Loved Chuys and not sure why I haven't been here for the last two years while living in Texas. The wait for the table was initially twenty mins but got the table on Sunday noon within five mins. Funky and colorful ambiance , signifying Mexican colors. The menu was short and to the point, My order: Veggie Enchillads Cheese enchiladas Veggie hard shell taco Relenno with boom boom sauce Loved all the food and the size. Boom boom sauce is an extra $2 but wasn't as spicy as they had posted but it was the best since I sampled all their sauces. It was still a little bland and mild. Relleno was a little burnt fried but still loved the texture. Poblano pepper along with cheese and beans was amazing! The red rice was excellent and was great by itself. The veggie enchiladas was so different compared to the ones I have had before. This one had potatoes! Three stars because of the delay in service. It took them easily thirty mins to serve us the food! They didn't even check on us for the whole time!!

Food is always great at Chuys! I always have the shrimp tacos and a side of the queso compuesto (no pico). Restaurant was nice and clean and not too busy during the weekdays. Overall enjoyed my time here.

Came to this Chuy's on the way back from playing some mini golf and my bf and I decided to try a new variation of what we typically get at Tex-Mex/Mexican restaurants. We got the chicken enchiladas with the "spiciest" sauce on the menu and were pretty disappointed as it wasn't as spicy as we anticipated- to be honest it wasn't spicy at all!! We also tried the green chile rice with their mexican rice and though the texture was great, the flavor was sadly lacking. Chuy's chicken for their enchiladas never disappoints though and of course their queso is amazing. The service and ambiance at this location were both great and I have 0 complaints regarding that! But after being spoiled by authentic taqueria enchiladas, we may need to just try something else on the menu to not dissuade us away from Chuy's..!

Like Rudy's BBQ, Chuy's gets so much hate because it's a franchise, But, you know what happens with franchises? THEY STAY CONSISTENT AND ARE RELIABLE! There's never a time when I don't recommend Chuy's to out-of-towners. It always impresses. If you're wanting a true Tex-Mex experience, Chuy's is the place. But don't ask me what's the correlation between Elvis & Chuy's... What to order: A mountain of Creamy Jalapeño for your chips (you'll thank me later) and for those who enjoy a little bit of everything, The Elvis Presley Memorial Combo. The Elvis Presley combo comes with three different enchiladas and a taco with all the fixings (rice and beans). Since this location opened a month ago (April 22), they are not taking an online waitlist. You'll have to check-in in person. For a table of 4, we arrived on a Friday night at 5:00 PM, and the wait time was already at 35 minutes.

My husband and I decided to go to Chuy's for lunch today in celebration of National Margarita Day. Our chips came out quickly along with salsa and my fav-their jalapeno ranch. I decided to try their blackberry margarita and it was quite tasty. Not sugary sweet like a lot of fruit flavored drinks. We ordered a large bowl of queso as well. I decided to have the fajita chicken tacos al carbon and my husband ordered his usual cheese enchiladas. When my tacos arrived, my tortillas were soft and fresh and were stuffed with tons of great flavored fajita chicken strips, grilled onions, and grilled bell peppers. The green chile rice was fluffy with just the right amount of kick from the green chiles. The refried beans were creamy. And it all tastes better topped with some queso and jalapeno ranch. My husband said his cheese enchiladas were very good as well. Chuy's never disappoints. I wish they would bring back additional selections for beans, however, such as charro, which haven't made a return to the post-Covid menu.

NOT HAPPY WITH YALL TODAY My food was set to be ready at 5:55 pm i showed up at 6 pm and checked in. At 6:15 several cars had came and left so i decided to go inside just in case it was more helpful to the staff. They give me my order don't apologize then i get to the car to check it and its missing COMPLIMENTARY salsas. I go back to get them. Then i get home pick up the bag to get off the car and my food flies out of the bottom and the lid to my soup wasn't securely put on. UNACCEPTABLE. Being busy isn't an excuse to not provide good customer service.

My friend and I went here for dinner and cocktails to celebrate a promotion I got. The food was served quickly, everything was delicious and the service was impeccable. Santiago was our waiter and he was friendly and attentive. We also met the very nice manager, Derrick. When I shared with him about my promotion, he gave me a high-five and told me that dessert was on him. Although I've been to Chuy's many times I have never tried their Tres Leches cake. It was the best part of the whole meal! I will definitely be coming here again and bringing more friends. I do believe this will be my new neighborhood spot. They have a great happy hour menu for drinks and food as well.

$15 soft tacos and they forgot my beans and rice this time :(

She noticed I was ordering dairy items on side and asked about if pesto in guacamole was ok. So astute and kind of her. Also on my friends second drink remembered she didn't want salt or her rim without even asking - Everything tasted so fresh and high quality - Brisket tacos: packed with flavor--maybe it was the wagyu meat or the black magic oil. Freshly made corn tortillas were awesome. Usually corn ones and pretty throwaway meh, but these added to the greatness of the tacos. 5 stars - Duck flautas: crispy covered in mild mole. Loved the mashed potato addition inside for some mellowness and texture. 5 stars - Guacamole: so fresh and that dollop of pesto on top was lovely. Served with crispy masa dippers were impressive almost a 8x11 page size. It was fun to crack off into pieces, but hard to stop eating it. 5 stars - Sweet potato: friend loved these long charred wedges. 4.5 stars - Cocktails were stellar. I got the Don Dario which was a play on a marg and delightful - $12 of a few drinks during lucky hour (Mon-Fri 5-6pm, Sat-Sun 3-5pm) - High energy vibes in a clean, open, tan colored space - Had their bottle water on the table in a champagne bottle which speaks to my heart Midlights: - In East Austin so have to Uber if you are staying more central - Tacos come in orders of 4. Wish it was less so we could've tried more variety. Lowlights - No food discounts for lucky hour - Didn't have time to try the choco taco which looked amaze - Large gap of time between items first few items coming out and the rest

And of course, the Guacamole and Queso Fundido remains one of my personal favorites--fresh, flavorful, and always a must-order for the table. I ordered the brunch cachetada and wasn't thrilled. The suiza chicken and runny eggs diluted the flavor and made the cheese crust on the tortilla soggy. I had to add a lot of hot sauce. It needed more texture and flavor. Overall a boring dish. I would definitely return and order something else, however.

Corn flour was the other option. Both meals came in pipin' hot & the smell coming from both was very aromatic, zesty & spice. Amazing taste, flavors, just the right amount of marinade on the Carneasada with a hint of lime. It was so delicious while enjoying the ambiance. I've only been once and it's definitely not gonna be the last time. In fact, we've got an upcoming reservation that's been on the books for quite sometime. The bar & atrium are fantastic and they boast a generous happy hour. The restaurant area and entire space are decorated wonderfully. Amazing artwork adorns the walls, they've got extensive art all about, vaulted ceilings and more. It's kind of like being in a hacienda. It feels like you're in Mexico. Truly. The restaurant and food are upscale without being pretentious. How refreshing! Speaking of refreshing...they've got cocktails and mocktails that will knock your socks off. I'm a big fan of the Nojito. My boyfriend loves the Mexican martini (it's primo). Let's talk about food. Wow-wee is it everything and then some.
