A friend and I recently drove out to That Place on Blanco to have a couple of drinks and grab a bite to eat at the food truck there. I think the name is hilarious because whenever you mention it to people, they ask "what place?" or ask for you to drop a pin for location since you can't figure out the name. First thing you notice when walking in is the eclectic atmosphere and funky furniture. The outdoor area is decorated with miscellaneous outdoor furniture pieces and the indoor decor is no different. Everyone at the bar (patrons and staff) are very friendly and happy to chat. Additionally, there were quite a few loose dogs which made it even more fun... I love the pups! We went inside to place our drink orders. My friend ordered a bud light (bottled as they have a limited draft menu) and I ordered a Dulce Vida Lime Tequila w/ Topo Chico & Lime. I had tried to order a few other items (like a Deep Eddy Lime Vodka w/ Diet Tonic but they were out of that liquor... and a bunch of other liquors). For the second round, I ended up ordering a Deep Eddy Cranberry Vodka w/ Topo Chico. The drinks I ordered are ones I have had before and somehow they didn't taste as good here, but they definitely weren't bad my any means. Plus, the bartenders were so nice that I wouldn't have complained. I loved that they had a popcorn machine, offered complimentary popcorn & peanuts, and had fun live music. Nice enough place, but the drinks are a bit over priced. $6 domestic. A bit ridiculous for a bar in the middle of nowhere. If you want something with more history, and better pricing, Luckenbach & Devils Den are much better locations with reasonable drink prices.​ read more

I absolutely love this place. The staff is amazing and friendly. You feel like home!!! I had the waygu burger and it was big and delicious. They also had live music. The musician was Mars Mezcal, he played acoustic guitar and played a variety of songs. I will definitely come back. read more

This place is awesome! From the atmosphere to the staff we have fun every time! They not only have great live music on weekends but also tasty food trucks, axe throwing (on some nights), and an outside bar plus more activities! Perfect for parties or if just you and your mom want to enjoy good cocktails and music. It has a huge outdoor seating area super rustic but chic that connects to the stage and outdoor bar. There's a children's playground and a mini dog area so good for all! This was an old house with land and they turned it into a bar. When you walk into the main building it has the main bar and 3 rooms. Each room is decorated in its own unique way. Super chill vibes and super homey. Everytime we have come here it has been such a welcoming experience and we definitely will make the trip to come see them again many times! read more

Suddenly I regret my other 5 star reviews. If I could give this place a 10, I would in a heartbeat. This is that place. They actually have a sign on the wall that says that. It is an inside and outside venue with full bar, live music and other events. The inside is amazing!!! Please come decorate my house! The owner, Randy, is gracious and fun. The staff is great, too (but don't tell Vince I actually said that). They have an awesome food truck and have REAL pizza inside. And it's excellent. This place is totally worth going out of your way for. We would have stayed there all day if our schedule allowed. read more

Wow this place is fun! Great place to hang out! Both inside and out. It is a really great outdoor area to dance to relax to eat. Very comfortable. Also has heaters for when it's a little cold at night and also fire pits that are spread out to the outside. When you go inside to be amazed at how amazing the decor is. It is very unique in all the rooms. So nice you want to get a picture in his room. The bar is great. Plenty of drinks that are well-made. Friendly owners. Highly recommended! How cute is this???? Wow!!! We stopped by for lunch and a drink on a weekday. Glancing at this place from the road doesn't do it justice! Super cute and eclectic beer garden under the oaks and a very homey inside bar area that looks more like your living room. Everyone was very welcoming. Food from the El Jefe food truck, Mexican Street food, was very good! Fresh and made to order. We will def be back for an evening with music! I have visited this place about 6 times now and each time the service is less. The owners have never owned a bar before so therefore are lacking in how to run a bar and the most important part, they play favorites to their clientele and they hire bartenders that are sadly lacking in customer service. read more
