The place is self serve which I was surprised especially with the prices. The hamburger was just okay. The chili was just okay too. It was thin broth. The chicken sandwich was ok. Sad beer choices. Ran out of the tallboy beer. Loud with open air seating. The open air was nice but the wood picnic tables not so great. We did water served to us but we waited on ourselves. I love this place! The bbq salad is really good! The kids food is excellent, especially the fish sticks. The best part about this place is the staff! Everyone is sweet to my kiddos (this is their favorite place to eat). This place is cool because u can have large groups of people eat and there usually isn't a wait. read more

Service was great here. The staff was so friendly and very helpful. The food was okay. My friend got the burger and I tried it. Just an average burger to be honest. I ordered the half smoked chicken but what I got was fried chicken. Maybe they ran out but a heads up would have been nice. I had to scrape off the breading so I lost all of the sauce that was on the chicken. The restaurant was nice and what you would expect from a bar like setting. read more

Everything was meh. The people were kind though! Every single one of them... sweet as pie. Blistered Poblanos: blistered, where? Also... half of a poblano for $9 bucks and some pieces not hot/warm is a bust. Cashew dip was a weird consistency and just feels like it was thought of and half way executed. Industry Bowl: garlic rice, no. Just bland and not something I'll order again. The greens were fresh and I give them that! read more

The food and service were both amazing! My husband had the brisket tacos which came w chips and salsa. The tacos were flavorful and a great size. The salsa had SO much flavor and the perfect amount of spice. I love spice! We shared the blackberry wings, which came out hot and fresh. They started sweet and ended with a nice kick. I had the Indistry bowl with diced chicken. It was huge, and like everything else, delicious. My favorite part was the Brussels sprouts. We definitely will be back again! read more

Dropped in when visiting family and chose this casual, no frills spot with a large parking lot and plenty of open seating. Because it was the weekend, their brunch menu was on (along with the regular food menu) and they had mimosa specials. Service is very casual but friendly - you can either order on your phone via the QR code, go up to the counter to order/start a tab, or just hang out. Overall the food was decent but nothing special. The menu does have a wide variety of items, though, so there's something for everyone! QUICK FACTS: - Parking? Yes, ample spaces in a large lot. - Reservations? No, a very casual restaurant. Just walk in, seat yourself, or sit at the bar! - Happy hour/deals? There are daily deals on alcoholic beverages and weekday happy hour is from 3-6pm. FOOD RATINGS: - Green chile queso (3/5): Chips were good. Queso was flavorful but almost a little too thick and salty. We tried out Industry last night. Setting is nice - it was a little loud inside. We sat outside on the patio and the weather was perfect. We shared the nachos and catfish. Both were delicious. The green sauce on the nachos was really HOT - be prepared. We had drinks - a Pilsner and a frozen drink - pre (something). Food came out quickly and stay was friendly. Our only problem was they charged us $3 to add avocado to the nachos and barely put one little slice cut into five small pieces on it. read more

We met some local friends here for lunch and we sat outside, which was amazing as they all had umbrellas for shade. It was so easy if you wanted to order from the table with the QR code on the table and we did that, however our friends went up to the bar to order and each experience was quick and easy. We had the burrito with brisket and the eggs Mexican style not quite sure what the name of that dish was our friends had catfish and burgers. Everything was so beautiful to look at it and it was wonderful tasting. The fish had a great crust on it. It was crispy and the size of it took up his entire plate. My husband said his burrito was amazing and he would order that again. My eggs was really good with the Mexican spices and everything however, after looking at the catfish, I think next time I would have ordered that. Really enjoyed this spot. The beer was on point -- they've got a rotating draft selection that changes weekly, which keeps things interesting. Live music gave it a great vibe without being too loud, and the whole atmosphere is relaxed but lively. Prices are solid, the menu is on a QR code (easy and modern), and parking was actually pretty good. It's one of those places you just want to hang out at a little longer. I'll definitely be back. amazing food!! ive been here a few times with friends since attending txst. very open and spacious, good seating and cleanly. the bathrooms also have chalk boards where people leave messages on the walls and i think thats adorable and unique. my only reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the food does take a while to come out, but service, taste and vibes make up for it read more

Decided to get something after hitting the Outlet mall and this place seemed worth checking out in San Marcos. It's got a New American vibe, with a menu of American/Asian fusion mixed with a Whiskey bar. We got pork belly, roasted kale and fries - everything was very nicely cooked and came out pretty quickly. They unfortunately couldn't make the drink that I ordered and the server wasn't very knowledgeable but they remediated with something else, so that was nice. We'd probably go again if we're in San Macros and it's a good location, close to downtown and some other bars. read more

