I thought this place was great! Clearly it is the local watering hole and was packed from the minute we got there, till the moment we left. We even drove by later in the evening and it was still packed. As for the ambiance, very nice vibe, great views and lots of seating. They were equipped with outdoor heaters all throughout the outdoor seating area also. While we were there, we saw two servers and they were attending all the guests pretty quickly, so we didn't have any issue there. We did see that the tables weren't getting cleaned off for the new groups coming in and we also never got our food. We ordered a frozen margarita and an Austin East cider and some fries. Our drinks came out right away but the fries never came out and we were already done with our drinks so we just asked our waitress to take them off the bill. Other than that everything was great. We frequent Wimberley and this will definitely be in our rotation of stops. Oh! They also have big screen TV's with games on!

I love Wimberley! This place used to roll up the sidewalks at sunset, but now it's got a little nightlife action. Sure, it all still shuts down around 11-12, but hey--at least now you can stay out late enough to feel rebellious without ruining your morning coffee routine. Beers are about $8-9, which is basically the price of admission to hang out under some of the best string lights you'll ever see. The Let Go is the star of the show--you can plop down under a giant glowing tree, grab a drink from the long bar, and catch a game on one of the TVs. It's cozy, fun, and you'll definitely feel cooler than you actually are.

View from the bar- very chill. And the onion rings are A+++++

This outdoor dive bar is super quaint and definitely a place for locals tofeel seen and connected. As a visitor of Wimberley, this week, I found their margarita to be quite dangerous and the best way possible. The margarita is definitely very strong. I am showing a picture of my melted. Second margarita that I definitely won't be able to finish, but if that is what you were looking for. This is definitely the spot to get Great drinks, great vibes, and kind people surrounding you.

Cool retro outdoor bar! Nice place to grab drinks with friends. Burgers are a always a hit with visitors but some of the other items are hit or miss. Everyone agrees the fries are disappointing. The giant oak trees provide shade and the Adirondack chairs offer a relaxing atmosphere. Traffic noise can be overwhelming so come off peak for a more relaxing experience.

Service was a little slow, but understandable with the small kitchen and large amount of customers they got. This seems like one of the main watering holes for folks to gather and grab a drink after a long day. Fish tacos and Philly Cheesesteak was incredibly filling and tasty! Chicken sandwich tasted a little burnt, and is definitely not as spicy as expected. The fish tacos were more spicy than the chicken! But the size was definitely one of the biggest chicken sandwiches I've seen, They have a really fun bathroom so make sure to go wash your hands at least once before you leave!

Fun retro bar in Wimberley! Only outdoor seating but plenty of it. Staff was friendly and casual. Menu has a lot of bar food options. Cheese fries hit the spot- pickled jalapeños and bacon really added to it. Came with a side of ranch too. Nashville hot chicken sandwich was super crispy, but not spicy, could have used more heat for sure but the crunch was really nice.

I'd like to love this place, but I simply cannot. The service is very inconsistent and the food follows suit. I've had a couple of really good meals here but sadly, I've had more bad ones. Our server tonight was pretty indifferent. My drink was ok-a margarita that has been better. I was excited to see fried shrimp on the menu but was very disappointed when it arrived. While the 6 shrimp were large as promised, they were not butterflied, fresh tasting or scrumptious. The breading fell off completely, and the red sauce served with it was not ample for the portion. The only thing with my shrimp were some fries that seemed leftover from lunch. They were soggy and barely warm. Top it off with their horrible environmental policies; foil squeeze tubes of ketchup, plastic lidded containers for sauces, and plastic flatware, the place often feels dirty. It's the most visible bar scene in Wimberley so it will continue to thrive. But I'd avoid if you want service, consistency, fresh flavor and cleanliness.

A car drove buy that had a dog wearing doggles lmao. The highlight of my visit.

