Such a wonderful experience! Peaceful view of the cows from the back patio. The place was packed but it didn't feel like it. Not cheap, but large portions and great food! Our server was also wonderful! 5 stars!

Great ambiance and excellent service made this a really enjoyable experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff was attentive and friendly throughout the meal. While the food was just okay and didn't quite stand out, the overall vibe and service still made it a nice place to visit.

What an amazing addition to the area! My husband and I visited last Sunday, and we had such a wonderful experience. The ambience was warm and inviting, and the service was exceptional from beginning to end. The Sunday brunch was buffet-style, and every dish we tried was delicious--there wasn't a single item we didn't enjoy. The servers were all very sweet and attentive, always available for refills or anything we needed. Whiskey Ridge is truly a fantastic place to enjoy brunch with family. I highly recommend it. I'm already excited to return for dinner and try their evening menu. Parking was plentiful, and the bathrooms were immaculately clean with beautiful design and decor. The entire restaurant is thoughtfully and beautifully put together. I can't wait to come back!

This place is huge. We snagged a spot at the bar on a Saturday late afternoon to watch some college football. They were packed but service was fast and friendly. My husband got an Old fashioned and I opted for a Dirty martini. Both tasted great. Started with a cup of gumbo, perfect amount of spice for me and good chunks of meat throughout. I could have eaten a bowl of it as my meal. Ordered the Chicken fired ribeye and the Halibut special. The halibut was perfectly cooked and seasoned and the perfect portion size. My husband liked the chicken fried steak- it wasn't too overly breaded and it took up the entire plate! Overall had a wonderful experience at Whiskey Ridge and added it to our places to eat when we are out that way for day trips.

New Celebration Station! Took our mom here last night to celebrate her birthday. This place is incredible! Upscale yet not pretentious and high quality menu without breaking the bank. The bacon wrapped jumbo shrimp were colossal and the peach, bacon, horseradish jam was a sweet, hot delight. The chicken fried chicken on a bed of mash potatoes was crispy with just the right amount of breading, though the gravy was a bit on the spicy side. The Driftwood Cobb salad was HUGE and every bite provided a nice mix of all the fun ingredients with no bite just pure lettuce. Now, let's talk about the dessert brought out for the birthday girl. Apple-Berry Cobbler topped with ice cream was huge and seemed to come right from the oven. Perfection. Our server, Trey, was delightful. Very personable and attentive service. We will ask for him next time we dine.

What a beautiful place in the Hill Country! So glad to have Whiskey Ridge in the neighborhood. We sat at the bar and these workers are busting their butts back there. The drinks were made well and in a pretty decent amount of time. We placed our order for apps, and unfortunately the kitchen sent the apps and meal out together so we had them take the main course back and we enjoyed our apps and then they brought the pork chop out. The oysters were delicious (according to my husband, I don't know eat them). I had the Wimberley Salad and it was incredible!! Sooooo good! My husband had the fried pork chop and it was delicious. We definitely will be back!

We first visited Whiskey Ridge on Mother's Day for their AYCE Brunch buffet for only $28.95. This was apparently their second time putting it on and WOW you never would have known! AYCE brunch can be challenging to put on, but they did such an incredible job keeping the food stocked and hot, PLUS the variety and quality of all their dishes they make was next level! From their shrimp and grits, chicken dumplings, crispy fried chicken and biscuits, house made Chorizo, fluffy brioche cinnamon rolls, nacho and yogurt bar the options were endless. Our server Melanie was super attentive and kind making sure waters were filled and drinks were flowing. After experiencing brunch we had to go back for dinner and happy hour and the theme of incredible food, service, and southern hospitality continued with our server Sydney. They have specials like $9 1/2 dozen gulf oysters, $10 calamari, stuffed avocado and others apps along with great drink specials like $5 frozen margaritas (which are strong), $4 16oz Karbach draft beers. While the deviled eggs topped with crispy fried oysters weren't on happy hour, they are a NEED in your life!! We stayed for dinner and dessert and still... WOW! They have a 10oz chicken fried ribeye topped with their gravy that they make from their short rib drippings. We're already eyeballing what to get next time we go! They have a rotating cobbler which was also phenomenal! We had an Apple strawberry one and loved the chew on the apples perfectly spiced and topped with a double churn ice cream which apparently helps the ice cream last longer (aka doesn't melt as quick) We honestly loved them so much we want to move closer so we can be regulars! If you haven't checked them out they are 1000000% worth the drive and calories!

