I recommend this restaurant. The wait staff are friendly, kind and very attentive. I have been several times and it is always a great experience. I normally tip 20% but they deserve more. Had a darn good steak here recently, even as a to-go order. The rolls are also delicious--fresh and buttery. The baked potatoes are just okay; they are never baked long enough and the toppings for the loaded baked potato are skimpy. The ambiance was laid back We got greeted and seated right away. The waitress wasn't the greatest. It took awhile for to get refills. She didn't check on us like others that she had to attend to. Went to Logan's Roadhouse in Buda for dinner, and the new menu boasts an interesting salad I had to try. Seriously, it was big enough for two meals or more, and half made it home for tomorrow with three of the dinner rolls that were untouched The menu calls it the Anything & Everything Salad. It lists Mesquite wood-grilled chicken served over romaine lettuce, bacon, walnuts, cranberries, blue cheese crumbles, tomatoes & hard-boiled egg. I'm glad I didn't pass that up. My wife was happy with a large burger and fries. After being so gastronomically responsible with a salad, I rewarded myself with a piece of New York cheesecake to split. Any guilt I felt was temporary, as my diet continues onward successfully. Server named Jazzy was a delightful. Attentive, charming and efficient. Let me start by saying a waiter can sometimes make or break your restaurant experience and Kelvin definitely made it with his top tier customer service! Got seated and served quickly. Ordered a smaller strip, medium rare. I got a gray steak that was medium leaning toward medium well. Nobody checked on me so I decided to go ahead and eat. The steak was barely acceptable but then again this chain uses such thin cuts, there's no chew or anything or anyway. My next interaction was with the server who was trying to clock out. Came here while driving back from San Antonio to Austin and made a pit stop for dinner on a Saturday evening. There was plenty of seating available so we were seated right away. I had the fish and chips with a side of broccoli and corn while my child had the cheeseburger kid's meal with a side of cinnamon apples. Both the fish and chips and broccoli tasted like they were frozen and then reheated. The corn also seemed like it was canned or reheated from frozen. The broccoli was so overcooked it was literally disintegrating as I tried to pick it up. My child's cheeseburger was fine but the cinnamon apples were so sweet that she only took one bite and didn't touch the rest (and she loves sweet things). Our waiter was friendly and checked on us often. My niece spilled her milk and he came and cleaned it up with a smile on his face. Overall, service was good but I would pass on the food. read more

We kind of just ended up here when on the way to somewhere else. There was no waiting time and it was a Saturday. Server came pretty quick and asked about drinks. We ordered fried shrooms for appetizers and they place a basket of bread for the table. Those two items were probably the best tasting items for the whole meal. There were two items off the menu that they didn't have, so had to change them. Instead of Carolina shrimp it was regular grilled shrimp; it didn't have much flavor. The other item they didn't have, was fall off the ribs. They subbed it with pork ribs; it was ok. I ordered the 6oz steak med well and it came out still bleeding and Im not a fan of that. I like the pink not the bleeding red. Baked potato was good with butter and sour cream. Hubby had the Logans signature steak and he said it was alright. Grandson ate the mac cheese so they have to be decent if he eats it because he is a picky one. The service was good and friendly. place seemed clean. Didn't hear any complaints about the bathroom, so there is that. Would I come back? well, if someone else is suggesting it or if I have a craving for the mushrooms. Logan's offers steak and comfort food dishes comparable to Texas Roadhouse. Generally speaking, Texas Roadhouse delivers superior food. However, this experience changed my mind. Logan's locations were once numerous across town and nearby suburbs. Then the parent company declared bankruptcy and they were sold. Most locations closed during the pandemic. This is the lone survivor in the Austin metro, and it's technically in Buda. We met some friends from Kyle in the middle at this location last Friday for dinner. Our server was Jenna and she really made the meal far more pleasant. She was happy and upbeat in her service and presentation, but also honest when it mattered most: getting us through the ordering process. No happy hour, no specials, no discounts--which is fine since the prices at Logan's appear to be reasonable. The food was also honest. Dinner rolls were fantastic. Onion rings ordered by our friends were really good and not too greasy. Caesar salad was spot on. I had the 11 ounce sirloin. It appeared a bit small for the weight, but it was tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The baked potato was on the small side but fully baked. Note that a loaded potato has an upcharge for anything more than butter or sour cream, so I had mine with butter only. A minor quibble or two: The booth tables at this location are smaller than I recall at other locations. They are about 1 foot too short and narrow, which gets to be a challenge with four entrees, side plates, silverware, and multiple beverages. And the step down from the elevated booths can be a bit tricky; luckily, they put a small sign of the end of the table reminding you to step down. Overall, about 3.5 stars, rounded up to 4 thanks to Jenna's great service. Would I go back? Yes, given similar circumstances. Would I go out of my way to dine here? No, I'd go to one of the much closer Texas Roadhouse locations, since they have more side options and better value. Recommended in the absence of closer/better steakhouse options nearby. read more

