I LOVE this place. The food is fresh, seasonal, and we'll thought out. The Mediterranean style food always please from the kabobs to the hand crafted dips and pita. They even provided crudite for gluten free goers. We brought a special wine to enjoy before a show at the Moore theater. The corkage fee is $25, which is reasonable. The prices for what you get in quality and quantity are fair. We had exceptional service and the view to kitchen was fantastic. The restaurant has a bistro vibe and feels very cozy with coat hooks on each booth. I will be coming back again for brunch and dinner when I am in Seattle. read more

After our Alaskan cruise last fall, we spent a day roaming around Seattle before heading home. We asked our uber driver about good eats & he highly recommended Lola - a modern, Greek-influenced restaurant featuring local ingredients. We decided to treat ourselves & we were very happy that we did. Hubby started with a dirty vodka martini with feta stuffed olives - a switch from his usual blue cheese stuffed olives & a nod to the Greek cuisine of the restaurant. I opted for the Stranger Than Fig-tion - bourbon, averna amaro, fig syrup, orange bitters. A well balanced strong cocktail that was perfect for sipping. Spreads are highlighted on the Lola dinner menu: there are six delicious options. If we were with a larger group, I would have ordered the entire selection. Since it was just the two of us & we couldn't really schlep leftovers to our hotel, we ordered the cauliflower-anchovy spread with freshly griddled pita. Fresh & savory with a bit of crunch from the pita. We shared a multi-colored beet salad over arugula dotted with fresh mozzarella & topped with a sprinkle of dill. It was both beautiful to look at & delicious. We both loved this salad! I wanted to try one of their kebob options - left to my own devices, I would have selected the lamb but our server highly recommended the Bristol Bay sockeye salmon, locally caught. Three skewers of this succulent fish were served on a sizzling skillet with onions & ouzo with an herb-caper relish. Everything about this dish was perfection! I could taste the ouzo, the salmon was cooked perfectly & the relish added a fresh savory note. Hubby went with the fish special: sea bass over a bed of stewed black beans & topped with a fennel, parsley & olives salad & a drizzle of good Greek olive oil. Only one word could describe this dish: decadent. The fish was meaty with a hint of sweetness which paired well with the earthiness of the beans. The salad topper added an unexpected freshness. We were too full for dessert but we ogled the order of made-to-order doughnuts with Dahlia Bakery jam & vanilla mascarpone. A beautiful presentation & smelled delicious. Truly a fabulous dinner. Lola also served breakfast/brunch. Highly recommend making a reservation because it is busy pretty much all day & all night. Lola is definitely a dining destination in Seattle! read more

My hotel suggested Lola for breakfast. We came in and were sat super quick. Having no idea about the menu, I was excited to se shakshuka. I immediately ordered. It came out hot with a side of the tastiest sourdough. It was delicious. My boyfriend had the Greek scramble. He said it was good. He too loved the sourdough. Servers were friendly and quick. I'd highly suggest, nice comfy spot. read more

Excellent food and service. The server was friendly, sharp and attentive. The food was super flavorful, hot and exceeded our expectations. The kitchen had done a fantastic job creating delicious dishes. We had the full assortment of mezze spreads, the delicata squash, the mushroom skewers and the ravioli. It's absolutely all it's cracked up to be, with a few caveats. Flavors were perfection on the beet salad, half chicken, and roasted delicata squash (which had this delish Parmesan sauce) . Caveats being that the half chicken was small! Must have been one tiny chicken. And believe it or not the Greek salad at this acclaimed Greek restaurant was mid. Would return, though. I love me a veggie-forward restaurant. read more

Sadly, I had forgotten that I've tried Lola before! It's a great restaurant with a warm vibe. It is really busy, but the service is attentive. The server disappeared a couple times but that gave our group ample time to soak up the energy of the place and catch up with each other, and this was only after times where they had already tried to take our order promptly. I tried some Kabobs and the beet salad. Everything was good, though I expected the Kabobs to be a bit more flavorful. What really caught my attention, though, were a couple dishes other people ordered! The seafood tangine and the shakshuka looked incredible! I want to come back and try both. I liked the mocktail option that I chose, and because it came in a can, i was able to tell that it happened to be low in calories too. Their cocktail menu looked nice, and maybe next time I'll imbibe. The prices, while slightly high, were more reasonable than I expected. A great place for dates, groups, or even catching up with a buddy at the bar. I'm excited to come back and try more of the menu! read more

