What a vibe. Got a compliment on my shirt as soon as I walked inside. Scott was groovy and the reason for this endorse We talked about bands and he let me borrow his disks for the DOPE putting course. Beer was great, live music was chill. A perfect combo of brews and Food to Get our fill

We stopped in at Middleton Brewing thanks to Barks for Beers. Nice place in San Marcos, thanks to Barks for getting us out to visit breweries we might have missed. We had a very tasty IPA, the Crossroads. For Memorial Day they even provided hot dogs and chips, nice touch. The bar is very cozy and welcoming. They have outside seating along with a taco truck. Nice place! Support small business like this!

This little brewery is deep in San Marcos. It is cutely decorated with rustic touches and succulents, and the bathrooms are refreshingly clean. They have a big porch downstairs and a spiral staircase leading to an uncovered rooftop that will be very punishing this summer. The smiling beer tenders make sure the popcorn machine is ready for your snacking needs, and a food truck out front is available if you need more. The beer isn't bad, either. There were 5 of us, so we all tried each other's. I liked the Crossvines IPA the best. I'd stop by for another if I were back in town and give the place a longer stay.

Great family and pet friendly brewery. Very large with plenty of indoor or outdoor beer garden seating. I ordered a flight, to try all their beers. Their craft beer isn't the best I've had in Texas. Their beer tasted watered down. But the ambiance made up for the taste. The server behind the counter was very nice and friendly, walking me through the various beer selections that they carry. They have a complementary popcorn station. We got some food from the food truck outside.

This is perfectly tucked away in the hill country and the spot to spend an afternoon relaxing with friends. My sister and I did a sampler of every beer they had. There was maybe one we didn't love (jalapeño). Solid offerings and very well priced for a flight. They also have to go offerings. They have a food truck outside too, we didn't try it but it smelled good. The patio wasn't overly full but it was obvious there were regulars there. I'm glad we chose to stop in and check it out. Due to distance it's not a frequent spot but I'll definitely take out of town visitors there for a day drive.

This brewery was about 2 mins drive from Roughhouse. They have comfortable seating, live music, food trucks, selection of beers, and free pop corn! We loved the micheladas and the cozy atmosphere!

This place got wonderful beers and my favorite was also the Los sancho food truck that's right outside. Great food. Hands down. The lady is so wonderful. The place is nice, easily accessible from the highway. And very clean and has a great vibe to it. Kids loved the food and I loved the beers and the food.

Had a pint of their Juicy Visions NE IPA, which was pretty good! Location has good ambience inside, and a nice outdoor space weather permitting.

A LOT of outdoor space, and dog-friendly

Beer seems to be hit or miss. But overall it's a great atmosphere, dog friendly (even fenced areas for them to roam). The road is sort of loud, but it's a nice and relaxing atmosphere. The food truck is incredible! The burgers are great and the tots are extra crispy and perfect!

    Cat on the bar

I'm going to get this out of the way real quick. There was a cat walking around on the bar. Yes, you heard me. ON THE BAR. I knew it was a dog friendly place, but come on - a cat ON the bar? It even walked over to my side of the bar, sat down, put its leg behind its head like cats do, and then proceeded to lick its butt in front of me. Hey cat, I'm really impressed that you can do that, but you're not getting a tip from me. The staff member that it belonged to shooed it away, but it stayed on the bar. Subtract one star for this show. Next up: As I said, it's dog friendly. VERY dog friendly. There were two dogs belonging to customers roaming around freely inside the place. A third dog was on a leash, but it kept barking at the other dogs. This wasn't outside on the patio, this was all inside. When I go somewhere to hang out and relax, I don't want to deal with barking dogs (in my book, it's akin to bringing screaming kids into a bar). Subtract one star for letting the dogs inside. Keep the cats and dogs *outside* and this would be a five star brewery to chillax at. Beer: They have a decent selection of brews and like most breweries, they have some permanent ones and some seasonals that rotate in and out. They have five or six store bought wines available. Staff: VERY knowledgeable about their beer and can suggest something for you once you describe your taste palette to them. Food: The food truck out front is permanently hitched up here, the one in the back changes occasionally. Plenty of seating inside and outside, there's even a spacious deck on the second floor. Growler refills are $14 and crowlers are $9.40 (buy three crowlers and get 10 percent off). If your selection is over 8 percent ABV, additional charges may apply. One more note about the dogs and I'll put this puppy to bed. There's a fenced off area downstairs to let your dogs run rampant in - put them in there instead of bringing them inside - or better yet, leave them at home. This whole thing with people bringing their dogs everywhere is getting out of hand. I was going to give them two solid stars, but now that I think about it, if they let cats run back and forth across their bars, how clean is their brewing process? It's a cool place with good brews, and I want to like it, but when I think about the animals everywhere, I think twice about what might be in the beer.

