My husband said his Old Fashioned was great! I had a lighter cocktail with white whiskey, cucumber and mint. I'm not a whiskey drinker at all but this cocktail was good. I'm also a lightweight and adds more ice and water Bartending staff is friendly and attentive. We asked about the name, and Andalusia was actually the name of the sheep farm they used to occupy the property. They just decided to keep the name! Fantastic bartenders. Friendly staff. We did a tasting and decided for us, the cocktails were the way to go. As a bourbon drinker, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked their gin. Had the Cats Meow and it was wonderful. The chef on site created this gin and you can really taste the time and effort that went into this product! They had live music and plenty of seating inside and outside. We hope to go back in October and take advantage of their brunch. read more

Cute little spot off the side of the road that we almost missed. We stopped here on a whim and were pleasantly surprised. The staff was very friendly and helpful when we asked for recommendations. The bartender made us some delicious drinks. There is a food station outside but we didn't eat because we have dinner plans. The food we saw come out both looked and smelled aaahhh-mazing! Nice space! a little drive North of Blanco and if you are staying in the area worth the trip. Big suggestion! do not order a flight of whisky. I love to order flights of beer and whisky when I am visiting a new place. However all the whisky is over proof and is very strong like white lightning. I highly suggest you get a cocktail, especially if you do not like strong drink. I will say most of all the whisky I tried was very strong and the flavor was mild. The cocktails were very very good. We scheduled a tour in advance to Andalusia Whiskey distillery. There was four of us and we had a great tour on the grounds. They explained the distillation process and we had tastings of several of their bottled products. Very friendly, knowledgeable and interesting presentation. Andalusia Whiskey is a great distillery in Blanco that is well worth the drive. The interior of their tasting room/bar is well appointed with nice, comfortable seating, the music isn't too loud, and the ambiance was relaxed with an upper class feel. The bar tenders were very polite and professional, they greeted us upon entry, and walked us through their spirits. We personally enjoyed their whiskey library room, it's quiet, secluded, and has a nice ambiance. You feel classy sitting in there. Their approach to a flight is intelligent and leaves the experience open to the customer, which I enjoyed; $3 a pour and you order as many tastings as you want. It's very nice to see no predatory business practices or controlled tastings that benefit the business, not you as the customer. Their whiskey was great, honestly, and whiskey is a very personable experience. You may hate what others love and vice versa. I personally loved the Revenant Oak and the Triple Distilled. We tried five of their spirits and they were all good, none were bad. Their whiskey isn't "over proof" or too strong either. You can sip Revenant Oak all day with no discomfort or burn. The food is excellent for a distillery and honestly deserves its' own review. My wife ordered a chicken burrito and my goodness what a burrito! Huge portions, priced well, not too expense, great taste and serving size. The food alone is worth going back for a visit. read more

If you can only visit one Texas distillery, this is the place to go. Proper grain to glass single malt whiskey as well as great rum and gin. The facility itself is quaint, but the distillery tour and tasting experience is second to none. The tasting room is very comfortable which includes a nice loft and a small library to sip the afternoon away. Without a doubt, they make my favorite old fashioned using their Styker Single Malt. The food truck on site is also very good, serving tasty and reasonably priced meals. Always a great time with friendly service. Definitely worth to drive from Austin. read more

Doing the Texas Whiskey trail and decided to go to Andalusia Whiskey on a Monday, yes they are open on Monday. Monday was a perfect day to go as husband and I had the whole place to ourselves. The staff here is SO nice and helpful. We were greeted and told about all the whiskeys they make and the history of the distillery. We got to meet the head distiller and we were shown a peat brick. Fun stuff. This place has LOTS of places to sit as they have a cute quiet library area and upstairs bar felling area upstairs and a comfortable coach room in the middle of the first floor. We did a flight of several of their different liquors. At $3.00 a 1/2 ounce pour it was easy to sample several different types of liquors. All of the whiskeys were enjoyable as was the pour of brandy along with the pour of the old fashion mixer. I will return to this distillery and I recommend that you go and enjoy this place as the whiskey and liquor here is really outstanding. Go and enjoy. read more

Another amazing little gem in the heart of the Hill Country. I'm not gonna lie, the drive (and company) from San Antonio to these spots is often the highlight of the experience. The scenery is beautiful and quaint and you encounter fewer angry, aggressive drivers from the main interstates. I digress. Andalusia is a warm and inviting space. It's like setting foot in a grand living room with a fancy bar. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and happy to share information as well. The decor is so interesting and provides a glimpse into the history of whiskey distillation. The outdoor seating is nice and comfortable giving cozy backyard vibes. There are Adirondack chairs and cozy little sectionals that make for a perfectly relaxing day. Their whiskey is smooth and tasty. Can't complain about it. Oh boy, this is going to be my favorite place to visit when I'm out in the Texas Hill Country! New to the Wimberly area Andalusia is a welcome addition focusing on Whiskey and helping break the overpopulated brewery scene. Step inside and head directly to the bar I suggest ordering the Whisky flight to familiarize yourself with their three very distinct spirits. Done in the Scottish tradition their Peated will remind you of a well balanced Scotch while the Stryker will flood your senses with mesquite, oak and apple wood much like good BBQ. Once you decide which of the three you like order your cocktail and wander around the beautiful space or sit outside and enjoy the scenery. My favorite cocktails were the Whiskey Mule and the Cherry Cola. Holding the fifth star until I try the food which I hope will be soon. read more
