I requested service to get a new Tesla model S key fob. They sent me a message via Yelp requesting to call me back at their number. I talked to some person named Jessica. I gave her all of my information and she said she would get back to me as she did not know if the request could be possible. Then they sent me a text, asking me specifically for my name, phone number, address, which I just talked to Jessica and had given her. Then I messaged them asking specifically to let me know if they can replace the key fob or not. Eventually a technician called me and said they could not help today and then when I asked him about replacing the key fob for the Tesla model S he said no we can't help with that anyway. Unless you have money burning a hole in your pocket, I would not recommend Locksmith on Wheels. I needed a new deadbolt installed on a front door that didn't currently have one. I had the hardware already. They wouldn't give me an estimate over the phone, but since the reviews were generally good, I decided to call them out. What a mistake. The technician told me it was $150 for a regular installation, $400 for a fresh installation. I understood that to mean it would be $400 for the installation. Even $400 was double the other estimates I'd gotten and well above the high end of estimated costs I'd seen online, but I just wanted to get it done so I went forward with it. The work took under an hour. When he finished, he told me it would be $600. Even though the invoice said "fresh installation" for $400, not "prep work" or anything like that, he told me that was only for creating the holes in the door, and that didn't include installation of the deadbolt. He also added on a $49 service fee I had not been informed of. So all said and done, I was charged $600 for UNDER AN HOUR of labor, no parts involved. It was an absolute ripoff, and when I tried to explain that I had understood a cost of $400, the technician was incredibly rude and wouldn't leave my house without payment of the full $600. read more

The front door lock was completely broken and was in need of an emergency fix after 1PM on a weekday. Not only did the company get me a rep to come fix that, they sent me an awesome locksmith! The door between our house and garage was very difficult to open. The doorknob is the old style lock and key and had to be replaced and I did not want to have it re-keyed. I went for a broken key stuck in the ignition, one shop wanted to open and remove ignition switch to retrieve broken piece which would've cost over $200. I used locksmith on wheels in the past under the previous owner. Unfortunately it appears that the new owner is clearly unable to fill the shoes that they purchased. The lady answering calls is rude and impatient. At first I didn't realize that ownership changed. I later also discovered that they are no longer licensed or bonded as they claim which is a big red flag! I know I wouldn't want anyone with access to my keys. The majority of the good reviews here are before new ownership took over and I feel this is very misleading.
