Located in the St. Elmo art district with very cool murals. The service was phenomenal. Nice outdoor seating area with live music. Tasty frozen margaritas, yummy gin and jam and a tasty old fashioned with their brand bourbon. We tried the frozen Old Fashioned and it was surprisingly good.

This is a hidden gem a bit away from Ben White with a bunch of other businesses including a brewery. Parking can be found but it can be a walk. We went as a group and hung out at a table inside. It can get loud as it's echoing from a cement floor. Drinks run about $15 but they are yummy and the staff is great. This is the place to get Still Austin merchandise and buy a bottle or two. All their whiskey is the best. They also have an outdoor space that is partially covered. We went on a rainy chilly night, so we opted to go inside. Go check it out if you're a whiskey fan.

Hubby cashed in his date day birthday coupon...pretending to be tourists in Austin. He wanted to go check out a distillery. Not my first choice...for sure. However, I went with the flow. His birthday coupon...his choice. Smile. Austin Distillery, his selection, has garnered quite a reputation as a premiere Texas distillery. It perpetuates the Big Texas personality - from the large outdoor venue and murals to the concert stage (Antone's live music on Sundays at 1 pm). You definitely feel the country charm and laid-back casual atmosphere and the we're glad you're here vibes. The distillery has a tasting room including bourbon, rye, or seasonal releases. We ran into an out of state visitors and they raved about the Austin distillery. They raved about the Cask Strength Rye Whiskey. In the tasting room you same one whiskey or have a whiskey flight. In addition, to selling liquor Austin distillery sells souvenirs from clothing to water bottles to lip balm. We tasted the Cask whiskey and we agree with our visitors on the smoothness and taste of the whiskey. The Austin Distillery also host distillery tours. Unfortunately, the next one was a 3 pm and the hubs did not want to wait that long. Something to do for our next visit.

It's such an inviting place just off the highway! Stop in and grab your favorite bottle, or bring your friends and come hang out on the patio and soak in the ambience while you enjoy your beverage!! You will always be greeted by wonderful staff!

While in Austin for a bachelor party we decided to swing by Still Austin Whiskey Co. for a couple of drinks. We stopped by on a weekend afternoon and were pleasantly surprised that it wasn't overly crowded. This could be because it was almost freezing temperatures outside The interior is very well lit and well decorated. A line starts from the entryway to the bar, but there's a gift store all around the interior space. Fee free to step out of line to peruse their souvenirs while waiting for the line to go down There's one main bar to order drinks from. Out the back side there is a wall of small seating options (tables), but most of the seating seems to be outside on the covered patio. As I said, it was cold, so, they turned on the gas heaters. There's also a cool little stage for live music and entertainment When we visited they were out of one of their flag ship whiskeys - the Bond Blue Corn. There are several cocktails options on the menu. Everything looked great and tasted solid. I was a little disappointed that just about all the cocktails were on draft The staff were friendly and fairly efficient. The line would grow practically out the door, and there would be a few bartenders behind the bar, but again, most everything was on draft so I'm not sure why a long line kept forming. But again, they are pretty efficient so you won't wait too long Some tips: They do offer tours, but we opted not to do one since most of us have been on may whiskey tours in the past You can get a rating card at the front bar to track tasting their various whiskeys. I do wish they had a cemented flight option(s) that people could easily order to try everything There is also a tasty banana Hefeweizen that is worth trying out Cheers!!

While in Austin for a run for my wife. We have always liked the bourbon. We did not do the tour but I did do a tasting and my wife had a craft cocktail. The flagship bourbon was the best to me. The Cask strength is a bit rough ( first time I had it. The Rue is pretty tasty as well. They have seasonal bourbons but were all sold out. It's a nice building in a strip with other businesses.

I was excited to finally visit, but they were out of all the limited release selections and didn't have them to sample either, except for the Spring but I had already purchased that before in Total Wine. I went on a Tuesday so nice and quiet and the service was great to get a cocktail and sit outside. They should probably collab with one of the many breweries/wineries to make some unique batches or cocktails onsite. Anyway, Pollo enjoyed the friendly staff and spacious seating area with heaters.

Great times!

Bourbon, pizza, and hanging with friends-honestly, what more does a person need to achieve peak happiness? Every time we're in the area, it's an automatic stop. At this point, I think they should just reserve us a table with our names on it. The Old Fashioneds here? Dangerously good. Like, "I'm suddenly funnier and better looking" good. The pizza? Absolute perfection. And the vibes? Immaculate. These legends I hang with might be questionable, but this place never is. By far our favorite after-work spot. If you don't stop by, you're doing life wrong.

Dropped by Still Austin Whiskey Co. on a Friday because they were doing a Rye 7 year Whiskey drop. So it's best to look for parking a bit away from the entrance at Still Austin as it seems everyone likes to park right by the door. We found parking, by one of the side buildings. There was no line when we got there around 12:30pm. The limit was 4 bottles per person and we got lucky as they had plenty of bottles left at this time. We parked, we walked in, we got our limit of bottles, we paid took a few pictures and left. Mission accomplished. On this day there were lots of nice and happy employees working.

You walk in and right away you have to make some difficult decisions. Are you going to have a cocktail or a flight? Are you going to stay and drink or grab a bottle and then have a cocktail? Service was fast, informative and friendly. We sat outside and enjoyed our old fashioneds. We hope to be back and grab a bottle and check in our luggage!!