I wasn't told about this establishment, rather I happened upon it while meandering about aimlessly on a Saturday afternoon in April. All the other bars at 2am seemed dead, so I saw the sign and decided to ascend the "stairway to drinks" in the easily overlooked front entrance. After hitting the top of the stairs, the place opens up to a very interesting experience. There are two main covered areas, a thought to keep in mind as it was rigorously sprinkling when I visited. First there's a well-stocked open bar area under a makeshift roof with TVs there to grab the attention if the phone isn't working. Sorry, that's a pet peeve of mine as so many people go out nowadays to bars and sit on a phone rather than socialize. What's the point!? Ok, lets get back to the review shall we? While the bar has a 270 degree seating area, there are some open tables without a roof. This yields to the largest area with a shack like roof covering picknick tables, benches all not exactly the most comfortable seating but cozy nonetheless. The fellow patrons were extremely nice and represented all spectrums of life. As for the drinks the bartender was extremely helpful in suggesting drinks of the day while being fast in severing over 30 people by himself. Kudos to slinging suds at a lightspeed pace. I don't fault the establishment for only having one person scheduled as 2pm isn't normally busy but when an impromptu bridal shower shows up, Shade showed out (meaning they handled it well)! My bourbon cocktail was perfectly balanced while their special drinks weren't overpowering yet had enough alcohol to kick start a motor into 5th gear after sitting idle for too long. Overall, I love this joint as it's everything one could realistically want in a bar. Even though their cocktails varieties are somewhat limited, sorry I wasn't ordering a "pickle-rita" they're very good and reasonably priced. The view is great no matter where which seat is selected and the people are fun and delightful. I highly suggest giving this place a shot as it checks all the boxes on an impromptu list. The only pause would be if it's raining hard, let it end before heading up the stairs.

Now for the bad or what needs to improve. The Porch used to have a nice outside 'porch' area with nice chairs and even porch swings. That I always felt was the selling point of this place as when sitting outside i would constantly hear passers by comment on the swings and even come in to sit on them. These have been replaced by very cheap metal chairs most of which are broken now and for some reason an elevated table with barstools which isn't in the porch motif. The interior used to have nice comfortable couches and chairs but pool tables have replaced those. Its fine I mean business change with new owners but it lost a little of what it was. I would be fine with all of that, except the outdoor chairs, if it wasn't so hot inside. The AC barely works if at all and half of the fans do not work so there is no air circulation and in Texas during the summer you want a nice cool place to relax. They need to fix the fans, cool off the interior and put some fans on the exterior. In the spring time, fall and winter its a great place to hang out, but until they fix the summer issues, I can't say. It is better than when they tried to be a disco club during the pandemic lol.

I noticed all the bartenders were at the end of the bar laughing and joking so I left. As I'm walking out they walk out with my purse. Everything was there but my wallet with $100 cash, a vintage heart locket necklace, my debit and credit cards and my student ID was definitely stolen. When I tried to act upset about it they harassed me, laughed at me and shined a bright flashlight in my face. Not sure if it was the bartenders or another customer but they just handled the situation horribly, will not be coming back.

Bouncers have developed a reputation for taking ids and only returning them for a cash fee. My…read moredaughter's real, government issued id was taken and they wouldn't return it without another proof of id. (Which of course she didn't carry much with her when going out.) They claimed not to believe she was as tall as her id stated. Police were called, but it was going to be a while before they would arrive. They did this to several women while she stood there waiting for the police. One paid $70 to get her id back. My daughter's friend paid $40 to get it back and be done with the situation. I am livid at the fact that these guys would take advantage of potential customers and blackmail them for extra cash! Management needs to know the scam the door guys are working.

They're kid-friendly up until 8pm and had 18 creative putt putt holes at $15 per person. Along with mini-golf, there's table tennis, yard games, a pool table and see saw. I didn't see any food on-site, but they have a full bar with daily drink specials. You could easily spend several hours here with family and friends alike. Definitely check them out if you're considering it!

To begin with, the atmosphere is fantastic, and my photo does not do the cuisine credit. It's a terrific venue to meet up with friends and impress visitors from other cities. It's a very nice environment with no drama or brawls. It's quite trendy! The bathrooms are spotless, and the bartenders are kind. That being said, two things: the tacos aren't excellent; they're your usual hipster; let's replace them with something with a hipster twist and charge ten times more. It's a hipster thing to do. The uneven surfaces where the green synthetic grass meets the pavement by the bench seating area are my major gripe. My wife fell down because of the way the table and bench are connected. read more

Just had my first ever experience at this spot and wow, it was a good one. I decided to try their pimento cheese BLT, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The flavors were absolutely amazing and the sandwich was cooked to perfection. Beyond the fantastic food, the staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly. The whole vibe of the place was just really fun and laid-back. I'm already planning my next visit to try more of their menu. Seriously, if you're looking for a great meal and a good time, you've gotta check this place out. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for some delicious eats. read more

First time here but very welcoming, open space seating and very clean. We ordered the nacho shareable with chicken on top and it was absolutely delicious. The chips were nice and crunchy not soggy throughout eating. I also ordered the Industrial burger and that definitely was a favorite for sure, I ordered it with fries on the side instead of the chips and those were also really good. Our server was also super helpful in suggesting recommendations and they did not disappoint. 10/10 would definitely go again to experience the other day events they have written on the chalk board. read more

I always have the best food here! This trip I had the Mac and cheese app and the green Chile chicken wrap. So good! It also came with a little side of cold bean salad that was really good as well. I love that they always throw in a "chef chosen" side with the entrees. I'm writing about this particular trip cause there was one girl that was working, Sammy, that ran my food and was incredibly nice. She had lots of knowledge of the menu, management and passion behind the restaurant. I'll definitely be back to try the burger. read more
