I'm always pleasantly surprised with this place- it looks like it would only have fried pickles and chicken tenders but they have great food options and drinks. Holy Hell. I went here tonight and placed an order to go. It was OVER AN HOUR before I got my food. I watched order after order after order come out of the kitchen, but my order was still back there. I FINALLY got my order and I was so happy... Until I got home. I ordered the Chicken Fried Ribeye and it was so overcooked that it was inedible. The meat actually cracked apart when I put my fork in it. I was still optimistic that it was only that one piece that was cooked into oblivion, but sadly, I was wrong. Came here because saw the special on FB 2 thick pieces of catfish and they weren't thick it's like they split the filet. The special is 12.50 but for some reason they charged me an extra .50 cents for 2 sauces I only needed tartar. The fish was very good though and they give you a lot of fries. The hush puppies were just ok. The service was not good I sat at the bar and the bar tender this night never once checked up on me had to get a server for a refill and my check. All meals were partially eaten and pushed to the side. 3 of our friends their food was never even put in to order we all got our food but them when we asked the waitress the paper we wrote our orders down got wet and they couldn't read it so they just threw it away. Wow! They didn't even bother to ask us nothing. There were only two bartenders and they were very busy for a Wednesday night. They were very much overwhelmed. Management needs to hire actual waitresses so the bartenders could actually bartend. They have a full food menu and you don't have any waitresses. You have to go up to the bar order and pick up your food while people are trying to order drinks at the bar. It's a terrible concept. The brunette bartender was rude as hell. The blonde she was amazing through out the chaos she kept smiling big and had a great attitude. The brunette look like she just needs to quit can't handle the heat get out the kitchen. Hell to the yes! The food here is DELICIOUS, there's loads of it, and not even crazy expensive?! That's a triple threat combo! I knew we were going to be in the area last weekend so I looked into dining options ahead of time. One look at the menu at this place and I knew we had to go. I ordered the adult grilled cheese: three types of cheese on Texas toast with tomato, thin-sliced ham, AND bacon. Heaven! I would have never thought of a double-decker grilled cheese, so it was quite the surprise when they brought it out. Along with a heaping portion of utterly delicious fries. There was no way I was gonna get through it all without needing a to-go box, especially since I was saving myself for dessert to get the funnel cake fries. They were also generously heaped, plus a cup of molten dark chocolate. My partner helped me and we still couldn't finish them, so that came back home too, LOL. So yeah, I was really pleased with my meal. The place is very unassuming from the outside if you're just driving by. It looks like a run-down old red barn. And it probably was at one point, but the inside has been converted into a dining establishment. It's definitely not fancy on the inside either (though it leans into the whole "industrial" vibe that's so popular these days), but they have some fun colorful lighting and string lights too + a stage in the corner. Walk in and seat yourself at a table or up at the bar. They've got pool tables if you're into that. And they have live music and events (I saw an advertisement for a corn hole tourney) depending on what night you go. Looks to be a cool hangout for the local crowd. We chose to split an order of the Chicken Fried Ribeye Stack which consists of garlic mashed potatoes, battered ribeye strips smothered is a very tasty cream gravy. The portion size was plenty to share and from what we saw, portions were on the plentiful size. We topped that off with an order of cheesecake chimichangas which disappeared quickly! They have a full bar and live music at different times of the week as well as a Build your own Dam burger bar. Came here for dinner the other night while staying in Canyon Lake based on the Yelp reviews. I decided to try the Tips & Mash. It was decent but just average in my opinion. The tenderloin steak was seasoned well & moderately tender. It was also perfectly cooked medium well. The mashed potatoes were a bit watery in my opinion but tasted "ok", they almost reminded me of instant mashed potatoes that come in a box. The gravy was decent as well. We have been semi-regulars for a couple years, with two of our biggest deterrents being lack of a kitchen and not being open early enough on Sunday's to watch football. At the first of the year the kitchen opened and the food is excellent. I love the beef tips and mashed potatoes, as well as the chicken fried ribeye and a big juicy burger. Yuengling on tap is the icing on the cake. The staff are always friendly and they are definitely one of the main reasons we keep coming back. terrible!!!! the property owner was super rude and threatened to tow my car because he didn't like the way i pulled in. the entrance is at an angle, and my car is 3 inches off the ground so it got stuck on the slope and i needed to push the gas to get over, which he considered "aggressive" he was threatening, and called me a smart@ss for explaining why i needed to get over the slope and that i intended to go get lunch there. the property owner told me to go to the restaurant and he wouldnt tow me, but he just wanted money. says a lot about him. he's the bigger white dude in the white pickup truck btw. basically don't give this guy your business and be treated better literally anywhere else. read more

This place is amazing. They are super dog friendly and allow dogs inside. We took our malamute there for one last hoorah before he crosses the rainbow bridge.
