Ive tried to give Zelicks a few tries but every time im there im always waiting over 10 minutes at the bar for someone to finally get to me. Went there during earth day celebrations going on around town, I was standing at the bar ready to place my order for over 15 minutes until the bar back finally told the bartenders something. Its a beautiful atmosphere and environment, just wish the service was unbiased. read more

Stopped here after some pre-Halloween fun and it was great! Good service from the staff and great food & drinks. They had a vendor market going on that Sunday evening, so we browsed with our drinks while we waited for our food. Ambiance was chill with a lot of different seating areas to choose from. read more

I love this place, the staff is always so nice. The drinks are always amazing. I love that they have this little food truck. That makes really good quesadillas, and any other thing that they offer. Even on Sundays. They give you free slices of pizza at One Point. Sometimes they have Javi live music, all ages attend. I love their outdoor seating. My wife and I picked up our son and daughter in law in New Braunfels to go for lunch in San Marcos. After a delicious Indian lunch, we decided to walk next door for cocktails at Zelicks. The venue is in an old service station. They have the huge garage doors open, so you are pretty much in fresh air the whole time you're there. It was really pleasant today, with a nice breeze blowing. They have a huge bar with probably every kind of liquor you could ask for. I had a Shiner Rodeo Golden Brew non-alcoholic beer. I liked it at first, but after a while, it just tasted a bit like club soda and I didn't finish it. It was nice to have a beer in my hand, just the same. I didn't even notice what the others had, except my daughter in law, who, like me, does not drink. Her reason is pregnancy. Mine is medications that don't play nice with alcohol. We sat outside listening to the music and enjoying a nice conversation about our soon to be born grandson. Then the UT football game came on. The music got turned off and was replaced by overly loud audio for the game. It also started getting a little crowded, so we left to find another drinking establishment. I really liked this place. It would be a perfect hangout to just waste time in the afternoon before the crowds come. This restored old gas station serves as the backdrop for a really great bar that offers several seating areas under the beautiful shade trees on the property. Cool vibes, fun outdoor bar, and great drinks! It was a really hot day but luckily there was plenty of shade in the outdoor patio. The frozen margaritas were great and only 5 bucks! Zelicks is in a cute little area with interesting architecture. I definitely want to go back to stroll around the neighborhood before checking out the songwriters night. My opinion of Zelicks has completely been changed today. I will not be going back. I had a woman body slamming me hard 3 times, with witnesses, and when management was informed they wouldn't do anything but offer to change our seats. No repercussions for people physically abusing their patrons. It's completely unacceptable. read more

My friends, family and myself have been coming here for years and have had a few bad experiences, but none like what we had today. I've never left a $0 tip in my life but today I had the displeasure of ordering food and waiting OVER TWO HOURS FOR IT. My fiancée and I watched people that showed up after us be served their food over and over again... finally someone sitting near us acknowledged our shock and went out of his way to say that he had ordered his food an hour after we had (of course while eating his steak). At that point I finally got up and said something. We tried to be patient and understanding but I can't emphasize in words how upset I am with this experience. By the way, the food they advertise is not even remotely close to what you're going to be served Several members of the staff (including the guy who runs the food truck) were aware of how weird the situation was but no effort for me to make us feel any better about it. Finally caught Steak Night at Zelick's! My college-aged daughter has raved about this place for months and it did not disappoint. First of all, service from the door, to the bar, to the patio was attentive and accommodating despite the 50* temperature! They brought heaters so we could be comfortable. Been coming to San Marcus more recently and this has been one of my favorite places to go and have a drink and just chill. I love the location, it's not too far from the square , but far enough that you can find parking more easily than at the square lol. Extensive drink menu, cheap drinks, pretty big outdoor area. Lots of tables and chairs. Bathrooms are clean enough. Bartenders here are always real sweet, attentive, and quick. Definitely recommend coming by here to have a beer or four ! read more

My favorite hangout bar for casual day drinking and hanging with friends ! Always something going on from live music , art displays , to crawfish boils! They have happy hour everyday from 2-7 ( and all day on Sunday) which include a big 4$ strawberry margarita that I could dieeee for! If you are under 21 you can't stay past 7 which has always been a little upsetting considering some of my friends are underage and they are very strict about it , but still one of my favorite bars on the square . read more
