I would give more stars if I could. I first called called Friendly Locksmith about my key about a month ago and followed up with pictures via text of my key. They didn't have it in stock but said they could order it and that it would get there between 1-2 weeks depending on the manufacturer. At that point I would have to make a 50% deposit. I was going out of town so I said I would text him about it later. When I got back I texted him and he was able to set up an appointment and swing by in his company car that same day. Roy was friendly, communicative (gave me a heads up 20 minutes before he got here), and was very efficient - he finished coding the key in less than 20 minutes. I got a few quotes and Roy gave one of the best prices for the chip key and also the key is from the car company so we didn't have to worry about it being a cheaper version of the key. We had an ongoing problem with the Baldwin lock on our front door. Two previous locksmiths made us new keys and declared the lock fixed. Three months later it stopped working again. We contacted Baldwin customer service and they said it was likely the cylinder and sent us a replacement. When it arrived we called Roy and he showed up an hour later. Several years ago, my mother-in-law passed away. As we cleaned out her house, we decided to take a fireproof filing cabinet to our house to store important documents that no longer fit in our fire safe. Friendly Locksmith is GREAT !! I called Roy to cut & program 2 spare keys for my mother-in-law's 2004 Chrysler Town & Country van. I know, not a common vehicle ! She only had one key fob. Roy was on-time, professional & very "friendly". It was not easy to program the 2 new 6-button key fobs. Even though Roy has all the latest & greatest electronic equipment, the old van would not give up its programming codes! Roy had to contact a manufacturer's representative to get a programming code & PIN. Of course, this cost a wee bit extra. After about 1 1/2 hours, I ended up with the 2 new cut keys with programed 6-button fobs and a spare key just for lockouts and my bill was only $280!! I have lived with a frustrating front door lock that had been poorly repaired in the past and required constant fiddling with disassembly to adjust screw tension etc and to add to the aggravation the key required lots of wiggling and tugging to put in or take out of the lock.