Got the lamb kebab plate which came with three skewers, tzatziki, pita and a choice of Greek salad and/or garlic smashed potatoes (we got both). Every single part of the plate was so good! The lamb was well cooked and the sauce added a great flavor that paired really well with the tzatziki. The salad was super fresh with mint and feta and the smashed potatoes were good too. The atmosphere was lively as we came during Sunday brunch and the service was great. Our server was attentive, checked in periodically and got us extra tzatziki! Everyone was also very friendly, including the host and all the servers we interacted with Will definitely be back to try more of the dips and plates and maybe even some of their brunch menu items! read more

Delicious brunch in a beautiful space in Downtown Seattle. We had a spread including some lamb skewers, the Greek scramble, their signature donuts, and a few sides. Everything here is remarkably fresh, flavorful, and healthy feeling. Don't miss the hummus and other dips, they're definitely worth ordering at least one as a side! A couple things holding it back from a a full five stars: it feels unlikely that the "made-to-order" donuts are as described. They're recently made for sure, but anyone who's tried the donuts at Pike Place knows these aren't fresh out of the fryer. The vanilla spread that comes with them though, is 10/10. In a similar vain, temperature control is a bit of an issue with skewers. They arrived lukewarm at best, which was unfortunate for the last (still tasty) bites. Overall 4.5/5! read more

Swung by Lola for their special restaurant week lamb offerings - some seemed to be limited items and others were discounted about 7 bucks from the regular price. Overall, I'd say everything was delicious and perfectly cooked, but we warned, this place is EXPENSIVE. I would be prepared to easily drop 50 bucks per person. For two people, we ordered spread with pita, two plates, and fries and were still hungry after dusting the items. They were quite busy even on a Wednesday, but it also seemed like there was a conference in town. Smoky Eggplant Spread (2.75/5): Pita was really not my favorite, extremely average. The eggplant spread was decent, but not standout. Can't help but compare this to Homer's spreads, which unfortunately blow this out of the water. Braised Lamb Shank Tagine (4/5): Lamb shank was cooked perfectly, super tender and fall off the bone. Unfortunately, the cous cous was sitting in a sauce with kinda an odd flavor that I couldn't place and wasn't my favorite. Lamb Flatbread (4.25/5): I actually though this was delicious, but be warned, for 20 bucks the portion size is pretty small. The pine nuts are a super nice touch Rosemary Fries (4/5): Really enjoyed the two dipping sauces they provided, they had a super fun, bright play on harissa ketchup and their aioli had a strong freshness that really cut through. Fries themselves were right on the cusp of being a bit burnt, but soggy fries are the bane of my existence so I didn't mind too much. Triple Coconut Cream Pie (4.5/5): I thought they absolutely smashed this and while it's pricey, I would probably try to share this. Super luscious cream with fresh coconut and super flaky, buttery crust - this is a must try. Made to Order Donuts (4.25/5): Fresh donuts with mascarpone and berries, what's not to love? My best friend and I decided to take a quick girls' trip to Seattle. Being in charge of finding a brunch spot, Yelp led me to choose Lola! I made reservations for a Sunday brunch and it was the best way to start our day. We checked in and were seated inside. The restaurant is loud, dim, and bustling. The layout is somewhat narrow and reminded us of Cheesecake Factory lol. Service by all who helped us was friendly and speedy! Food came out fast and water bottles were refilled. A great spot for casual dining! My best friend and I shared the Octopus Hash, Bristol Bay Sockeye Salmon Kebabs, and Made to Order Doughnuts. The seafood scene in Seattle is superb, I love octopus and have never seen such a thing offered. The octopus was tender and came with served so pieces. The hash had a nice variety of savory deliciousness. Wish there was more egg or a bigger egg though! The salmon kebab was delightful--the salmon was well-cooked and moist. The sauce that came with it was tasty and everything was well seasoned. We also requested half salad and half potatoes. We were overjoyed with ending our meal with the donuts. Truly, warm pillowy doughs of goodness. The jam and mascarpone were out of this world! We'll be dreaming of this. If you like the Mediterranean and are living or visiting Seattle, Lola is a must-try! Had brunch here after a 5k walk and while being hungry was a factor we simply ordered and ate a lot of great items. Started at the bar with blackberry lemonade and Olive and fig Lola spreads. The drinks were tasty and the spread didn't have the flavor we both thought it would be a mix of savory and sweet but the sweet won. We then had the dolmades which were delicious and the sauce to dip was creamy and perfect. We ordered some Coffee which was one of the best I've had at a restaurant. Then we ordered lunch. I had French toast with lemon curd, frosted almonds and berries and maple Syrup. Wow so good the toast was crisp outside and fluffy inside. The curd was a perfect touch. My friend had the Sweet Pepper Shakshuka and she loved it. Baked eggs with red peppers, tomato and cilantro. Eggs perfectly cooked and toast to dip into the sauce. I would say it's ok, 3.5 stars. The food is good, but not great. I enjoyed my dinner, but it wasn't anything to call home about. I think what it comes down to is that you're mostly paying for the location here, so set expectations accordingly. The day I went, it was pretty busy because a big work group showed up without a reservation. The wait staff did a great job managing everything despite the unanticipated chaos. Made an appt to check this famous breakfast spot in Seattle- thankfully it was not too busy and we were seated right away. We got coffee (bottomless) and got 3 different breakfast menus to share (see photos). My favorite was eggs benedict but pancakes were fluffy/tasty as well. The potatos on the side was great. Went in on a weekend with a bunch of friends and tried a variety of different things on their menu. We got the mezze platter, chicken kebab, salmon kebab, roast chicken, mashed potatoes and summer squash. Also tried their stranger than figtion bourbon cocktail and their famous made to order doughnuts. My favorites were the dips that came with the mezze platter and the salmon kebab. I wish they would add a side of rice to their mains. The pita bread was a bit hard but was a welcome addition to the meal. Service was great and the ambiance was nice too, although a bit noisy. read more

