Is this a hidden gem? It's a gem for sure and don't know that it's advertised. I also like that the beach vibes are throughout the space but it's more of a decor choice and not overall theme. Creates a good dive. Staff is always 10-stars. Legitimately, if you told me each staff member had ownership in the Oasis, I'd believe you. They're not welcoming, fun, consistent with the drinks and add to the experience. Once the weekend approaches I anticipate getting an old fashioned here. The first time I ordered one my expectations were mid, because why would a beach themed lounge have anything except Mai Tai's, hurricane, blue hawaiians, etc? Well, old fashions, margaritas and palomas are all hits. You can also bring your own food in, which might seem like an inconvenience but I think not having a kitchen helps with pricing. Always look forward to coming back to Oasis Lounge!! 1-star off: (2) single occupancy bathrooms for men and women. Once that seal is broken, this becomes an issue quickly. went to Oasis on January 13. Got there around 10:30 PM and immediately put my name down for karaoke. She told me there was about 9 people in front of me. I expected maybe 45 minutes until it was my turn. After an hour passed, the karaoke lady continued bringing up the same group of people to sing. When an hour and a half passed, I asked how many people till it was my turn. She said 4. 4 people went, and she still continued calling names of people from the group sitting up front. I ended up leaving after 2 hours of waiting. Her and the other karaoke lady were definitely playing favorites. Just disappointed as I had never seen them 2 running the karaoke booth and when they do, it's unfair. read more

What better way to celebrate Fiesta than with Mexican candy shots....WOOT WOOT! We walked in to a smiling bartendar who got to us rather quickly even with a full bar. I ordered a Mexican candy shot (not for the faint of heart) and a cherry vodka sour and both were mixed to perfection. I can tell this is a place where regulars hang and stay for awhile..which is always a good feeling. I enjoyed the great mix of music on the jukebox and the patio area was cozy. read more

Great dive bar at the end of the Embassy Oaks row. They have a variety of cheap beers, and some really nice ones too! They've got Lone Star and Sculpin. Good stuff! They offer darts, and foosball! There aren't many bars around SA that offer the foos, but you can ball your foos! They've got a number of other video games there. Yay for Golden Tee! They have a nice outdoors patio with plenty of shaded seating. Awesome! I love the decor here. It's island meets alcohol. The bartenders are super fun and really helpful and fast. There's plenty of action here on the weekend, and it's really worth checking out. My only complaint is that the bathroom door doesn't lock. They don't serve any food, but there's plenty of places in the shopping center that you can grab something to go. read more

Brian the Bartender made us feel at home in his little tikki/surfer bar. Located in the Embassy Oaks area, this corner bar stands it's ground against the other bars down that strip. We didn't take advantage of the $2.75 u-call-its but they have daily drink specials that are pretty good too. read more

Beau is the best bartender here, courteous staff, plays by the rules, everyone gets carded. Went last night, 1st waitress was kool... then the second waitress came... WOW. She's talking to some old folks next to me, my glass is empty.. I wait till she stops socializing, then she serves another person... I'm like, ok, maybe she didn't see me... then gives a glass of water to someone else, walks right in front of me to get something... turns to serve someone else., this goes on a couple more times... I swear,I didn't do anything to anyone... my buddy is on the other side of the bar and he's wondering what's up... he tells her "can u serve him, he's been waiting" .. by then, I just say "close me out"... Make no mistake, this isn't some fancy night club, they don't have mixologists making weird fancy drinks, and there's no VIP lounge for people who think they're better than everyone else to isolate themselves from the riff raff. This is a pretty standard dive bar that generally plays good music (to me anyway), really laid back environment to chill and have a few drinks. Prices are great and especially on Thursdays are $3 you call it during Happy Hour. It's one of my go to bars, since I can get there from work in like a minute for happy hour. read more

I like dive bars. I would classify Oasis as a dive bar. There's plenty of regulars, plenty of drunkies, plenty of game players and a really awesome outdoor patio area (much better than the neighboring bars patios). I love Oasis, it is a cheap dive bar without a doubt and that's what I love about it. There are no pretenses or pomp. The specials are always good, and the bartenders are more attentive than most other places. I come pretty often and been coming for about 7-8 year on a more or less regular basis. I also work in the service industry and if I were to treat guests the way your bartender treated me, I would be fired on the spot.
