The food was great! Drinks even better we ate a late lunch and then came back for karaoke that evening now that was a blast and the host of the karaoke was even better. That man could sing! Service was friendly and we met all kind of great people there was just a really good atmosphere and even when full the service was still really good! Highly recommend for a night out or a lunch!

Chicken Fried Ribeye... Burned to oblivion
Alethea A.

Holy Hell. I went here tonight and placed an order to go. It was OVER AN HOUR before I got my food. I watched order after order after order come out of the kitchen, but my order was still back there. I FINALLY got my order and I was so happy... Until I got home. I ordered the Chicken Fried Ribeye and it was so overcooked that it was inedible. The meat actually cracked apart when I put my fork in it. I was still optimistic that it was only that one piece that was cooked into oblivion, but sadly, I was wrong. I guess if you're going here for nachos or a drink then this is a good place to go. This was my very first time here and it will definitely be my last.

Catfish Thursday Special

Came here because saw the special on FB 2 thick pieces of catfish and they weren't thick it's like they split the filet. The special is 12.50 but for some reason they charged me an extra .50 cents for 2 sauces I only needed tartar. The fish was very good though and they give you a lot of fries. The hush puppies were just ok. The service was not good I sat at the bar and the bar tender this night never once checked up on me had to get a server for a refill and my check. All in all the place is fun, they have TVs to catch sports and different stuff going on during the week.

What a FUN place. Drink specials even on weekends. Staff super friendly and efficient. This can be a super busy place when packed out. The band was just fun too. Very into the audience. This a true casual place! Lots of TVs on the walls and clean pool tables. Can be very loud but still very chill. Food was excellent, was truly not expecting it to be so good. Drinks certainly not watered down. For a laid back fun time-this is it.

Can't really see bar lighting is terrible but food still stuck to my knife and fork.

First time here I went with several people. We got the chicken fried rib eye, two burgers, and the Philly cheesesteak and none of them were good at all. Too much salt. All meals were partially eaten and pushed to the side. 3 of our friends their food was never even put in to order we all got our food but them when we asked the waitress the paper we wrote our orders down got wet and they couldn't read it so they just threw it away. Wow! They didn't even bother to ask us nothing. There were only two bartenders and they were very busy for a Wednesday night. They were very much overwhelmed. Management needs to hire actual waitresses so the bartenders could actually bartend. They have a full food menu and you don't have any waitresses. You have to go up to the bar order and pick up your food while people are trying to order drinks at the bar. It's a terrible concept. The brunette bartender was rude as hell. The blonde she was amazing through out the chaos she kept smiling big and had a great attitude. The brunette look like she just needs to quit can't handle the heat get out the kitchen. Now the only thing that was good were the appetizers so maybe they should get rid of the full menu and just do appetizers. The music and atmosphere was good. Karaoke was good dj was good. Oh and my silverware was dirty as hell it still had food stuck to it. That ruined my meal from the get go.

Lived out here several years and finally stopped here. It's a fun spot, great wait staff so sweet to us, and wow I was shocked at how good the food was. Usually for bars you expect something frozen thrown in a microwave but you can tell this was all hand made from scratch and it was DELICIOUS. We will definitely be back

Go get the Philly Style loaded fries TODAY! You won't be sorry! Super casual, laidback environment, open air with draft beer and daily drink specials.

Sampler Platter with Fried Green Tomatoes, Fried Jalapeños & Fried Bacon. Oh My!!

Service & food were good on a late Saturday afternoon. Biggest downside was all the children...even had a kiddos birthday going on.

Nice atmosphere and food and service were great. They have live music too. We will definitely visit again the next time we visit Canyon Lake.

This place is awesome!!!…read more Capacity of about 6000 people so you're sure to get a good view of the stage. Over the years I've seen a lot of amazing acts here including Willie Nelson..... I think he loves this place because he plays here almost every year. It's pretty easy to grab a drink since they have a giant standing general admission area. I would try to get there a little bit early because sometimes there's a line and to check in to get in is really slow.