Despite the high reviews and blog posts raving about this restaurant, my friends and I thought our meal here was average. the good: - service was fine as was the ambiance - Dolmades were very tasty as was the fresh pita - enjoyed the roasted mushrooms and duroc pork kebabs the meh: (both entrees) - disappointed with the hangar steak. thought it was rather bland. - the seafood tagine had perfectly cooked scallops but I had to spit out the un-fresh / bad mussel which were so bad I couldn't eat anymore And then water from the AC dripped on my husband. read more

Top notch service from our waiter, who (according to the hot goss) was snatched from another restaurant down the way. We sat at the front of the bar in the window seat with no reservation. Saw some families and kids in the main seating area -acceptable for all! Brutalists like us, Sesame Street viewers like them. Grand Greek spot near downtown Seattle. It's a very popular place for brunch on the weekends, but during the week, there was no wait at all or breakfast. You can set reservations on their website though through Open Table. We had to get the Octopus Hash which was so good! I made a reservation for brunch at Lola and arrived on time for my reservation. However, the table wasn't ready. The host told me that they were still waiting for the party who had my table before me to finish up and leave and I'd need to wait. I get it. Sometimes people linger longer than expected. But there was availability at the bar, so I opted to sit there instead of waiting. The espresso martini is on nitro. The flavor was really intense. For brunch I ordered French Toast. It came out within 5 minutes, which seemed very fast, especially since others at the bar ordered before me and waited at least 15 minutes more than I did to get their meals. I'm still not sure how I got my meal so quickly, but I guess I shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth. A side of bacon is $10, which seems too pricey; however, it is 5 slices of bacon. I kind of wish they did 2 or 3 slices for half that price, because that's really all I wanted (and needed). The bacon is thick cut, but not as crispy and I'd prefer. Overall, great option for brunch, just be prepared to wait and bring a friend or two to share sides with. read more

Delicious Greek food! We ordered the Lola spread for apps - highly recommend! An amazing mezza spread. We also got the fried squid and the batter was perfection. I ordered the seafood tagine and it was very flavorful. Plenty of clams and mussels and 2 scallops. Service was very attentive and helpful. The space is busy but it was a fun ambiance. I don't like giving out bad reviews but wasn't a huge fan of this place, would not go back or recommend. To preface however: my friends and I went for dinner and it looks like their brunch is more popular. I love greek food and don't mind paying more for nicer meals but I felt like the prices were inconsistent and inflated here. The lamb burger is around $25 and they ask what cheese you want - both people in my party chose one of the options which was a $2 upgrade which they didn't inform them of. The burger was standard, but at least it was decently sized and the best thing with it was the fries and tzatziki. The kebabs start at around $21 and they don't indicate that they are so small - 3 little sticks for the chicken skewer. My friend got an appetizer that was very small of the grape leaves which was tasty but not worth $16. This is definitely a pricey place that didn't make our party feel like we got our money's worth or justify spending more to try more dishes. Service was average, it was nice that they had lots of options for splitting checks. It was loud the whole time we were in there, pretty crowded and a little hard to hear each other, plus pretty dark. Overall would just go to Tanoor for good kebabs (even though slightly different cuisine) or Sahara Mediterranean for value and taste. read more

