I used locksmith on wheels in the past under the previous owner. Unfortunately it appears that the new owner is clearly unable to fill the shoes that they purchased. The lady answering calls is rude and impatient. At first I didn't realize that ownership changed. I later also discovered that they are no longer licensed or bonded as they claim which is a big red flag! I know I wouldn't want anyone with access to my keys. The majority of the good reviews here are before new ownership took over and I feel this is very misleading. Find a reputable locksmith that is actually lawfully licensed before you make a call. read more

Locked myself out if the house and reached out to locksmith on wheels to get my door opened and new keys done. I had a great experience few years ago, but this time it all just went downhill. I was waiting for my technician for 3 hours, even though they told me it will take 30-45 minutes.. once he finally showed up, he did not have the right tools, and ended up completely ruining my door. After I called the management to complain, I realized the company is under new management to and they suck. When I asked for a licence being disappointed with their work - turned out they didn't have one.. zero stars if I could - I am not calling them again. read more

New management is horrible and lacks customer service values. The new owner was literally yelling at me when I asked him why they only support their work and product for 30 days. BEWARE of this new owner, 30 days only is the warranty if it breaks you have to pay full price to get it repaired again. He tried to say my tenant was abusive to the lock using it every day. It's unfortunate Randy is gone, he had such a good business and customer service ethic. This company is under new ownership as of about February 2019. The sign out front say AAA but the piece of paper on the door shows another name ("Locksmith on Wheels"?) The old owner was great - very knowledgeable and reasonably priced. I cannot say the same for the new owner. Today, I brought 2 Ford knock off keys to be cut. Shame on me for not asking my cost for the 5 minutes of work required to cut them using a standard key cutter - $20 a piece!! The old owner would have charged me $% - $8 a piece. Buyer BEWARE! I have not checked the keys to see if they work. I will be taking them back if they don't unlock the ignition. read more

Mark and his team were initially a referral from a door sales company when our front door lock broke. They made recommendations on new hardware, took care of the ordering of the needed parts, kept me apprised of delays in receiving parts, and was easy to work with in coordinating a date for installation of the new lockset. Even though they ran into issues with the installation, they took the extra care to do the job correctly. We couldn't be happier with the work they did. We had an issue with the same lockset just this past week that required we get them to come back out and provide a repair. Mark responded promptly on the weekend and we had an appointment set up for the next business day. The tech again was prompt and took the extra time to repair the lock correctly. Got a call from Mark to follow up on my review and worked through some issues on how to improve service. He agreed to install the smart lock (the one I wanted in the first place, so I bough my own to be installed). Mark kept me informed about his ETA and showed up as said. First, This time I forgot my set of keys for the home (I was in mad rush that evening) so he picked the older door lock and he installed the smart lock on another door for me, while he was here with me I had asked him if he would replace the mailbox lock (which I've been meaning to replace for a while). All in all it was a total of $255 for picking an old lock (Now I have to replace it as well...after I saw him pick it in less than 30secs), install new smart lock and replace mailbox key. What I can say for sure is that he'll show up on time and will do the job at hand... ================== Last Experience.... Mark was prompt and did the work ok, if I wasn't pressed for time I wouldn't have hired him. I was in a rush get my new home secure before I head out on a long trip. Does the job ok but extremely expensive, cost of rekeying (Not replacing locks) 2 doors is ~$300. My advice is to shop around or better yet watch a few YouTube videos and DYI for fraction of the cost. I did not have this much disappointment even in the home purchase process compared to changing locks (rekeying existing locks). What really pissed me off is he offered schlage coded key for nearly twice the price compared to Home Depot and installation charges ($150 - $165) on top of it. Luckily I have been shopping for same lock so I knew the BS price he blurted out at that point I want him off my property... I understand situations where locksmith can make you feel like "good sent" most of the time they are...but Mark it shouldn't have to cost you arm and a leg (relatively speaking). He's not the first locksmith I've dealt with but he's the one to stay away from. I took almost a month before I decided to review him and even now my blood boils just thinking of the experience... On 2/15/2021 (Presidents' Day, a holiday) at 5pm, we had a situation. A lost wallet, including a drivers license with our home address on it, and a copy of our home front door key in it. At 5:10p I called Locksmith on Wheels. I spoke with the dispatcher and they said they would have the locksmith call me to let me know when he would be arriving. Ruben called me at 5:25p, advising he was now going to a job in Dublin, then he'd come to us. At 7:15 Ruben arrived. He was done at 7:40p. Incredible, fast service on a national holiday! My ignition was stuck and no amount of jiggling, hammering, or (eventually) drilling was able to get the sucker out. Though there were a few phone calls back and forth trying to connect to the locksmith technician, once we connected, he came out and removed the ignition in less than 30 minutes and didn't even charge us! I was shocked and grateful for this financial reprieve. (The estimate was $150.) He said we "did all the hard work already." The technician was polite, honest, and fast.
