We had a girl's night here on a Wednesday for their lady's dinner and it was so good!! It was a salad, truffle fries, and a martini for $20. They also had "singo bingo" where songs are played and you find them on your bingo card, SO FUN singing along while playing. The service is great and they always have a smile on their face! read more

The food was okay, not something I'd HAVE to go back for. My favorite part about the place was the ambience and the karaoke that was themed as a girl dinner. They must have a fly problem because they were all over our food and it was very annoying ... However, the service was OK. The girl that did the karaoke was honestly the one that made me truly enjoy my time there. read more

I am so sad to say they are very slow. I saw male guests were helped quicker. You pay more here for better service but no. I never heard my song and my drink took atleast 30 minutes. I had to wave them down like I was an air traffic controller lol. I ordered an old fashioned and it was done incorrect and overcharged. I will pay more for a good old fashioned. Up your game and help your female clientele. read more

Shin Dig - Full Monte will knock your socks off...strong but balanced well w those bitters - Lounges Near Me - San Antonio, Texas

Shindig is a decent place to catch a drink or have a snack. The servers are relatively friendly. The menu has some pretty delicious foods. They use to have craft in house cocktails but I guess they no longer have them - that would bump up the review for sure! Clean inside and good atmosphere. read more

We used to come here a few times a month, but after our latest visit probably won't come back very much except that it's close to our house. They changed the menu and removed some much loved items such as the giant pretzel appetizer. The meatball appetizer was not as good as before; it used to have a delicious marinara sauce that is now bland. The Caesar salad was made with the palest inner part of the lettuce and had very few shavings of parmesan and those were dried out. Very unappealing. The shrimp were much smaller. I'm guessing a change in management and/or kitchen staff is trying to cut costs. They used to be very proud of their "scratch-made kitchen" but now ShinDig seems to just want to promote themselves as a bar with girls in skimpy outfits. Not the cool neighborhood bar vibe it used to have. read more

Well stupid me to take so long to try out Shim Dig! The number of times we have sat at home wondering where to go for a quick drink and wanting to avoid chain restaurants- and this place was so close and we have been to the location multiple times when it was a different bar! Interior is really cool and they had gone all out with a fun Christmas look! Love the big wrap around bar, booths, outdoor patio and upstairs seating area! Full bar and they have Electric Jellyfish on tap so as an IPA lover that makes me happy! Fantastic service! Met the manager ( o am bad with names so sorry that I managed to forget already) but he was a great guy! Will return here many more times! read more

Great food and excellent service! I was surprised how good the menu was for a strip mall bar & restaurant.

Been coming for years. but lately my man and I go and sit at the bar. We love sharing a chicken Cesar salad and a pepperoni pizza! Amy is the best and always friendly and attentive! read more

My fiance and I decided to try this place the other day. I did not have any issue finding parking. We went in and seated ourselves. The server came to us very shortly after we were seated. I ordered a burger that was juicy and very good. This is only just a suggestion. The burger did come with tomato, and I don't believe this is mentioned on the menu. I went to the website just to double-check, and the description of the burger does not mention tomato. There is a picture of the burger on the website that shows it comes with tomato, but the menus in the restaurant don't have that picture. For me, this was not a big deal at all. I just took the tomato off. I was reminded though of a man that used to work with. He was allergic to tomato and would not be able to just take the tomato off. It might be a good idea to put full description of what is on the burger in the menu The restaurant was decorated with many signs that had quotes involving Shin Dig. There were also a lot of TVs with sports on. I absolutely suggest this place for good food, good drinks and good service. read more

Bella is beyond perfect! OBSESSED w her energy & quick service! Shes the reason I always come!

I liked it, music was nice it was a little too bright for my liking and it wasn't exactly my scene but I appreciated the service and decor it was nice. This is more for like a coworkers go get a drink after work or maybe a double date in a chill environment. A bit pricey in a way but in this economy I'd say it's perfectly priced for the area and how cute it is. The food looked good (didn't get any but I saw others eating pizza) and cocktails were tasty! Would come back again with friends :) read more

Food: The food was super tasty!!! We got the pizza recommended by the bar tender. Service: was a bit slow for having just a few tables. However, our bar tender was super personable and friendly. Ambiance: It's living up to its name and has everything necessary to be the next Big Thing! read more

Bartender never came to me for drink or welcome or ..... place is lame I walked out Even waived by to the girl who smiled and waived back. It's because I gave her a one dollar tip last time for bringing me one beer. And no tax on tips now lol the place sucks and so does the bartender, how dare her. Get a real job for gods sake cause you suck at the one you have. Good luck thou I won't be back. And my bad news travels faster then yours ha. The Roo sucks also if it matters Imagine that both run by same folks both earned 1 star. Buyer beware read more