Came in for lunch on a weekday. The bartender was really friendly and when I ordered an espresso martini, offered to make me one from scratch or serve me one they had premade from a tap. I had the one that was premade and it was actually really good! I also had a lamb burger which was cooked perfectly. To start, I had one of the dips with pita. It was a feta mixed dip and it was DELICIOUS. I highly recommend ordering it. The restaurant is a decent size and I sat at the bar. The vibe was pretty chill but with some good energy with people coming in and out. read more

We had a great experience. I believe our waiter was named Jason. The food was great and located adjacent to our hotel Ayres. What's great on a Friday night was putting our names down and going back in our room upstairs to wait the 20-30 minutes until our table was ready. My daughter didn't like the lamb burger because she was probably thinking it would taste the same as a cow. My other child thought the smashed potatoes would taste like the ones she had in Paris and wasn't obviously the same. My wife enjoyed Jackie's Greek Salad and Chicken kabobs. This spot really checked all the boxes for me. The cocktails were not only well-balanced, but crafted with just the right mix of creativity and flavor. We tried the West of Eden and the Stranger Than Fig-tion and both had that wow-factor taste. The food held its own right alongside the drinks. The hanger steak was a standout for me, with a smoky flavor that elevated it to more than just being another cut of beef on a plate. The halibut was equally good, and what sealed it for me was the hollandaise. It wasn't your standard butter-heavy version. This one had a lighter, more unique twist using egg whites. Ambience wise, it's casual but in that intentional, comfortable way that works whether you're planning a date night or catching up with a group of friends. Nothing feels stuffy here. You can settle in, enjoy yourself, and still feel like you're treating yourself to something a little special. Service tied everything together. The staff were attentive without hovering and friendly without being scripted and our server was very knowledgeable of the menu to help answer our questions. Got here around 11:30am on a Thursday without a reservation. Tables were full, but there were open seats in the bar area. Service was good and attentive. The breakfast menu is available until 1:00pm, which wasn't clear on the menu. I got the Lola Breakfast - two eggs, smashed potatoes, choice of sausage or bacon. Eggs were cooked over-easy as ordered. Bacon was thick and chewy - taste is decent but I prefer crispy. The smashed potatoes were burnt / over-baked. Unfortunately, this meal was underwhelming and not worth the $25. read more

Lola is a staple - a restaurant that typically makes list after list of "must dine" restaurants as it should. Lola is great - I came here with my mother and cousin as they were visiting and they loved it here. The restaurant became a bit loud to easily hear my mother across the table and our waitress spoke very quietly, but those were the only two downsides. I ordered the shakshuka. I never had this dish before which is basically eggs poached in a tomato sauce with a bunch of other fresh ingredients such as sweet peppers. It looks like it wouldn't be filling, but found that it seemed endless. I swear I ate it with relish but found myself full before a sizable dent could be made. Everything was very good, very tasty. We were glad we made reservations as nearly all the tables were full when we arrived. Our server was kind and the food was delivered to our table fairly quickly despite the crowds. The food was served hot and the roasted potatoes were so crunchy. The eggs Benedict were delicious and larger portioned than a lot of restaurants in the area which was refreshing. Tea and coffee were both served in pots which they left at our table and were also generous with. The whole space is lit up by the big windows and the tall ceilings help the space feel bigger. Not a great spot if you have a wheelchair, walker or other assistance device because there's not a lot of additional space and the walk ways between the tables is quite narrow. read more