Good service, good food, definitely try if you are in the Driftwood area. We forgot to take a picture of the calamari... it was really delicious... much different than most places but was very good.

Been wanting to try Whiskey Ridge as we live nearby. Born and raised Driftwood, Tx folks. Biggest hang up is this country bumpkin skips dinner about 99 percent of the year. Finally, open at 11am on Sundays. Book a 1:15pm reservation and stroll in. Website says Brunch coming soon. Wrong, it's here and there is no access to the regular menu till 3:00pm. BTW, your hours are wrong on Yelp too. Cue the rarely spectacular brunch buffet for $28.95. I mean, Elmar Prambs is still at the Four Seasons and not in your kitchen. Whiskey Ridge delivered some nice bites and some duds. The Gumbo had genuine Louisiana flavor and texture; delicious dark roux that complimented the plentiful ingredients. Equal praise for the Shrimp and Grits. Nice texture with more Shrimp than I expected in a buffet setting. Rancher's Breakfast (Migas with Brisket) also had great flavor; Deviled Eggs too. The sausage was ok but my patty picked out of the middle of the pile was cold. Regretful looking overcooked bacon. I was told by the buffet attendee that they had completely ran out of biscuits. This is 2.5 hours into service so that was a let down. Then, two biscuits magically appeared at our table. I went back the buffet line and grabbed some gravy and a little butter. Didn't know what to expect as it wasn't exactly cream or brown. Perhaps a play on "Red Eye" and while I initially liked the taste it got bothersome to my palette quickly. Left 1.5 biscuits to be bussed away. GF and I like the flavor of the Chicken and Dumplings but wished the broth was a little thicker. Worst transgression served to us brunch guinea pigs was the mostly raw Cinnamon Rolls. Neighboring table and ours picked apart some crunchy bits but left the rest. Most comical part after looking at the buffet offering and deciding to dine we sat and waited for service. My phone is ringing to tell me our table is now ready. Oh that's great! Ma'am, please turn around and direct your attention to me talking to you from the table you sat us at. Good but not great.

Wow this place is hard to get reservations to. And I can see why. After trying for months we finally got one for a date we liked. Mainly by planning FAR ahead. Pro tip: There were a LOT of empty tables. I think they don't allow reservations for all of them, so just show up. The place was pretty full and they had a lot of wait staff hustling. We had a fabulous waiter who took the exact right pace. Great views and it was spring so the temperature was a rare pleasant one to have all the doors, windows, etc wide open to catch the breeze. We started out with Margarita's which were very well done. We added the deviled eggs with fried oysters. I have a huge weakness for them whenever I see them on the menu. And fortunately, they were the BEST I've ever had. For the entree I had a complete miss. I rarely eat steak out, but I went for the NY Strip. I ordered it medium and it was WAY under done. Never, ever in my life will I ever send a steak back. That's either a sign of a rookie or just a pretentious chief that's going to under cook it their way. Neither of which will ever ensure it gets to what you ordered. I was a waiter. It immediately gets over-cooked and I'm not going there. I'll just score that to: great place, won't order that again. Perhaps it didn't help that it was gristly. I was just grumpy about my protein or maybe because it didn't have a chance to break down in the heat.... I'll shut up now. The sides were very good. We went with the mashed potatoes and creamed corn & spinach. Both were just very well done. My date went with the sauteed flounder. One of my favorite fishes and it was perfect. Perhaps I just had buyers remorse, but no, it was legit a great entree. Definitely going to return and try out more of the menu. Maybe next time I'll just show up.

