Poor Management and Poor Treatment of New Employees Wondering why you have a high turnover of STAFF? I'm extremely disappointed in how new employees are being treated at this restaurant. A new server who had only been there one week and was still training was apparently expected to perform perfectly on Father's Day, one of the busiest restaurant days of the year. That is completely unrealistic. What is even more concerning is hearing that management/staff were gossiping about the new server to other employees rather than properly training, supporting, and communicating with them. That is unprofessional and creates a toxic environment for someone who is just trying to learn the job. Even worse, after an entitled customer complained, the new server was reportedly punished by being made to fold silverware for three hours while making only $2 an hour. A customer is not automatically right simply because they complain, and new employees should not be humiliated or punished because management chooses to side with a demanding customer. New employees deserve respect, proper training, and constructive feedback--not gossip, embarrassment, or punishment. If this is how management treats people during their first week, it's no wonder good employees don't stay. Management needs to do better. Treat your employees with the same respect you expect them to show your customers. Treat your staff right, if they are happy then you actually get *happy customers* (look at Hays city store)... maybe get some ideas from the owner because he is doing something right. The Food ? We stopped by here for a late last minute lunch to celebrate my friend's bday on Monday. It wasn't busy at all. Our waitress' service was the best, but I didn't get her name. The food however took quite a while to arrive. We were distracted anyway but I was definitely starving. When it finally came I devoured my steak and sides which were also just fine. The steak color looked a bit off but it tasted okay. My mango margarita was huge! I got it without the spicy (jalapeño) stuff they add and I loved that the most in the table. Their bread came out hot and fresh and they even packed me some to take home. I don't think I'd choose to come here or crave this place again since there's plenty of other steakhouses that are affordable and have better flavor. But, since it's right next to our office, I'm sure we'll be back for someone else's birthday again soon. read more

Had a darn good steak here recently, even as a to-go order. The rolls are also delicious--fresh and buttery. The baked potatoes are just okay; they are never baked long enough and the toppings for the loaded baked potato are skimpy. But the size and quality of the steaks definitely make up for it. read more

Went to Logan's Roadhouse in Buda for dinner, and the new menu boasts an interesting salad I had to try. Seriously, it was big enough for two meals or more, and half made it home for tomorrow with three of the dinner rolls that were untouched The menu calls it the Anything & Everything Salad. It lists Mesquite wood-grilled chicken served over romaine lettuce, bacon, walnuts, cranberries, blue cheese crumbles, tomatoes & hard-boiled egg. I'm glad I didn't pass that up. My wife was happy with a large burger and fries. After being so gastronomically responsible with a salad, I rewarded myself with a piece of New York cheesecake to split. Any guilt I felt was temporary, as my diet continues onward successfully. Server named Jazzy was a delightful. Attentive, charming and efficient. Let me start by saying a waiter can sometimes make or break your restaurant experience and Kelvin definitely made it with his top tier customer service! He was attentive and quick to note when bread was needed or even a refill. His enthusiasm was amazing and he definitely makes you feel valued! I went to eat at Logan's Roadhouse and I ordered the $11.99 meal. I have ordered it before and I knew what I wanted. You get a drink, a choice of salad, an entree and side or two sides. We usually get the same upbeat friendly lady server and this time we were seated at a different place and got a different server. I don't understand what happened. The waiter got our drink order and came back for our meal order and I told him what salad I wanted and he interrupted and said what do you want to eat? I ordered my entree and he asked me what two sides did I want? He asked if we wanted an appatizer as he is walking away and I guess he didn't hear our answer No. Then he came back and delivered our meal. He didn't refill our glasses of tea. He came back and said that he was bringing us $4.00 onion rings again he's talking and walking away. We're eating our meal when he sets the onion rings on the table. Neither one of us ordered them and we are eating out meal. Appitizers come before the meal. We got the ticket and at least we weren't charged for our tea. Got seated and served quickly. Ordered a smaller strip, medium rare. I got a gray steak that was medium leaning toward medium well. Nobody checked on me so I decided to go ahead and eat. The steak was barely acceptable but then again this chain uses such thin cuts, there's no chew or anything or anyway. My next interaction was with the server who was trying to clock out. Came here while driving back from San Antonio to Austin and made a pit stop for dinner on a Saturday evening. There was plenty of seating available so we were seated right away. I had the fish and chips with a side of broccoli and corn while my child had the cheeseburger kid's meal with a side of cinnamon apples. Both the fish and chips and broccoli tasted like they were frozen and then reheated. The corn also seemed like it was canned or reheated from frozen. The broccoli was so overcooked it was literally disintegrating as I tried to pick it up. My child's cheeseburger was fine but the cinnamon apples were so sweet that she only took one bite and didn't touch the rest (and she loves sweet things). Our waiter was friendly and checked on us often. My niece spilled her milk and he came and cleaned it up with a smile on his face. Overall, service was good but I would pass on the food. read more

