I'm a connoisseur of fine Bavarian Pretzels, oh and this one was fine! The cheese and mustard were perfect and the pretzel was warm and crispy. After ordering he gave us a number and told us to seat ourselves. After figuring out where we wanted to sit we went to the water station and grabbed some water. We looked around inside at the decor and talked while we waited for our order. We started with two sharables and each ordered the burgers of our choice. Unfortunately when they started bringing out our food they made an error in how it was made. We told them, the took the wrong order back, and after awhile they brought us everything and apologized for the error. Our sharables were the Grilled Chimichurri Avacado which comes with a half avocado, corn, and tortilla chips, and the Hummus Board which comes with hummus, veggies, and pitas. Both of these sharables were tasty in different ways. The Grilled Chimichurri Avacado was delicious. You could taste all of the delicious flavors and the tortilla chips were strong enough to hold a mix of the ingredients. The Hummus Board was also very tasty. The Hummus was garlic flavored and the veggies were fresh and crisp. The pitas were warm and soft. For my main dish I ordered the Driftwood Cheeseburger. It comes with a beef patty, bacon jam, onions, pickles, sauce, and cheese. I opted for no cheese. The burger meat was really good. You could taste the Smokey flavor from the grill on the meat. The bacon jam was sweet but not overly sweet and gave the burger a sweet and savory flavor. The pickles added texture to the burger. It was a really good burger. I ordered my burger with a side of kettle chips which were nice and crispy. Overall it was a great place to visit. I thought it was pretty good which was surprising as usually, new breweries take a bit to get things figured out. It would be a solid beer for a warm day. The bartender was friendly and they also had a bbq truck on site that smelled delicious but we didn't have time to check-out this time. The only negative I'd say is there is zero inside space with A/C, its all open air. That's not a dealbreaker for me but as its only going to get even hotter, I'm curious how it will impact their business.

Today marked the first time I actually drove in and parked to see what's inside. I was meeting a colleague to meet with the manager to solicit their participation in an event in September this year. Wow, the people are very nice and generally helpful. We walked around a bit and checked out their facilities. They have a dining area that serves lunch and dinner and brunch on Sundays. My colleague and I tasted some of their beers and we found out that their beer is delicious! I liked their Peach Radler and actually got a glass. Their German pilsner is also surprisingly good too. They have plenty of other choices but these were two of many. Overall, I'm coming back with my wife on Sunday to try out their brunch offerings. The staff is very proud of their brunch service so I made a reservation. Overall, this place looks first class all the way!

It's obviously referencing Matthew McConaughey who went to college in Austin (but is originally from the San Antonio area). Lots of Austin folks make references to the actor. In the flavor profile for this beer it is juicy, citrus which contributes to a strong overall flavor but is yet smooth with this hazy. It's a nice solid beer overall. The location for this brewery is great, large place and it's in Hill Country.

She suggested we go by One Shot Distillery and Brewery because of its character and uniqueness. Sometimes life is more fantastical than reality. There was a Bible Study group finishing up their bible study at One Shot Distillery. One of their member said they study the holy spirit and then they have spirits afterwards. I found some degree of irony in that situation. They did share some of their birthday cake, which was quite nice. One Shot Distillery emanates Texas pride with their huge colored Texas flag painted on the exterior the building. The place is relatively small but with a lot of heart. Samantha, the bartender, was Texas friendly and beaming with helpfulness. She even provided a hill country wine, distillery and brewery map...so super kind of her. One Shot has in‑house craft beers that are brewed with a focus on traditional German‑style profiles.. They have a working distillery with gin being one of the spirits they are known for. One Shot Distillery sources from Australia their Tasmanian Leatherwood honey, which is used as a botanical in their gin. This honey is known for its distinctive floral, slightly spicy notes, adding depth and a unique aromatic character to the spirit.