Texas Peach Handheld....It was massive, luckily split with my wife and Bone Marrow & Barbacoa Stuffing

So we had 2 couples drive out for early dinner from Cedar Park, TX. We stopped at Deep Eddy to have a drink, and got to Whiskey Ridge about 2pm. The atmosphere is absolutely awesome. Great Central Texas feel, and high class but not stuffy. High end Ranch if you will, ha. The drinks to start came quick and were top notch. I took a pic of the Peach Be With You Whiskey drink, centex peach, it's sweet, but a cool drink, the XX's and Ranch Water and Margarita were top notch. Appetizers we had Deviled Eggs w/ Fried Oyster and Bacon....they disappeared before I could get a pic of more than 1. I'm a big Deviled Egg and also Oyster...never had them together...they were off the chart good. We also had the Poblano Ranch Chicken salad stuffed Avocado. I didn't think they could beat the Deviled Eggs....but this was a close...for the ladies they liked this better...it was crazy good. The couple with us went with the raw oysters and shrimp cocktail for dinner. I had an oyster....and the shrimp were gulf, HUGE and very, very good. My wife and I split the Texas Peach chicken sandwich. It was off the chart good....but you need to like some horseradish taste. The jam has it...and I'm a huge fan, the wife loved it as well. We split it, it was huge. We also got the Bone Marrow & Barbacoa Stuffing. Looks like giant croutons, and the flavor....I cannot describe. Don't know who thought of this...but it was about as good a side as you can get. We took a drink out on the patio by the fire after we ate, wasn't too cold out yet or anything, but the cool feel there was just....Texas. It's a little bit of a drive....but beyond worth it. Most likely we'll do a weekend near Wimberly, or Air B&B by this place, and a day in Wimberly and back here for dinner and there is another cool Cat Bar next door they suggest too. If you're from Texas, this is High End Texas. We didn't eat heavy like Steaks today, but I'll have the Bone In Ribeye in the future. Everything we had was top notch. If you're not from Texas.....I'd go and learn what high end Texas dinner looks like, ha. Staff was very good, our server got caught doing something, and immediately the others came over for that time and didn't miss a beat until she made it back. Well Run....Well organized, and service was 5 Start for sure. Got a hat....has Whiskey and a Longhorn...couple of my favorite things, ha.

We loved this spot for dinner!! The ambiance is classy indoors and the patio is casual and has beautiful views (especially at sunset). Plus the food and drinks are SO good. The qualify for the price is great. We can in September and the fall decorations were so fun and festive. Our waiter, Mason was so kind, quick and helpful for suggestions. We will definitely be back for date night or their brunch special soon!

We visited here for a celebration with good friends. We had a reservation, so we didn't have to wait long to get seated. We shared the crab claws appetizer and an order of fries to start and they were both delicious. I ordered the salmon and a side of slaw. The food tasted great. The wood grilled choices are fairly expensive and do not include any side, not even a starch. My husband also ordered a side of the creamed corn and spinach. They seemed to have hastily hacked off the kernals because the corn still had lots of corn silks. When we ordered dessert, our server didn't warn us that it would take another 30 minutes to arrive or we wouldn't have ordered it. Aside from that, it was a nice restaurant.

This is a unique venue in that it's a bit off the beaten path near driftwood, up in a hilly area. GPS guided us there just fine. The distillery is attached to a church and wedding venue, and the wizard academy (which our friend attended for his whiskey sommelier certification). I think the distillery is their own separate business and entity but the property all seems like one thing. The bartender said crowded barrel isn't run or connected to the wizard academy but they are friendly given the shared love of whiskey. At the whiskey academy, so somewhere on the property, is the wizard's whiskey vault. Now that's a room I'd like to get into. But, I'm not trying to be a whiskey Somme, so I'll likely never see it in person. We had a few cocktails and couple of straight pours. If we had come earlier in the day, I would have done a flight in addition, to get more tastes. Come with at least an hour to spend here. I enjoyed the Anejo agave (tequila) spirit and we bought a bottle of the Snake Wood Whiskey. This is a fun and uniquely flavored whiskey. It's a bourbon finished with Brazilian Amburana Oak which lends an interesting cinnamon like taste. But it's not cinnamon, it's like reminiscent of baking spices. Very tasty. The staff were friendly and happy to chat about whiskey. We enjoyed our time there, wish we had been able to spend just a little bit longer but such is life :)

