We came again to Willie's since it's close to our home and we had a heavy day. The weather was great, they were setting up a stage for karaoke, I wish we could have stayed because it seems fun and I love karaoke The service this time wasn't as usual, nothing rude or bad drinks, the bartender this time wasn't an older gentleman that wasn't as friendly as the other bartenders we had in the past. We all go through ups and downs so we wouldn't blame him over anything. We will still go back because we like the ambiance and the drinks...cheers!

The food is amazing and the staff are super nice and friendly! Pony is the host with the most!! Thanks for taking care of us. The karaoke was epic too!! Cheers until the next time.

The outdoor ambiance is cool. Just don't recommend the food from Willie's. First time we got the burger, and it came out extremely hot and greasy. It basically took forever to cool because of how greasy it was. Second time we came, we ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich..... that sandwich was not spicy at all. It seriously tasted like a plain old chicken sandwich. So I think the name is extremely misleading. If you want to just sit outside and have alcohol, then this place is probably fine for you. Just beware of the food...

We came here on Sunday and loved it! Their snow crab was solid, and my fiancé liked her Willie's BBQ Burger as well (as did I). They also had nice and more than ample outdoor seating, with TVs, cover in the event of rainfall, and cornhole too. It was a fun time!

We've tried twice now and won't be back. The bartender was nice but the drinks... hardly any alcohol. Both times we've gone. Unfortunate.

This is a great local spot. Service can be spotty, and the food is pretty pricy. We miss the old food trucks!

Meridian is in downtown Buda and is connected to Zoi Wellness. We were able to park in the parking lot across the street. Upon walking in, the space had a rustic loft feel with lots of greenery. The furniture made it feel very cozy. I honestly didn't expect to find a coffee shop like this in Buda. The barista was very nice and gave recommendations. My mom and I both ordered Iced Pecan Pie Lattes which was a seasonal drink that they were featuring. We ordered our drinks to go, but then decided to sit in the cafe and enjoy our beverages. The coffee is legit! We both liked our beverages. I really enjoyed the pecan flavor and the sweetness level was perfect. The barista informed us that they make all of their syrups in house. I noticed that there were plenty of outlets for work or study. There's quite a bit of seating including couches. They have QR codes at each table that you can order from which is so convenient. In addition to coffee (which is served until 5 pm), they also have wellness drinks, wine, beer and cocktails. They have a nice sized stage for live music. I would love to go back in the evening for a cocktail and live music! I'm so happy to have discovered this gem in Buda!

Below par for the Chicken fried steak w potatoes, green beans (flavorless) and I don't know but I expected the Ceviche salmon to be..more. Not entirely a bad experience. Generous parking lot, easy off the highway, good evening hours. The only thing I'll knock it for is being so far south! This entire place feels like a cash grab following the mezcal trend. It's positioned as being a tequila/mezcal spot but their drinks are more basic than cocktails I can order at the airport. When I asked questions about the mezcal they use and offer the bartenders replies were always dealt with either annoyance and limited info or just an "I don't know." Plus it's $$$ you tip on top of the tip they already add but say nothing about? The basic cocktails that are known as Mexican street vendor drinks (not supposed to be $$$) can cost you over $20 alone! Then to be shady about tipping ... cash grab without a good experience. The there's the atmosphere... very limited parking shared with MANY other more busy bars, super loud inside because of no soft surfaces, and the worst part of all... the bench seats are built just tall enough that unless you're super tall, you'll have to sit at the edge of the bench and actively practice good posture. This more than the other things makes me want to leave immediately. You designed a bar to be pretty but in no way functional to its use. It's been a while since my last visit and honestly I chalked all this up to Austin's trend chasing entrepreneurs typical disconnected launch until I had AMAZING cocktails at another new spot that truly impressed with their same priced cocktails that were far far more intricate and creative PLUS they didn't try to con me out of more tip AND their space was warm, and inviting with truly exceptional customer service. That experience reminded me that inflation isn't the only thing making life more expensive ... it's also businesses delivering far less value than promised and demanding we are supremely grateful for their limited effort. If you don't want to leave the neighborhood but you still want a somewhat decent margarita .... it ain't here. Pay half the price at Bodhi's in the same parking lot.

Overview: Louie's BBQ is a small trailer operation tucked into a strip of shops in Buda, just south of Austin, where pitmaster Luis Vasquez has finally found the audience that eluded him in the city. The setup fits the small-town feel: a food truck that is a bit hidden, a casual lot, and a relaxed vibe that contrasts with the big-name Austin lines. Parking can be difficult. On my visit around 11:30, I had no trouble grabbing a spot in front of nearby shops, but you can see how it could get tight as the day goes on. There was just one person working during my visit, but the operation still felt efficient; my food was ready in about ten minutes. Food: The brisket was the best item on the tray. The slices were nicely moist with a good hit of beefiness, a noticeable but not overbearing smoke, and solid seasoning. The pork ribs leaned sweet, with a glaze that pushes in that direction without going candy-like. They were tender and well-cooked, easy to bite through. The sausage was also good: moist and seasoned well. Taken together, the meat lineup is consistent and enjoyable, but not destination-level. The sides show more personality. The pimento-style mac and cheese is very rich and extremely creamy, with a sweetness up front and a small kick underneath. The sauce is so thick that a single serving is plenty. The coleslaw hits a nice middle ground: creamy dressing, good crunch, and enough freshness to cut through the heavier bites. The tres leches corn is the most adventurous item I tried, a sweet creamed corn with cinnamon notes that leans dessert-ish. I am not convinced the concept fully clicks, but it is not bad, just more of a curiosity than a must-order. Dessert comes in the form of a banana-forward banana pudding with soft Nilla wafers. It delivers exactly what you expect and nothing more, which matches the theme of the meal: good, but not quite exceptional. On value, Louie's is top tier. With brisket at $34/lb, ribs at $22/lb, and sausage at $5-$6/link, it is well under many of the better-known spots in the greater Austin area, especially when you factor in that you are not paying with an hour in line. Portions are fair, and given the quality, it feels like an easy place to over-order without blowing up your budget. Final Thoughts: Louie's BBQ is not trying to be the next Franklin or a Texas Monthly pilgrimage stop, and that actually works in its favor. What you get is steady, well-executed barbecue, some fun, sweeter-leaning sides, and a bill that does not sting. I would not tell someone to plan an entire trip around it, but for folks in Buda or anyone already south of Austin who wants quality smoked meat without the big-city hassle, Louie's is one of the better stops in the area.
