I was referred by another locksmith who was not available and I'm so glad, because for once a company actually lived up to its name. He was so kind and genuinely cared about my situation; my car was broken into, stolen, then abandoned nearby. No broken windows either. They did it electronically, reprogramming my key fob in the process, and punching my lock in so I couldn't bypass it with my key. Apparently they're showing people how to do it on social media especially (the American-owned) TikTok and they won't take the videos down. They left all of my windows down and I couldn't turn on my car to put them back up again. I called around told my story and everytime I was quoted outrageous pricing after telling them what happened, which car I drove, and of course being a woman. It's really disgusting how some men treat women when it comes to cars & if they think you're desperate for help; they were trying to charge me car note prices to reprogram a simple car fob. Smh. But not Friendly Locksmith! It was affordable and fair. Roy came same day and ASAP after calling him & he reprogrammed my fob in about 10 minutes. I was able to put my windows back up and park my car back in my car port instead of on the street after having my car towed. He also helped me take my battery out of the car, because they like to repeatedly steal cars if it's easy for them (they'll have to tow it away or bring a battery with them next time ). I would give more stars if I could. I first called called Friendly Locksmith about my key about a month ago and followed up with pictures via text of my key. They didn't have it in stock but said they could order it and that it would get there between 1-2 weeks depending on the manufacturer. At that point I would have to make a 50% deposit. I was going out of town so I said I would text him about it later. When I got back I texted him and he was able to set up an appointment and swing by in his company car that same day. Roy was friendly, communicative (gave me a heads up 20 minutes before he got here), and was very efficient - he finished coding the key in less than 20 minutes. We had an ongoing problem with the Baldwin lock on our front door. Two previous locksmiths made us new keys and declared the lock fixed. Three months later it stopped working again. Several years ago, my mother-in-law passed away. As we cleaned out her house, we decided to take a fireproof filing cabinet to our house to store important documents that no longer fit in our fire safe. Even though Roy has all the latest & greatest electronic equipment, the old van would not give up its programming codes!