Getting to this venue isn't difficult but what is difficult is getting IN to the venue. Specifically, I had VIP parking but I still had to wait in a single lane to get into the parking lot for more more than 30 minutes. I literally missed the beginning of the show I was supposed to see because I was sitting in my car waiting for the police to direct the one lane of traffic to the general parking lot vs the venue parking lot. Once inside the venue, concert/event goers will see different lines for VIP check-in vs. regular check-in. As I was late to this concert and was VIP, I didn't necessarily have the same problems as the Yelpers who mentioned overly long waits to get in. Once I was in the venue, I went directly to the VIP suites that are located upstairs. The suite I was in had a bar right next to it, therefore when I requested food or drinks, the waitstafff came quickly as they were within earshot. Unlike others who mentioned long waits for service, I think it largely depends upon what tye of admission you are have (general, standing room vs. suite, vs. lower level seating). This is the first outdoor venue I've been to in Central Texas that has suites. It should also be noted that those who have suits also have thier own VIP bathrooms (not porta-potties). Therefore, my opinion of the seating, bathrooms and view of the event is probably slanted because of the type of access I had. *Here's a tip, if you have a membership to the golf course next door, you can sit and listen to the music for free* Once outside the suite, the general merchandise area and event merchandise area was fairly lackluster. Aside from the stereotypical astronomical prices, this section and selections was generally unimpressive. There appeared to be several food options from Texas Barbecue to Nachos with minimal wait for food offerings. The sound of the event was good but not great. This isn't a deal breaker for me as some of the performers had trouble with their equipment. Also for this event, I went to see Blues Travler and John had COVID so this wasn't the best showing for the group. There was another lead singer reading lyrics from a sheet and as everyone knows that no one can be John other than John Popper. I left this concert early as I wanted to avoid the same issue I had getting into the venue with the traffic. I am not sure based upon this showing that I would return to an event here.

Marina Magic with Minor Flaws…read more The Good: Breakwater delivers where it counts. The marina-side bar seating offers stunning waterfront views and prime people-watching. The fried redfish is exceptional--perfectly golden and flaky. The hush puppies are revelatory, possibly the best you'll find on the planet. Swirly Fries hit that perfect crispy-fluffy balance, and the Buffalo chicken sandwich brings serious flavor. The Not-So-Good: Skip the chicken wings--they're overfried and disappointing. More problematically, the patio fly situation is relentless. Bring your swatting skills or dine indoors. The Verdict: Despite minor kitchen missteps and pest control issues, Breakwater captures that magical combination of great food, killer views, and buzzing atmosphere. The hits far outweigh the misses, making this a marina gem worth visiting. 4/5 Stars - Exceptional waterfront dining with room for improvement.

First thing you notice when walking in is the eclectic atmosphere and funky furniture. The outdoor area is decorated with miscellaneous outdoor furniture pieces and the indoor decor is no different. Everyone at the bar (patrons and staff) are very friendly and happy to chat. Additionally, there were quite a few loose dogs which made it even more fun... I love the pups! We went inside to place our drink orders. My friend ordered a bud light (bottled as they have a limited draft menu) and I ordered a Dulce Vida Lime Tequila w/ Topo Chico & Lime. I had tried to order a few other items (like a Deep Eddy Lime Vodka w/ Diet Tonic but they were out of that liquor... and a bunch of other liquors). For the second round, I ended up ordering a Deep Eddy Cranberry Vodka w/ Topo Chico. The drinks I ordered are ones I have had before and somehow they didn't taste as good here, but they definitely weren't bad my any means. Plus, the bartenders were so nice that I wouldn't have complained. I loved that they had a popcorn machine, offered complimentary popcorn & peanuts, and had fun live music. This place was fun all around and would be great to bring a large group to! I would definitely go back with a group of friends - the whole ambiance is too fun not to.

This past weekend a large group of us came to float the river and from the moment we walked in, the customer service upstairs was rude and unprofessional. The girl with dark hair and glasses working the register was extremely nasty toward our group, even though there were barely any other customers there. At one point my brother turned to ask his fiancée a question about food, and she literally waved her fingers in his face saying "jingle jingle" asking if he had his parking pass. Later, while explaining the process for getting on the bus downstairs, she said, and I quote, "when you guys have your shit together." Completely unnecessary and disrespectful. The other short dark-haired girl taking food orders was not much friendlier. We had to repeat a very simple order multiple times -- just two hot dogs and chili tater tots -- and it still came out wrong. When we went back up, I simply said I'd just pay for the tater tots separately, and instead of helping, she dug through the receipts trying to prove we were wrong. At that point I didn't even care whose mistake it was; I just wanted to buy the food and move on. The only positive part of the experience was the staff downstairs. The ladies helping with parking and the girl helping air up tubes were all friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, between the rude service and the high prices, we won't be using Lone Star for float trips again, which is sad considering how much we used to enjoy coming here.