Saw Giada de Laurentis ate their made to order Doughnuts in food network show. So I gotta try this. It's in downtown Seattle, Belltown, by Warwick Hotel. Parking: pay street parking, or you can pay park in hotel parking or any surrounding area. We ate fast, so we only pay $2 for street parking. We arrived at 10ish for breakfast. The place is half full. We seated right away. They have breakfast menu from 7am-1pm, lunch from 11am. She finished her call and check me in. Really? TD's Customer service quality? Highlight 2 Ordered donut with coffee to start Donuts arrived but no coffee... I requested for my coffee. I waited and waited and had to follow up again... come on Highlight 3 Ordered brunch Finished donuts with small plates Waitress arrived with our orders in her hands... she paused and looked at our table... the used small plates are in front of us. Greek brunch? I have never had that before so of course I had to try on my Seattle trip! I had made reservations prior to save time and I was seated immediately when I arrived. The restaurant is really big and it was already half filled at 10:30 am. While more people kept coming in, the louder it got inside but it was still manageable where you could hear your own conversations at the table. I ordered their Shakshuka and it was magnificent omg my mouth melted as I took the first bite with their buttered toasted sourdough. The roasted tomatoes and spices in this dish was so addicting that I wanted to devour this entire plate. The portion was perfect for one person but honestly you can share it or do family style to try other things too. I was only able to finish half and togo the rest for a light snack later. Love this restaurant and I would recommend this to anyone visiting Seattle wanting a nice hearty breakfast! read more

I have 2 reviews in one but I'm going 5 stars because my brunch experience was so spectacular: GREAT AMAZING BRUNCH! I came for brunch with 3 friends on New Years Day (long time ago, I know). We sat at the bar and that is where it is at! The bartender was amazing (short dude, cannot remember his name). He was super attentive and multitasked with a vengeance. Also did not give us too much grief for the insane amount of food we ordered. The food was amazing. We actually had 4 entrees between the 3 of us AND the donuts AND the coconut cream pie. We had a standard eggs and sausage, eggs benedict and the pancakes (CREME FRAICHE), and finally: the Chicken Kebabs entree - WINNER! I came here once for dinner mid January and sat near the back in a booth and the service was so horrendous we almost left. I actually had to flag down a server to order my first drink - THIRTY MINUTES IN. He also tried to correct me when I ordered a Michter's Manhattan and tell me I was pronouncing it wrong. You're kidding right? Just bring me the drink man, doesn't matter who is wrong and who is right (I was right BTW), it's all about perception! It took us forever to get his attention every time we ordered something and he was kind of wandering around but he wouldn't make eye contact. Super frustrating. Well, well, well. Look who decided to serve up some "fancy" brunch. I'm talking about you, Lola. You know who you are - the one that charges twenty bucks for plain pancakes with a measly sauce cup of butter, jam, and maple syrup on the side. Oh, and let's not forget the lack of fruit. Apparently, adding some berries to the plate would break the bank, right? Now, don't get me wrong. I'm all for treating myself to a nice brunch once in a while, but this was just ridiculous. I could've made those pancakes at home and saved myself a small fortune. And don't even get me started on the "donuts." Let me tell you, folks, those were not donuts. They were six measly beignets for eleven bucks. I'm pretty sure I saw better deals at a carnival. To top it all off, this place is connected to the Hôtel Ändra Seattle MGallery Hotel Collection. I guess they figure that patrons without cars have no other choice, so they can charge whatever they want. I didn't stay at the hotel, but I came because of the high Yelp reviews. I took some leftovers home and ended up throwing it away because I didn't want to eat it again. The best part about the meals were the dips. Tiny portioned dips but good dips. Tzatziki, some garlic dip, and some feta cheese dip- I seriously don't remember what they are called but follow your server's recommendations and she will lead you to good places. On a side note, kudos to her again: I had told the server that I wanted a knife to cut a burger in half so my friend and I could share and she served the burger halves on two different dishes with no extra charge. I liked her. My friend ordered Washington Chicken, which was just plain old chicken on skewers. I ordered the lamb burger with chickpea fries. The lamb was dry. No sauce. Just buns, patty, and some greens. I ate it with the dips. Dips saved the day. Smashed potato - BE WARNED; THEY ARE OVERHYPED. THEY ARE LITERALLY JUST SQUISHED POTATOES. Nothing more, nothing less. We've taken multiple groups of friends from out of town to this restaurant because this is one of the Seattle's iconic restaurants and it's fairly kid friendly. We took friends visiting from NC to the restaurant because they specifically asked for it. Our one-year old daughter was a bit impatient at the beginning. I took her out so she wouldn't disturb other diners. Once the food was served, she was calm and enjoying her food. Half way through our meal, she was freaked out by one of their waiters, and started crying and screeching. While we're trying to calm her down in the next few minutes, the manager came to our table. Without asking what's going on, she told us a couple of tables complained and we could either bring her outside or to the lobby. The kid was frightened and tried to hide between us, while at the same time was asked to be removed from the dinning area. She got extremely unhappy in the lobby. At the end, we all left feeling unsatisfied with the dinner experience. This restaurant isn't as kid friendly as you think after all. read more

