hotels. Nice mixes and overall portions for singular or very shareable time in the space. A simple diner by feel, but the taste steps above any basic diner recipes and does well at what it aims for. Overall a worthwhile brunch for a small group. The space is small enough that I would generally want to avoid it when very crowded.

A booked reservation made for quick seating. The traditional breakfast is what I ordered and thought it would be good. It was indeed a great breakfast. The thick cut slices of bacon and the Greek fried smashed potatoes were mouth watering. Every bite of the potatoes were crunchy and perfectly crisp. The blueberry compote jelly with the sourdough bread was a great sweet ending to the savory breakfast.

My wife and I stopped in looking for a place for breakfast and they gave 4 stars. I give them 3 for one reason, they advertise in there menu fresh local strawberries. If these are fresh strawberries, well not good. Service was great and the restaurant looks inviting.

Went here for Valentine's Day dinner and it was quite lovely! The wine was excellent--we got the Orcas Project Sangiovese and the Sellas Agiorgitiko. For dinner, we had one of the Valentine's Day specials, Imam Byaldi, which was a very tasty eggplant dish. We also got spanakopita, which I was delighted to find out was vegan. It was pretty good, especially for a vegan version. The star of the show was truly the dessert. We got the doughnuts and the hazelnut malted milk cremeaux. Both of them were incredible! It was busy for the holiday but service was still excellent. I dropped my napkin and one of the employees who was bussing tables went above and beyond to pick it up and get me a new one before I even noticed I dropped it! My only complaint is that the plates, table, and glassware all needed to be scrubbed a little more. Overall great experience and good food! I'd like to come back and try brunch sometime.

The food wasn't much of a Greek or Mediterranean. The service was mid. Ambience was ok.

Do they need reservations for brunch?

Preferably to be safe. They're really popular over the weekend!

Can you make a vegan eggs Benedict? Can you replace the egg yolks with silken tofu and the butter with something like Earth Balance to make it ethical? You could also replace the poached eggs with Just Egg or another easy to find and cheap egg.

Hi we are unable to make a vegan benedict as hollandaise is made using butter and eggs. We can make you poached eggs with sautéed greens on an English muffin if that would work .…

    Are you open today?

Yes, they just reopened on Oct. 28!

Is there dairy in the mini doughnuts/beignets?

Hi there Amber- yes there is milk in the LOLA doughnuts and also they are served with house made jam and vanilla mascarpone.…

    Is 18% service fee mandatory?

It was on our bill. I usually tip 20% so our server lost out a bit. But yes, it appears to be mandatory based on my experience.

    Any vegetarian options?

Yes, they can customize anything on the menu into a vegetarian meal.

If you eat at Lola, do they validate parking?

    No.

Is there a park for cars?

No, but there's plenty of parking lots all around Lola. I usually park a couple blocks down.

Is there anyone to change the salmon in the eggs Benedict for any other type of meat?

You can definitely ask to change the meat in the eggs bene! They are very accommodating!

Do you offer any gluten free options?

    7am to 3pm Brunch ends at 3pm

From what time to time is lola serving brunch?

6am during the week and 7am on the weekend not sure what time it ends

When my food came out, I was pleasantly surprise that my salad came with an order or fries as well and the portions of my meal was gigantic. Everything was made fresh to order and the food was pretty tasty. The chicken was fat and juicy and and they didn't skimp out at all. The fries was a little on the salty side but it was still good. I manage to eat the entire thing but ended up not being able to eat anything else the whole day. Service was standard. So you can imagine how pleased I was that Athena's was at the event. But the food was very disappointing and not something I would eat again. I ordered the Greek Salad with gyro meat, which cost me over $12 with tip. Once I got my salad it didn't look appetizing. I was surprised that the salad is made up of iceberg lettuce versus romaine, which I normally find with Greek salads. And since it came with cabbage and carrots I can only assume that the lettuce came from a mixed bag. That wouldn't be so much of an issue had some lettuce not been wilted or turning brown. Not amused. But what may be worse was the overcooked and heavily salted gyro meat. Not only that, but the gyro meat was very thin, so I do not think it was a rotisserie cook and shaved off like how gyro meat is normally made. I cannot believe I wasted $12 on this. I will not be eating from Athena's again.