Loved it here! Dogs approved too! Hubs had the Pepperhead IPA- heavy jalapeño notes and their Hazey IPA, Easy Rider. Was super smooth and sooo good. Scott was super friendly and really helpful!

The bartender who waited on us was so so sweet and friendly. We felt very welcomed. We got a flight which I felt was very reasonably priced and tried 5 different beers. Now I'm no beer connoisseur by any means, so I won't even bother rating the beers. For someone who likes beer but doesn't necessarily like anything super strong or any craft beers for that matter, the amber we tried suited me perfectly. This is definitely a cool facility with the rooftop deck and plenty of seating. It just so happened to be FREEZING when we were enjoying our time on the roof. This was overall a great experience.

Middleton is a must if you're stopping by or even in the general area. We were driving from Wimberley (a fun day at Jacob's Well) towards the San Marcos outlets, and had to double back even to come to Middleton! We were so glad we did. My bf even walked out with their peach crowler...just a warning though, bring a cooler of some sort so it doesn't explode in your car with the heat! Totally speaking from personal experience, sadly. We shared two rounds of tasters, which come with 5 different selections. So come with friends and try them all! You'll be surprised at how delicious they all are. Middleton is also HEAVEN for Belgian lovers. Good thing we love Belgians. Little did I know that a microbrew outside of Austin would be a great place for craft Belgians. I'm an all-around beer lover--everything except saisons, NE pale ales, and lagers, whereas the bf is a Belgian enthusiast. He always goes for Belgians. So you can imagine why we decided to get a taste of everything Belgian. I also enjoyed their Easy Ride PA, but was not a fan of the chile IPA (to each their own). It was almost impossible for me to compare and contrast the beer quality to the all-around atmosphere of the place. It oozes joy and love--they have brew dogs (and customers can bring doges too) who basically just lie around and nap, PLUS they have popcorn that is self-serve from those tiny machines that you see in Disneyland and other carnival events. Will definitely be back to Middleton. Clean restrooms, and large space indoors for bigger groups (WITH TV's!) and cool fun outdoors games like human jenga outside. There is plenty of parking in their private loose, gravel parking area, and they had a food truck parked right outside. Awesome spot, great beer, fantastic space!

The staff was on it the whole time--attentive without hovering, and our waitress actually seemed to like her job (rare these days). Place was clean, too, which again... late night. Impressive. We did the Dinner for Two for $40 because I love a deal that doesn't feel like a deal, and this one delivered. Appetizer, two entrées, dessert--no weird upcharges, no "that's not included" surprises. I got the chicken with vegetables and pasta, plus garlic bread and a salad. Everything tasted way better than a $40 bundle has any right to. The other entrée was a burger and fries--simple, hot, and legitimately delicious. For the app, we grabbed the cheese bites (both cheddar and mozzarella) and honestly, I could've eaten a bucket of them. Dessert was a giant slice of cheesecake that looked like it belonged in a display case and tasted even better. Overall? Shockingly great experience. Fast, clean, delicious, and an actually good value. If every late‑night dinner went this smoothly, I'd never cook again.
