We stopped in for lunch, and our server was great - when I told her I have gluten allergy, she said no problem and showed me all of the menu items they could make to accommodate. We got to experience the full breakfast on Sunday morning and the continental breakfast on Monday morning. Both were good at a level you would expect from a place like this. All staff were accommodating. It's a very peaceful setting...nice and quiet. It's a few miles into Fredericksburg, but that's OK to get the rural effect of Rose Hill. We will definitely return, in fact, my wife is planning a stay there with the "girl friends from the Dallas area. It seems a bit pricey, but when you consider any accommodations, you get what you pay for. I recommend Rose Hill Retreat.
