    Wine Bar

Social on the Square is my favorite place to relax and have a glass of wine! The wine bar is well decorated and has a variety of seating options to match your mood! The upstairs lounge area offers a nice escape for couples or bring a group of friends and make it a party! If you love to people watch, you can hang out at the window table top. The downstairs bistro tables are easy to arrange to accommodate the size of your group, so invite your friends and share your favorite bottle of wine! Henson Square offers a small stage with live music, Ikea skarpo chairs, picnic tables, and fire pits. Be sure to check out the musical lineup and store hours. Shops close early in Wimberley so plan an afternoon and early evening visit. I always enjoy the Torresella Prosecco Rose but be sure to ask for a sample (or two) to find your favorite!

Stopped by here in our way to New Braunfels and glad we made the stop! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is really cute, very modern farmhouse vibes and service was great![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We all ordered a flight of wines, it comes with 4 choices. We also ordered two charcuterie boards which our hostess combined together for our table. It was relaxing, wines were good, and food was good! Will come back again next time we're in the area!

This has to be one of my favorite places in Wimberley after my visit today! My friend and I saw a cute little cove of shops and saw people sitting outside by a nice fire (it was chilly today) with beer and champagne so figured we'd check it out. We went in where we were greeted by two friendly woman and the faces of smiling customers - always a good sign! The inside seating area was casual but cute. You walk up to the bar area to order your drinks and the women who work there are very helpful. I told them what I was in the mood for and they helped me decide on the right pour for me... they also let me taste a few to ensure I liked what I was about to order. I ordered a glass of the pine ridge champagne and my friend ordered a dressed dos equis on draft. Both of us were very pleased with our orders. We took our drinks to the outdoor seating area, found a sunny spot and relaxed while we caught up. Everyone was very friendly around us and we ended up chatting and making new friends. This place also sold S'mores kits so you could make them my the fire - genius! This place is perfect for a girls day or a date night! Definitely a place I'd recommend!

    Charcuterie box

Walked into Social on the Square in Wimberley about 4 minutes ago. The environment is quaint with a very simple process. The two women behind the counter were very polite and professional. I arrived at a time when the crowd was very low maybe 6-8 people. I ordered a Charcuterie Board- was somewhat disappointed to see the definition of a charcuterie board was 2 Cheeses and 2 meats with a few nuts, grapes and raspberries served in a paper board cardboard box. For $18 the cheeses should not be something I can pick up in an H‑E‑B. In fact nothing in this charcuterie box was uniques special or interesting. The wine I order was a Finca Nueva Tempranillo from Spain. As for the drink offerings they have a small but reasonable collection. I suspect my only disappointment with the is I remain somewhat of a snob and do not enjoy a decent red wine served at room temperature. Most reds should be served between 54-57 degrees. In Texas, on a day that is close to 100 room temperature is somewhere between 75-80 which makes the drink feel excessive warm. Having said this however, I will say I have found very few Texas establishments that appropriately present wine. I would have given this place two stars had the environment and friendliness of the staff not added significantly to the experience of being in this place. I will come back because it is close and easy. Being one who make charcuterie boards and eats small plates 95% of the time I had hoped for a different experience but I am not surprised. The overtly rural nature of Texas has made difficult the finding of places that I feel drawl towards in all areas. What I am happy to say is this is not just another Texas Bar-b-que with disappointing hype.

The staff was very friendly and the fact that they had drinks to go was awesome! They had some live music on their patio, which was awesome too! I would recommend any of their frozen drinks!

Had the opportunity during a shopping trip to Wimberley to stop in and try a new spot "Social on the Square" for a small bite & some bubbly. The suggested champagne I tried was delicious and as was the food. It was a perfect afternoon. Lots of space outdoors to enjoy and very chic interior space as well. I personally enjoyed the lounge space upstairs. Wonderful experience and plan to visit again soon! Would suggest to anyone in the area, you won't regret it!

Great little place to get a drink and get out of the heat. Hostess was great and very friendly as well as helpful. Beer, bubbles and wine. All a man could ask for other than the company of my wife. If you're in Wimberley at the square stop by. Great place with a cool upstairs hangout

Service - we have been here about 4-5 times, but service has never been too great or too friendly. The bar on the beer side is always pleasant but the tasting bar side always has a bit of a tiny rude vibe - and I don't mention it ever but I'm in the wine industry and we don't see this normally. Also tonight we were asked to move to a different table as they didn't prepare for a Harry Potter event ahead of time just as we settled in after a rough day (and our young pup finally chilled out). It felt we were being pushed out and the other table was by the window/door that was glass so I was cold. My senior mom was cold after we had found a great spot that was warm for her. Live music tonight was also quite off - I wouldn't suggest this place anymore. I'm not sure if in the last year it has gone down hill but it's no longer worth the drive for a mediocre experience. They gave many potential beautiful spaces but they don't utilize them, nor update them, so the vibe is just outdated. No music on the speakers can be heard when there isn't live music. So sorry to not write the best review here but it's honest.

We came as part of a larger tour across multiple Driftwood area wineries with reservations for their tastings. They have a set tasting menu and a staff member will guide you through each of the pours with explanations of the flavor profiles. On our last visit it was a mix of whites, reds and a sweet wine at the end. The pours are generous and all their wines have tasted great. You can order some snacks like a charcuterie plate on the side. The space is beautiful and I've heard they have a venue on the estate for hosting parties or weddings. They have a beautiful outdoor garden that makes for gorgeous photos or relaxing outside. Check this spot out on your next Austin area winery tour!

Luckily my sister had the reservation email to show them because the girl just kept repeating the same thing until someone senior came by to help us. The wine was tasty but the tasting itself was only moderately enjoyable. The main reason was the tasting was 30-40 minutes long and we just had to stand at a counter. We couldn't order food at the counter either. We are used to tastings being at a table where we do the tasting, order bottles we enjoyed while noshing on food from the menu. Standing for 40 minutes at a counter was not expected or enjoyable. One of our family members has a disability and is unable to stand that long so he and my husband sat outside while the ladies did the wine tasting inside at the counter. It was really disappointing as the expectation was a nice afternoon at the winery with the group and it ended up being two separate groups and standing the whole time at a counter wasn't enjoyable. The wine was good. We brought two bottles home. The experience left a lot to be desired.

I enjoyed my time here. Don't forget to get some gelato on your way out. The service was spectacular and the waiter was so knowledgeable about the menu . Now, let's get into what I ate. Appetizers: Bread- I'm not sure what the proper name for the bread is, but it was so good. The bread was like a warm hug. It had a welcoming taste. I can't even explain it fully. The texture was phenomenal. It was like a cornbread and a roll put together. Artichoke fritters- This dish surprised me. I didn't expect to like it so much. It was fried to perfection and flavorful. I honestly didn't need the sauce . Meatballs- The meatballs were the best I've had in my life. They were covered in a well prepared sauce. Entrée: Snapper with pesto pasta- My snapper was very flavorful. The only downfall of the snapper was the size. For the price, I expected a whole snapper. The pasta was good, but I'm not a huge fan of pasta. I also ordered brussel sprouts. The brussel sprouts were cooked very well. Dessert: Biscoff and almond gelato - This was a perfect ending to to a wonderful meal. The gelato flavors change often. I will definitely go again!