If I could rate this zero I would. Terrible service, and rude bartenders. Advertising "girl dinner" was such a let down. The Cesar salad was subpar, and the espresso martini was the worst one I've ever had: essentially instant coffee with vodka and the other cocktail drinks were incredibly expensive and poorly made. The ambiance was so confusing, almost club like decor but country music being played by the locals. There was minimal to no seating, and bingo going on at the same time as the advertised girl dinner. lastly the AMI jukebox wasn't operational. read more

I went with a friend and we were really looking forward to trying out the 'Girl Dinner Special' here, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. We waited about 45 minutes for our food, and only got it after repeatedly checking in with the staff. The drinks were not great, and they were served in the wrong glassware, and they tasted awful. To top it off, we were given plastic cutlery while everyone else had regular utensils. And to make matters worse, my friend found a hair in her food! When it was time to get the bill (bc we wanted to get out of there asap), the bartender also took a while getting us our tab and no discounts or apologies were given for our negative experience. Overall, it was not the experience we were hoping for and we are definitely not coming back. We will be urging our friends not to waste their time/money too. read more

Crispy crust pizza with meats and lumpia were decent. I liked the crust, but it was a little hard to eat with newly tightened braces. Service was not the most attentive. Maybe they didn't expect it to be that busy on a Friday at 5pm. The bar area was almost completely full. There is outdoor seating. I wonder if they allow dogs on the patio. They play music videos on a couple of the screens. read more

This place is a hidden gem. Their food is amazing, their service is equally great! I recommend the grilled cheese and tomato soup, or the pepperoni pizza, OR the burger! This bar is the ultimate respite. If Jeremy is on duty, surely ask him for his take on the old fashioned, or the espresso martini. If he's not on duty, all is well. I'm sure you're in good hands They always have the best playlist going and treat all their patrons beyond well. read more

This place really seems like a cool spot to drink at, but i was disappointed in the food service. I ordered the wings & lumpia. Both came out real cold. The bloody mary was sour after i asked for it to be spicy. The bartender was real sweet & had a great upbeat vibe. Overall, I threw away $50. read more

Trendy and hip bar with great food, a perfect combination. We had strip steak, which was as good as any steak I've had at a steakhouse! The meatballs were moist with a nice peppery kick. Consistently poor service and unfriendly staff. what a waste of a great location. Go to stout house in stone oak or 54th if you want attentive service with a smile read more

One of the best secrets in the north central area! When you search "bars" in Google, many times multiple bars are in the same area. Shin Dig weirdly stands by itself in the Encino Bluff area so its overlooked as you think its not worth driving another 5-10 minutes out of the area to a place that doesn't have much else around it. Don't pass this place up! Their food menu is made from scratch and everything taste great! The drinks are awesome, service is top notch, portions, prices for the food are fair and in this review it was on halloween and they decorated the whole place. Another thing I liked is they have a casual upstairs section, juke box and the place just feels clean and or high quality. This is my new favorite bar and I want to go here every weekend. read more

New dark haired female manager is a real disappointment. Came in to boss the HH bartender around and have her open her Sparkling water but didn't say a single word to any customers at the bar. I've been in the service industry for over a decade, as a bartender, bar manager and GM. Have worked all around the country and this level of "service" is embarrassing. A manager should at least flash a smile while walking by, this is a regulars bar- the last manager knew all of the regulars and said hi to everyone. Time to find somewhere else to partake in adult beverages. The staff is now absolutely miserable and the bar is empty because of this new manager. Bad choice in management and changes. Don't see this place lasting longer if they don't change something again- and fast. read more

Came for some eats and libations. Loved the ambiance 1st of all. Very cool atmosphere, very clean, and really enjoyed the garage like doors upon entrance. As someone who can make lumpia at home, I can say these were a nice surprise to see on the menu. Followed it worth a Caesar salad and Margherita pizza. Perfect thing crust and loved the balsamic drizzle! The food was really good. I ordered cucumber martinis. Honestly a little less desirable. I really could have gone for more of thay cucumber flavor. It was definitely strong on the vodka. Had to squeeze some lemon in it to give it flavor. I would definitely go back and try a different drink but at the least would go back for their yummy food. read more

5 of us visited Shin Dig on a Saturday evening. The we ordered a variety of drinks but our favorites were the "You put the lime in the coconut" and the old fashioned. Everything we ordered was good. The only thing that didn't get eaten was a pizza that was not prepared as requested but they did not charge us for it but it was still good. This is the only reason I don't give them 5 stars. My good the grilled cheese and tomato soup was ‍. The service was good. Our server answered all of our questions and was very patient and nice. The ambiance was good too.
