I am so sad to say they are very slow. I saw male guests were helped quicker. You pay more here for better service but no. I never heard my song and my drink took atleast 30 minutes. Well stupid me to take so long to try out Shim Dig! The number of times we have sat at home wondering where to go for a quick drink and wanting to avoid chain restaurants- and this place was so close and we have been to the location multiple times when it was a different bar! Interior is really cool and they had gone all out with a fun Christmas look! Love the big wrap around bar, booths, outdoor patio and upstairs seating area! Full bar and they have Electric Jellyfish on tap so as an IPA lover that makes me happy! Fantastic service! My fiance and I decided to try this place the other day. I did not have any issue finding parking. We went in and seated ourselves. The server came to us very shortly after we were seated. I ordered a burger that was juicy and very good. This is only just a suggestion. The burger did come with tomato, and I don't believe this is mentioned on the menu. I went to the website just to double-check, and the description of the burger does not mention tomato. There is a picture of the burger on the website that shows it comes with tomato, but the menus in the restaurant don't have that picture. For me, this was not a big deal at all. I just took the tomato off. I was reminded though of a man that used to work with. He was allergic to tomato and would not be able to just take the tomato off. It might be a good idea to put full description of what is on the burger in the menu The restaurant was decorated with many signs that had quotes involving Shin Dig. I liked it, music was nice it was a little too bright for my liking and it wasn't exactly my scene but I appreciated the service and decor it was nice. This is more for like a coworkers go get a drink after work or maybe a double date in a chill environment. If I could rate this zero I would. Terrible service, and rude bartenders. Advertising "girl dinner" was such a let down. The Cesar salad was subpar, and the espresso martini was the worst one I've ever had: essentially instant coffee with vodka and the other cocktail drinks were incredibly expensive and poorly made. The ambiance was so confusing, almost club like decor but country music being played by the locals. I went with a friend and we were really looking forward to trying out the 'Girl Dinner Special' here, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. We waited about 45 minutes for our food, and only got it after repeatedly checking in with the staff. The drinks were not great, and they were served in the wrong glassware, and they tasted awful. To top it off, we were given plastic cutlery while everyone else had regular utensils. And to make matters worse, my friend found a hair in her food! When it was time to get the bill (bc we wanted to get out of there asap), the bartender also took a while getting us our tab and no discounts or apologies were given for our negative experience. New dark haired female manager is a real disappointment. Came in to boss the HH bartender around and have her open her Sparkling water but didn't say a single word to any customers at the bar. I've been in the service industry for over a decade, as a bartender, bar manager and GM. Have worked all around the country and this level of "service" is embarrassing. A manager should at least flash a smile while walking by, this is a regulars bar- the last manager knew all of the regulars and said hi to everyone. Time to find somewhere else to partake in adult beverages. The staff is now absolutely miserable and the bar is empty because of this new manager. Bad choice in management and changes. One of the best secrets in the north central area! When you search "bars" in Google, many times multiple bars are in the same area. Shin Dig weirdly stands by itself in the Encino Bluff area so its overlooked as you think its not worth driving another 5-10 minutes out of the area to a place that doesn't have much else around it. Don't pass this place up! Their food menu is made from scratch and everything taste great! The drinks are awesome, service is top notch, portions, prices for the food are fair and in this review it was on halloween and they decorated the whole place. Another thing I liked is they have a casual upstairs section, juke box and the place just feels clean and or high quality. This is my new favorite bar and I want to go here every weekend. read more

This place has a great lively atmosphere. It's fairly loud in the bottom half. We had a hazy IPA and an Old Fashioned, both were great. A cold beer is great on a hot day. The whole place is decorated with different quotes about people having a Shin Dig. My favorite was the one from the Red Hot chili peppers. I had the grilled chicken sandwich with fries, which was pretty good except for being a little tough in parts. My fiancé had a burger that he really enjoyed and said was incredibly juicy and delicious. When we were done, we took our drinks upstairs to a nice lounge area that they have up there. This lounge area has a bar however, it's only open if you reserve it for a private party. If you want though, you can take your drinks upstairs to enjoy the lounge. Just don't expect service upstairs you'll be on your own. However, that was fine with us because we had the whole upstairs to ourselves for about 30 minutes and it was very nice. There are TV monitors all around the walls, which makes it feel more like a sports bar, but the upstairs felt like a lounge. The food was good, the drinks were good, the service was friendly and fast, so we'll definitely be back. read more

Well dang. Shin Dig has been a go to place for me and my wife on Friday night date night. But I think I've paid my last visit to Shin Dig. The music has always been a bit loud, but ok and we could still talk. This evening at around 5:10 PM they had a DJ set up and start blasting dance music. At 5:15pm. We usually eat dinner and have several drinks, but with the Musi as loud as it was I couldn't stay too long so I asked for a check. When the check came they had upsold our drinks to premium brands for extra $$ which we had NOT asked for. This is at least the second time this has happened. We usually dropped at least $100 there for 2 people, but I don't appreciate being upsold without my consent. So I'm done with Shin Dig. read more