Blah. That pretty much sums up how I feel about Lola. After all the hype Tom Douglas gets, you would think that you could expect to at least be a little wowed by this establishment. I have been here twice now and must accept that that is just not going to happen at Lola. On both of my trips here I found the service lacking and the food to be way too expensive for what you actually get (the lamb is almost too gamey to eat, the dips come in a child sized bauble of a dish and they charge you $3.50 for one piece of pita bread! Overall, the food is uninspired and tiny sized). On my most recent experience, I was pretty outraged that the server totally ignored my party after she realized we were not going to order a large meal complete with cocktails (although everyone did order at least one thing). I went to LoLa twice so far. Both of them were breakfast.. I went there couple months ago and it was excellent. I was so impressed with their food (tom's big breakfast) the octopus tasted great and it was well balanced so... I was very excited to go there ago today. and it was awful. If I remember correctly the octopus was tender and fresh. today... no really. Chick pea, squash and octopus were burnt. NOT CARAMELIZED, it was burnt. tasted burnt and fishy.. octopus must be not fresh or bad. it was very fishy, I couldn't really eat even half of it.. If I remember correctly, it was served with bread last time, but not today. service was slow. and cappuccino was overly burnt (typical Startbucks) Garlic mashed potato was very good and that's the only reason I am giving two star instead of one. Worth signing up for Yelp to review Lola. As a travel nurse, I've been to many a city and many a breakfast joint, and Lola is right up there with the best of them. For being as busy as it always was -- stayed in Seattle 6 months, ate here half a dozen times, packed every time -- the staff was way more friendly than they could probably get away with being in Seattle. (Reminded me of some Tennessee hospitality. Maybe my personality rubbed off on them...?) Anyway, the food has a Mediterranean flair that just spoke to my taste buds in the most comforting way. Tom's Favorite Breakfast is a mix of flavors -- and ingredients: octopus for breakfast, anyone? -- that I'd never have dreamed of putting together, but dang does it work. I recently dined at Lola, a charming brunch spot in Seattle that serves delicious Greek food. While the service was a bit slow, the food made up for it. The standout of the meal was undoubtedly the donuts - they were absolutely YUM and a must-order. Light, fluffy, and coated with just the right amount of sugar, they were a delightful start to our brunch experience. For the main course, I opted for the chicken platter. The chicken was flavorful and cooked to perfection, not tough at all. The accompanying challa waffles were a hit as well - soft, delicious, and not overly sweet, which was a pleasant surprise. Lola Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with good food and exceptional service. I ordered the octopus hash, which was perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. My server, Colt T, provided exceptional service, making the meal even more enjoyable. The coffee, priced at $5, was great and made for a perfect end to the meal. The restaurant boasts a clean and inviting atmosphere, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. However, parking can be challenging as it is limited to paid street parking. I visited on a busy Tuesday, which made finding a spot even more difficult. Despite this minor inconvenience, the quality and taste of the food make Lola Restaurant worth the visit. OMG is the first thing that comes to mind for the food here. We started brunch with an "appy" of fresh donuts with vanilla mascarpone cream. I could have easily ate two dozen of these! Their homemade sausages were a delight as well as their smoked pork chops (more like a ham but still delicious). If you're into breakfast, you can also go for a side of pancakes with the aforementioned mascarpone cream :-) The lamb kebabs are done right as well as their shellfish tangine. Service was excellent. Our waitress, Lori, was probably one of the most upbeat and helpful servers I've encountered in a very long time. A big A+ for her! Overall, this will be one of my hangouts when I'm in the area. read more