We kind of just ended up here when on the way to somewhere else. There was no waiting time and it was a Saturday. Server came pretty quick and asked about drinks. We ordered fried shrooms for appetizers and they place a basket of bread for the table. Those two items were probably the best tasting items for the whole meal. There were two items off the menu that they didn't have, so had to change them. Instead of Carolina shrimp it was regular grilled shrimp; it didn't have much flavor. The other item they didn't have, was fall off the ribs. They subbed it with pork ribs; it was ok. I ordered the 6oz steak med well and it came out still bleeding and Im not a fan of that. I like the pink not the bleeding red. Baked potato was good with butter and sour cream. Hubby had the Logans signature steak and he said it was alright. Grandson ate the mac cheese so they have to be decent if he eats it because he is a picky one. The service was good and friendly. place seemed clean. Didn't hear any complaints about the bathroom, so there is that. Would I come back? well, if someone else is suggesting it or if I have a craving for the mushrooms. I want to personally thank Logans and your staff for making our family experience perfect on this past weekend. We celebrated my father 62nd birthday and we celebrated the life of my mother who past away this past April. My parents loved going to Logans when it was around in Corpus Christi many years ago. It was my fathers wish to celebrate his birthday and life of my mother at your establishment. My father and family traveled form Corpus Christi and myself came from San Antonio and our experience was wonderful. We haven't had Logans in long time and your food and staff where great to be around. My kids went for the first time and of course love the rolls. We have all had a ruff time with my mothers passing especially my father, however watching him smiling having his grilled wings made us smile. Your staff was very fast and always asked if we needed anything. Our waiter (sorry don't remember her name) did great job attending to us and was nice enough to take family photo of us at the end. Logan's offers steak and comfort food dishes comparable to Texas Roadhouse. Generally speaking, Texas Roadhouse delivers superior food. However, this experience changed my mind. Logan's locations were once numerous across town and nearby suburbs. Then the parent company declared bankruptcy and they were sold. Most locations closed during the pandemic. This is the lone survivor in the Austin metro, and it's technically in Buda. We met some friends from Kyle in the middle at this location last Friday for dinner. Our server was Jenna and she really made the meal far more pleasant. She was happy and upbeat in her service and presentation, but also honest when it mattered most: getting us through the ordering process. No happy hour, no specials, no discounts--which is fine since the prices at Logan's appear to be reasonable. The food was also honest. Dinner rolls were fantastic. Onion rings ordered by our friends were really good and not too greasy. Caesar salad was spot on. I had the 11 ounce sirloin. It appeared a bit small for the weight, but it was tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The baked potato was on the small side but fully baked. Note that a loaded potato has an upcharge for anything more than butter or sour cream, so I had mine with butter only. A minor quibble or two: The booth tables at this location are smaller than I recall at other locations. They are about 1 foot too short and narrow, which gets to be a challenge with four entrees, side plates, silverware, and multiple beverages. And the step down from the elevated booths can be a bit tricky; luckily, they put a small sign of the end of the table reminding you to step down. Overall, about 3.5 stars, rounded up to 4 thanks to Jenna's great service. Would I go back? Yes, given similar circumstances. Would I go out of my way to dine here? No, I'd go to one of the much closer Texas Roadhouse locations, since they have more side options and better value. Recommended in the absence of closer/better steakhouse options nearby. read more

Waitress came by after we had tried for awhile and did offer to replace them, buy by then we were tired (had been at Sea World all day) and said we didn't want to wait and we would just take the $37 worth of steak home to the dog. When the bill was presented, they had deducted $9 for "customer satisfaction." So we will not be back. Used to have one in our town but it went out of business, and perhaps that was a good thing. Food was good. It wasn't great, but it was good. We live in some 35 miles away and we certainly would not drive the distance to go here. It was just by chance we were in the area and the restaurant was there. We've tried other Logans and the food was awesome. This one was so, so. The steak was just sitting there on the plate. Although it tasted good, it didn't come at you as the meal that you were hoping for. I had there new plate of seafood gumbo. It was good, but again, not something to die for. I guess what I look for in dining is food that is steaming hot and as it is brought to you, you can smell it and just want to sink your teeth in it and feel the wave of goodness. This was not it. The service was so, so. We ate at the bar area, so the bartender took care of us. We were not her no. 1 priority. But she was kind. The ambiance as a whole was typical of Logans. Wow! Very disappointing on the dessert takeout. My sister got one last week to go, and it did not look like this. Her's had the cream, wafers and caramel. This does not look like that. This looks like a very lazy version of it. A pricey dessert for this presentation. The service for this is crap. I'm extremely disappointed and deserve better than this. Let me start off by saying where have all the Logan's gone? I drove down from Dallas because I had a gift card and this was one location that was still open. We arrived around 7pm on a Monday and this is not the logans I remember. No peanuts offered, we had to ask for a rolls, i don't know if our server was new but everything we asked, she had to go ask someone and come right back. With that said, what saves them is their food was good and affordable and the drinks were really good. Unfortunately due to how far they are I can't say I'll be running back but if you are in the area and looking for a meal, I wouldn't tell you not to go, especially during their happy hour. read more

Twice I have called an order in over the phone, went to pick it up, and they had not even started making the order yet. Seems like there is a little bit of a disconnect in the kitchen. Went there this past Sunday, it was rather empty especially at lunch time? The waitress was very pleasant, the atmosphere was dull! The food was okay, I got the chicken ribs and sausage platter. It tasted smoked but must have been liquid smoked. The chicken looked cooked but was rather pinkish in color. I only came because it was close to Cabelas and it seemed to be the better choice at the moment, but up the road was a Texas Roadhouse which I really prefer.
