My husband and I went this past weekend without a reservation. We were able to get a table, but it filled up pretty quickly while we were there and they have a sign that says reservations are required. We were seated quickly and had a very friendly waitress, who checked on us frequently during dinner. We sat in the main finding area, but they also had a bar section. I checked out the cocktail menu but decided I'm just ordering food we spit a pizza and it was plenty to share, and we had leftovers to take home. We got the El Paso Spicy and it was really unique and full of flavor. We both agreed we would order it again. Overall we had a pleasant experience. I would say prices are a little on the high side, with most cocktails around $14 or so. However, the food was solid and freshly made, but just something to be aware of. read more

Great atmosphere. Small little spot in Bulverde. We've been there 2 times. Once before the fire and then again after they rebuilt. The bar makes great drinks. We love the smoked bourbon. Prices are a bit high. Fairly casual atmosphere even though they claim it as a fancier restaurant. We have only been seated in area by bar. Can get really warm in there since AC isn't great. Also that room can get loud because of all the glass windows. We almost had to yell because of a table of 6 that was super loud and it echoed in there. As a vegan other than a salad I get the pizza with veggies but no cheese. Wife has gotten a steak and she was underwhelmed. We only go once a year maybe. Servers are always nice. read more

The ambiance was good and service was as well. Drinks were good. Few issues why I gave them 3 stars: 1) the wine we chose was listed and explained as a Cabernet Franc. We mistakenly assumed it was when served but when we looked at the bottle it was a Cabernet Sauvignon. Totally different taste. 2) the manager was not on site so the server had to contact them to tell them the issue with the wine. We technically should have had some money taken off the bill because the Franc is more expensive online. 3) Brussels Sprouts were bland 4) the cheese on the sliders was hard. I think it was grilled separately because all of the sliders had it. Would be willing to try one more time but I was told by others who have been that after COVID the food is not as good. read more

Great food and service! We had t been to Verde since they had rebuilt after the unfortunate fire a couple of years ago. The interior is so improved but still has its welcoming charm. We ordered the lamb meatballs as an appetizers. So delicious! My husband ordered the fiery Gambas (shrimp) and I ordered the Verde street tacos. Both dishes were delicious and came out fast. The service was amazing. As is their wine and cocktail list. We were well taken care of and everyone made us feel welcome and special. We will definitely be back. And we found out they allow dogs on their outdoor patio. So we may take our little dog with us sometime as well. If you haven't tried Verde you really need to! read more

I had a Appletinie, didn't taste like apple, I did care for, and my friend had another drink, and she didn't like it either. The food was quite good but the service not so much. We were there and gave 2 hours time before our tickets for a movie. Plenty of time. Most of our food came within an hour but our two pizzas did not. While inquiring was told they were accidentally burned and being remade. Another 1/2 hour still no pizzas. Finally I told them we could not wait any longer as we had a 29 minute drive to movie theater. All of a sudden pizzas came out as we were leaving. Had to get them to go. Thought because if their error would have at least given a 10 % discount to show they were indeed sorry for their error. No actually lady was mad we asked them them to go. Again all of our food on time was good. Pizza is good cold but 2 hours is too long a period of time for tacos and pizza. Restaurant so close being a resident here at Kinder Ranch so we're so hopeful. We had the outdoor patio all to ourselves. Happy hour is before 6pm and we made it. The Lavender Lemon Drop Martini for me and my brother's Brancott Blanc wine were both $2 off. The Hummus Plate was also on happy hour. My sister in love had the Berries Mezcal. We shared the Ahi Tuna Crisps, Bacon Wrapped Dates, Blistered Shishito Peppers and the Perfect Pear Pizza. The staff was friendly with very good service. We had the cast iron steak, pear pizza, street tacos, and a shrimp dish. The food was all excellent. Good choices for wine and cocktails. 0verall the food was good but here are my comments. Martin our waiter was courteous, well familiar with the menu, and had good recommendations. Patatas Bravas were soaked with the sauce which tasted like salty sriracha, not like any sauce I've had on patatas bravas before. The meatballs were large and tasty but the saltiness was a bit too much for my preference; maybe some bread on the side would have toned down the salty taste. We went to Verde for the first time after their fire. We had been regulars before the fire and ALWAYS had exceptional food. Last night was a disappointment. We went for my husbands birthday with friends. The ahi tuna crisps were amazing. We should have stopped there. Our aalmon was way overcooked and dried out. Our friends steak was way overcooked. Vegies were good. Drinks were ok, but you can tell that there is very little alcohol. So you are paying for the drink name, not the actual drink. It will be a while if we come back for dinner and drink. Definately come for appetizers and water. We also had feedback from our neighbor that they were disappointed with their food. read more