If you are a whiskey drinker, you will find a fine collection of bottles here…read more Or rather - you will find a very very fine collection of scotches here. There are some highly interesting bourbons as well. The selection of ryes is thin. If you read Whiskey Advocate (which I have been known to do), the rye curating will give you no thrills. The selection of Irish is thin as well - but no blame on that point. The population of upscale Irishes is just not that large, once you pass some over-rated cliches like Redbreast. * * * Seven Grand however is not an abstract name. That is how much you will pay in order to drink here. The prices for two ounces of many of those beverages will make the eyes pop out of your head sideways and go running out the front door. In more than a few cases, two drinks here will cost you close to what you would pay for a full bottle purchased at a liquor store. Now to be sure - bar drinking is expensive. That kind of percentage markup is not unheard of in the industry. But when you move up the price range for the raw material, The absolute amount of money you are overpaying to have that drink goes up astronomically. I will pay big for a peak experience I will remember for the rest of my life. (See my review of Craft Omakase.) I will not pay big for a random experiment with a bottle that could be wonderful and could be overrated. It is more economical to just buy the bottle. If the experiment works, I get a free month of legendary drinking. To my mind, bottle testing at Seven Grand just doesn't make sense.

He told me about the happy hour specials and also informed me that it was free pool night (on Mondays). I'm not a huge fan of whiskey, but I've found that whiskey bars tend to have amazing craft cocktails. I browsed the HH menu and noticed a Whiskey Sour. I actually like a Clarified Whiskey Sour and was curious to see how it compared. The Whiskey Sour wasn't bad, but it wasn't as good as the Clarified Sour that I've had at Reserve 101 in Houston. Kyle told me they're working on some clarified cocktails. I also ordered a Boulevardier (which isn't on the HH menu). Kyle admitted that he had never made one. He quickly looked up the ingredients and made one for me and it wasn't bad! I've only had this cocktail one other time before so I didn't have much to compare it to, but I did enjoy it. They have a small cigar menu. Cigars can be smoked outside on the patio (which is shared with Las Perlas and Caña Rum Bar). I liked the laid back feel between the pool tables and the rustic decor (it felt like I was in a lodge). Though I'm not a big whiskey drinker, I did enjoy the cocktails as well as the ambiance.

The bartender claimed I was drunk and cut me off anyway. I was at the bar talking to a girl while waiting to get a drink (the wait was long because the service is very slow, despite the bar not being very busy at all). She was clearly into me, and the bartender kept jumping in trying to talk to her too (instead of doing his job making drinks). He was doing all sorts of things to try and flirt with her and make her laugh: pulling out and showing her buckets of pre mixed cocktails, running and sliding under the bar, etc. She was engaging with both of us , and right in the middle of that, I get cut off out of nowhere. No explanation other than claiming I looked drunk, which I very clearly wasn't. It felt very clear what was going on--he wanted me out of the way. I left and asked the bouncer on my way out if I seemed drunk. This was literally two minutes later. He said no, not at all, and asked me why I would even ask that. I then told him exactly what happened and asked him to let the owner or whoever was in charge know about this extremely unprofessional conduct so they can discipline the bartender. His response was that the bartender has discretion to cut anyone off, and let me know the bartender is supposedly married so he couldn't have been flirting with any of the customers. Well, sounds like his logic is flawed--not only COULD he flirt with his customers, he WAS, and was therefore cheating. I hope his wife finds out. This is perfectly representative of Austin customer service lately and not normal in other places. I was in Tampa for an entire month earlier this year and this would've been unthinkable there. I'm not coming back.