We found out about a free comedy show being held at Still Austin Whiskey Co and just couldn't resist. The parking before getting in was a bit hard to find as there's many different breweries/restaurants in the area but there should be a space for you to find if you look. The interior is nicely decorated with an indoor bar and a view of their distillery behind glass. The outside is nice as well with a food truck, cornhole, and plenty of seating. They're also dog friendly so keep that in mind if you read this and look to visit. The drink special for the night was $5 gold rushes so we had a few and settled in for the show. The drinks were pretty good, sweet and not too strong but gave a buzz. The comedy was pretty good with a variety of different styles. By the end of it we were definitely glad we came and checked out the venue. Seems like a great place to attend events or shows so hopefully we'll get out there another time.

Stopped here for a drink after an event and really enjoyed everything about this spot. Chill spot to chat or play some games. They have a few available and I'm sure you can bring your own too. Not loud so you can hear one another talk. Drinks were great! The Gemini season was interesting and well balanced. I had the cask strength on a big rock and it was beautiful. It has depth and good flavor. Very sippable. I'll be back to support this local business in a comfortable tasting room.

Came here kinda late on a Thursday. I've been drinking Still Austin Bourbon for a while (hello blue corn) but had never actually made it out here until now. Very cool place inside and out. Lots of merch, indoor and outdoor seating, seasonal cocktail menus etc. The Sweet as Pie cocktail was so good! It is a bit pricy but on par with others similar to them. Parking was questionable since there are so many businesses in that area. I'm sure I'll be back.

Overall kindness. Like yeah it's a bar and a brewery but at the same time there's no need to be rude, that ruins the whole atmosphere.

I want to start off by saying that my experience with staff during my visits has always, ALWAYS been great. From the very first time I walked in and sat at the bar with my friend, every bartender has been great, friendly, engaging, very much excited to talk about the products, excellent drinks. Terrific. I liked it so much that I wanted to throw an event there and this is where my experience turns left. I emailed the events coordinator, no response. We actually went back and spoke with staff and they said they'd also try to send an e-mail. Nothing. When the events manager said it would require paying for the entire space and quoted me an astronomical number which obviously I didn't even entertain. Fast forward to that day and I brought some people there for cocktails anyway. There were like 6 people-I was quoted like 7500 to close out the room. I doubt they made 7500 that day, and now it makes sense that they've been 'temporarily closed' for a few months.

This is a unique venue in that it's a bit off the beaten path near driftwood, up in a hilly area. GPS guided us there just fine. The distillery is attached to a church and wedding venue, and the wizard academy (which our friend attended for his whiskey sommelier certification). I think the distillery is their own separate business and entity but the property all seems like one thing. The bartender said crowded barrel isn't run or connected to the wizard academy but they are friendly given the shared love of whiskey. At the whiskey academy, so somewhere on the property, is the wizard's whiskey vault. Now that's a room I'd like to get into. But, I'm not trying to be a whiskey Somme, so I'll likely never see it in person. We had a few cocktails and couple of straight pours. If we had come earlier in the day, I would have done a flight in addition, to get more tastes. Come with at least an hour to spend here. I enjoyed the Anejo agave (tequila) spirit and we bought a bottle of the Snake Wood Whiskey. This is a fun and uniquely flavored whiskey. It's a bourbon finished with Brazilian Amburana Oak which lends an interesting cinnamon like taste. But it's not cinnamon, it's like reminiscent of baking spices. Very tasty. The staff were friendly and happy to chat about whiskey. We enjoyed our time there, wish we had been able to spend just a little bit longer but such is life :)

The Quintessential Texas Hill Country Day Out!…read more If you're looking for the perfect blend of Texas hospitality, smoky BBQ, and scenic vineyard views, look no further than the Austin Detours Hill Country BBQ & Wine Shuttle. I recently took this tour in February, and it was the highlight of my weekend (as I'm a local). Whether you are a local hosting out-of-towners or looking for a professional team-building outing, Austin Detours provides a seamless, stress-free way to experience the best of Central Texas. 5/5 recommend! Our day started at the Austin Visitor Center where we met our driver, Luke, who was fantastic throughout the trip. We hopped into a comfortable Mercedes Sprinter van for a smooth 40-minute drive out to the hills. One of the best parts of these tours is the people you meet. Our group included travelers from Ontario and Brazil, and it was wonderful swapping stories about their first impressions of Texas while we cruised toward our first stop. We started strong at this legendary BBQ spot - The Salt Lick. After placing our orders for some of that famous fall-off-the-bone brisket, we took a quick walk over to Salt Lick Cellars to grab some wine. Pro tip: Salt Lick is BYO, so being able to grab a bottle right there to pair with the BBQ is a game changer. Next up was Driftwood Estate Winery which was pure relaxation. We grabbed a bottle, found a spot under a massive oak tree, and just took in the incredible Hill Country views. Our new international friends joined us after their tasting, and the conversation was just as good as the wine. Our final stop at Fall Creek Vineyards was originally meant for a formal tasting, but the interior was buzzing and a bit loud. Since the Texas weather was doing us a massive favor -- sunny and nearly 80°F in February! -- the group opted to buy a few bottles and head outside to the fire pit. It was the perfect way to wind down. The drive back to the Austin Visitor Center flew by. We were all chatting, sharing snacks, and enjoying a final beverage in the van. A few things to keep in mind: The $69 price is for the expert guide and transport. You'll want to budget about $35 for BBQ and $10-$25+ for wine tastings/bottles. The Vibe was incredibly flexible. Whether you want to do a formal tasting or just split a bottle by a firepit with new friends, the pace is up to you.