Git two $18.50 "The Logan" sirloin steaks and could not chew them they were so tough. Waitress came by after we had tried for awhile and did offer to replace them, buy by then we were tired (had been at Sea World all day) and said we didn't want to wait and we would just take the $37 worth of steak home to the dog. When the bill was presented, they had deducted $9 for "customer satisfaction." So we will not be back. Used to have one in our town but it went out of business, and perhaps that was a good thing. Wow! Very disappointing on the dessert takeout. My sister got one last week to go, and it did not look like this. Her's had the cream, wafers and caramel. This does not look like that. This looks like a very lazy version of it. A pricey dessert for this presentation. The service for this is crap. I'm extremely disappointed and deserve better than this. Food was good. It wasn't great, but it was good. We live in some 35 miles away and we certainly would not drive the distance to go here. It was just by chance we were in the area and the restaurant was there. We've tried other Logans and the food was awesome. This one was so, so. The steak was just sitting there on the plate. Although it tasted good, it didn't come at you as the meal that you were hoping for. I had there new plate of seafood gumbo. It was good, but again, not something to die for. I guess what I look for in dining is food that is steaming hot and as it is brought to you, you can smell it and just want to sink your teeth in it and feel the wave of goodness. This was not it. The service was so, so. We ate at the bar area, so the bartender took care of us. We were not her no. 1 priority. But she was kind. The ambiance as a whole was typical of Logans. Went there this past Sunday, it was rather empty especially at lunch time? The waitress was very pleasant, the atmosphere was dull! The food was okay, I got the chicken ribs and sausage platter. It tasted smoked but must have been liquid smoked. The chicken looked cooked but was rather pinkish in color. I only came because it was close to Cabelas and it seemed to be the better choice at the moment, but up the road was a Texas Roadhouse which I really prefer. Let me start off by saying where have all the Logan's gone? I drove down from Dallas because I had a gift card and this was one location that was still open. We arrived around 7pm on a Monday and this is not the logans I remember. No peanuts offered, we had to ask for a rolls, i don't know if our server was new but everything we asked, she had to go ask someone and come right back. With that said, what saves them is their food was good and affordable and the drinks were really good. Unfortunately due to how far they are I can't say I'll be running back but if you are in the area and looking for a meal, I wouldn't tell you not to go, especially during their happy hour. read more

My mom and I eat here twice a week, if she could she would go every day. I think the main reason is the staff, especially Dorothy..who is always cheerful, friendly and knows our drink order. She is patient with my mom and helpful. Myself I love the food especially the wood grilled chicken and chopped steak. I've been here twice now. The first time was fantastic. The second time was a disaster. First, we were very confused because three waiters came up to us, so we weren't sure who was our real server. I ordered a peach lemonade. When they brought over the peach lemonade, I mentioned to my husband how pretty it was because it was in a cute glass. I took a sip and realized it was alcohol. I gave it to my husband to double check. He said yes that's definitely alcohol. We politely asked our server if we could get a regular peach lemonade. The lady instantly said " are you 20, ooo someone's gonna get in trouble." I explained yes I'm over 21 however, I'm five months pregnant. She then laughed about it. Replaced the drink this time it was just a peach lemonade. While we are waiting for food, my husband and I mentioned how no one apologized for that. So we were already a little irritated. After waiting for 50+ minutes. We were wondering where our food was. We're getting hot and noticed that there was a lot of smoke coming from the back. After 10 more minutes of waiting, our server came up to us. And said she forgot to put in our order. Again, no apology or anything, but we've already been waiting for over an hour now. She went to go put in the order. But my husband was like maybe we should just leave and just pay for drinks right now because he works overnight and it was starting to get late. We're tired of waiting. A few minutes later, she came back up to us told us that the kitchen is on fire (which is why it was hot and smoky ) and the food will be out shortly. We decided to keep waiting. I was really excited to try my food because the first time we came our food was so good. Probably an hour and a half goes by from the time we arrived. And our food finally came out. The manager also came out and just mentioned how the food will be comped, but we still have to pay for drinks. She didn't apologize or anything. She just acted like this happens often and oh well basically. When our food arrived, it really wasn't that that good. The steak was great. But I also got crabcakes and shrimp. The shrimp had absolutely no seasoning on it. And the crabcakes were very soggy. My husband steak was a bit overcooked, which wasn't a real issue. But his sweet potato was pretty raw & hard. He said it was hard to eat. Overall, this second time visiting, Logan's roadhouse was a complete disaster so much happened. I still wish we got an apology for the alcohol mishap. I do not think we'll be coming back. read more