We decided to meet a few friends at the let go in downtown Wimberley. Like anywhere near there, parking is not easy but if you drive around long enough, you'll eventually find one a few blocks away. We started with a bloody Mary and a French 77, which were both $12 each. My fiance liked her French 77 but the first and second one tasted quite different, not surprising based on the lack of measuring when it was made. The bloody Mary was very cucumber forward, a little weird for that drink but probably not bad if you like cucumber (I don't). They had beer top but not a great selection if you like craft imo. My second drink was a michelada which was cheaper and better than the Mary. What I did enjoy was the outside seating and people watching as you're right in the middle of the action and traffic in Wimberley. We had a decent time but probably wouldn't hurry back.

Food and drinks were good! The location is the best part. Right in the middle of the commotion! Would recommend

Service - we have been here about 4-5 times, but service has never been too great or too friendly. The bar on the beer side is always pleasant but the tasting bar side always has a bit of a tiny rude vibe - and I don't mention it ever but I'm in the wine industry and we don't see this normally. Also tonight we were asked to move to a different table as they didn't prepare for a Harry Potter event ahead of time just as we settled in after a rough day (and our young pup finally chilled out). It felt we were being pushed out and the other table was by the window/door that was glass so I was cold. My senior mom was cold after we had found a great spot that was warm for her. Live music tonight was also quite off - I wouldn't suggest this place anymore. I'm not sure if in the last year it has gone down hill but it's no longer worth the drive for a mediocre experience. They gave many potential beautiful spaces but they don't utilize them, nor update them, so the vibe is just outdated. No music on the speakers can be heard when there isn't live music. So sorry to not write the best review here but it's honest.

I ordered the Tuesday special: pancakes with two eggs cooked over easy, plus a side of sourdough toast. My wife went with the biscuits and gravy. When my plate arrived, one of the egg yolks was already broken--not ideal--but I wasn't about to let that ruin breakfast. After all, I was planning to break them anyway. The toast was clearly meant for yolk-dipping (something I've done since I was a kid), though it arrived unbuttered, which slowed things down a bit. And with pancakes this large, I had to unwrap several pats of butter to get them properly dressed. That said, the pancakes were the real winner--fluffy, delicious, and generously sized. Bonus points for serving them with warmed maple syrup, which always makes a difference. My wife wasn't as happy with her biscuits and gravy and wished she had chosen something with more protein. I'm not usually a biscuit person either, which is why I tend to avoid them--but I always give them a fair try. The biscuits weren't my thing, but the gravy was quite good, with a subtle hint of heat that added some personality. Service was a mixed bag. Our waitress wasn't particularly friendly. I understand it was early, but service does matter. I generally start at a 20% tip and adjust up or down depending on the experience. This landed somewhere between 15% and 20%, which felt fair. Overall, the cafe was nicely decorated for Christmas and had a warm, nostalgic diner vibe. If we find ourselves back in Wimberley with breakfast on the agenda, this is a place I'd gladly consider again.

For most pasta dishes, I'd hit Mandola's in Austin. Save about $10 an entree and some gas money. A few weeks ago I didn't want to venture too far off the ranch. Wife and I ended up at Lisina on Saturday. Calamari to start was crisp and not chewy. Caesar salad followed and was a nice example of the dish. Lisina is also a little skimpy on offering bread refills. We finished with drinks and the panna cotta. Just over $100 for this experience. WELL, the next day I needed to take mom out for her anniversary. Dad has long passed but I always try to do something special. Sunday highlights forthcoming. This time with mom and Rooster along we started with the carpaccio. The presentation really wowed because it looks like red plate until you realize all that color is shaved tenderloin. White plate underneath! The greens, parmesan, and aioli was one of the best I've had. Mom went for the gnocchi; Rooster goes for the Mezzaluna ravioli. This is now Rooster's fave restaurant. I went back to the appetizers section and selected the crab cake. Zero complaints on these dishes. Don't forget mom's wine. Gelato and cake to finish the meal. I think I've dined here once since my 2009 review. Yup, steak pics still accounted for on Yelp. Trattoria Lisina is still going strong in Driftwood. Expect $$$$, this meal was almost $300.
