This new location is similar to the one we know and love in Austin but geared towards the area. Meaning that the outdoor space is much more ample with lots of seating, cornhole, etc. Interior seating is ample as well. Same great decor style and same great service and offerings. Looking forward to more stops here whenever we're in the area.

Our first time here was for the bash and it did not disappoint. Great bar with our favorite taco truck outside! Staff is fast and friendly. Cool vibe with Cash decor that we love! We will definitely be back!!

First, the service was amazing, our server was very attentive, extremely kind and gave me great recommendations. Now, the food... I went there to try some apps and I was in awe by the deliciousness and tastiness of the plates I got. The crispy calamari was one of a kind... I loved the mix of chili with pecans, which I had never tried. Also, the oysters were absolutely amazing! I got 2 dozens since they were so good... and the yellow tuna tostadas, were perfect to finish up, the tuna was a high quality tuna and the guac with pepitas gave it a nice touch... my server recommended a nice white wine to pair all of this and it was fantastic. I highly recommend (if it's not too hot) to dine outside. Coming back for sure!

There were no salads, nor the usual cheese, fruit display that you would find at a typical nice brunch, nor bread and pastry options (only cheap Texas Toast that they were pulling out of a bag.) The butter bowl, yikes! It was disgusting! Denny style grape and Apple jelly by Smuckers was the offering. If you like chips and quest or Mexican breakfast things, then you could find that. There were no desserts. It was like a basic Holiday Inn buffet. Sad.

When we were poking around looking for breweries in the area on Yelp we came across The Shady Llama! This place doesn't make their own beer but they have lots of guest taps for breweries in the surrounding area. It's a good variety of beers to choose from and it looks like there is at least one food truck available sometimes in case you get hungry. The main draw for why we came here was to see the llamas and indeed we dis see some. One of them gave us some attitude and then sauntered off down a hill, taking it's less moody companion with it. They were funny and with the attitude I got and the name of the place I posted the Eminem song "My Name Is" where the lyrics "Slim Shady" get mentioned on Instagram because I thought it was all quite fitting. In addition to seeing the llamas we saw a great view of Hill Country. There was a lot of seating when we were here and could pick pretty much anywhere we wanted to sit. But I'm sure the place can get busy... the location and those llamas are reason enough. Cold beer, moody llamas and beautiful Hill Country... definitely worth the stop!

We also ordered the tostadas, biscuits and gravy, and avocado toast, and every dish was full of flavor and beautifully done. The mimosas were just as impressive; I tried the guava mimosa for the first time and it was so refreshing and delicious. To top it all off, the atmosphere is absolutely perfect. Sometimes they have live music, and you can also head out back to relax by the fire, which really adds to the overall experience. It's peaceful, charming, and feels like the perfect escape. They had it playing on the TVs inside and the place was PACKED -- I'm sure both for the World Cup and father's day. They also had a live band playing in the afternoon outside; it was hot to be out there but the music coming into the covered area was still really nice. Of course it's a little pricey for what you get (both the beer and the food), and they sell out of things which is why I took off a star since the one thing I came to try was actually sold out that day sadly... but the schnitzel hot dog I had wasn't bad. Overall you come here for the ambiance and music, anyway. I'm sure they do beer tasting/tours, but we didn't sign up for that. They also have a very large gravel lot that fits everyone fine -- we got a parking spot within a few mins of arriving despite how busy it was.

So, if there's a place I like, I'm gonna go again and again. Vista is one of those places. I like their approach to beer making. They are vigilantly local when it comes to ingredients and offerings. The brewery/restaurant sits on over 20 acres in hill country. Large, clean, and modern interior with large outdoor seating areas and patio setups. Picnic tables, fire pits, etc. The food is good, gang. Love the grilled sausage board and the cheese board (all local cheese). Soft pretzel & cheese also super good. Lots of other items in the menu that look incredible. Sunday brunch too. Farm to table. The pours...oh, the pours. Excellent beers! I love the black pilsner (Dark Skies), the chocolate notes come through in such an aromatic and roasty manner. The pale ale (Driftwood Pale Ale) is the perfect summer pour. It's light, crisp, and refreshing. In addition to the regular pours, they've got a lot of seasonal offerings too. They also serve wine/wine cocktails and n/an options. Spending a day in hill country?