I've never had anything other than breakfast here. And to be honest, we've mostly ordered three things -- Eggs Benedict, the House-Made Granola with Yogurt and Fruit, and the made to order, fresh doughnuts. All of our breakfast dishes, drinks (juice and bloody marys) have been consistently great. Even the house-made jam served with the fresh, piping hot doughnuts is excellent on its own. Service is generally good, though at times we've felt a little rushed; this is because they do brisk weekend breakfast business. So make reservations and expect a crowd if you're looking for a good breakfast spot on the weekend in downtown Seattle, but expect great food well worth any wait. read more

Has anyone ever asked you what would be you would want your last meal to be on earth? For me, it could well be Lola. The food is fantastic and the wine superb. I love family style resturants with ethnic cuisine. It is a great place to bring a large group. My favorites include the skewers, espcially, prawns and lamb. All of the dips, especially kalamata fig spread. The lamb dinner is phenomonal. Not only do I love dinner here, their breakfast is also great. The donuts that you dip in rasberry jam and cream are simply amazing. Tom Doughlas restaurants are all good, but Lola is my favorite. Thanks Tom for allowing us to eat so good in Seattle. read more

What can you say about a Tom Douglas restaurant ? Being a native Seattle , I love it. Every time we go to this place the food and service are always great and consistent which is something that most restaurants are not these days. Grandma Dots pasta- like my moms Lamb souvlaki-like sitting somewhere on one of the islands Pita - warm Lamb burger with chick pea fries - not enough words to describe the flavor. Breakfast is also another favorite in the city, they always have wonderful choices and again are consistent with their service and food. My boyfriend and I decided to check out Lola while we were in town, and we're glad we did! We arrived just as they opened in the late afternoon and were seated right away, which was a nice bonus. We ordered the chicken kebabs, and they were absolutely delicious, full of flavor and perfectly cooked. However, when I ordered mashed potatoes, I was expecting something more traditional, but what I received were more like lightly mashed potatoes, which wasn't quite what I had in mind. That being said, they were still tasty, just not what I anticipated. Overall, the food was great, and we'd definitely come back for those kebabs! read more

This place was great. We ordered a lamb burger which was amazing, juicy, filling, and delicious. I love lamb but the tzatziki sauce was such a nice addition to my meal. My husband had the kabobs and really enjoyed them as well. The staff was super polite and friendly and quick! We did have to wait for sometime to get seated but we didn't make the reservations either, so we will do that next time. The ambience was great. Really clean place where you can have a nice date night. The wine list was very good as well, lots of choices. Expensive but good. I have returned to Lola on all of my recent visits to Seattle. I love the food and the fact that they are open late. I was looking forward to returning on my most recent visit, but was disappointed to discover that the menu has become really expensive, when it used to be quite reasonable. The place is the same, the food is still good, the staff is wonderful, and even the cocktails were still reasonably priced - but OMG, the prices have really gone WAY up! I will never forget $21 for exactly two scallops. I like the small portions, but the prices should match. I'm sorry to have to drop Lola from my Seattle list. read more

I loved this restaurant. I don't go upscale often. I usually favor small thai, indian, and other ethnic restaurants. Once is a while we find ourselves at one of the large chain restaurants like Bonefish or Outback. I'm always disappointed at the upscale chains. High prices, nice atmosphere, and predictable food. Lola is unique. The prices are higher than the chains but the food is unique and exceptional. Unlike the chains, the prices are justified by the quality of the meal. I had a curried goat and an appetizer of Dolmades. Both were wonderful. For a special occassion I'd go here any time. read more

Absolutely wonderful service. We had breakfast here almost every day while we stayed in Seattle and our server Nick served us breakfast whenever we came in at the bar and so kind offered many different things that we can do around here. When we came in for nightcaps at the end of the day because our hotel was attached to the restaurant our bartender Erna was absolutely astounding and an angel. She even gave me a recipe, in-depth and and above and beyond on how to make Hungarian goulash, she was Hungarian. I cannot stress how amazing these two people were, and they made our trip so much more enjoyable. read more

Sure they are a great place for breakfast, but the Greek food here is also delightful. We stopped in for a late breakfast on a weekday and they were fairly empty, but by the time we left, they were packed, so get in early. Splitting the difference between breakfast and lunch, we ordered the famous donuts which came in a paper bag filled with sugar ready for shaking, and some kebabs. The donuts were brilliant and so fluffy and crispy. The kebabs showed off the Greek prowess and the meat was so incredibly tender. The staff was also very friendly and comped the donuts for us when they mixed up our bill. read more
