On our way back from Snowbird we wanted to get something to eat and Localz Bistro had great reviews and was on the way home. We were sat immediately and our waitress was super tentative. There were options for everyone on the menu - it was so hard to choose what to get. I ended up getting the buffalo chicken wrap. It was warm, crispy, spicy and most importantly, delicious. I also got to try the red pepper shrimp scampi. I am not a huge fan of red pepper so it wasn't my favorite but my friend really enjoyed it. Another member of our party got the crispy chicken sandwich that was so fresh and crispy I would go back here just for that sandwich. The fries that came with our meals were okay, not my favorite but still good. read more

Second time here. The food is delicious and the service was prompt and wonderful. Highly recommend the cider options as well.

Was driving and hungry so thank you YELP! Went out of our way to try this place and but it did not disappoint! It was pretty full on a Wednesday night, which was a good sign. Our server, Jonah, was awesome and had great suggestions. We had the pleasure of eating the shrimp n grits and the miso salmon n grits. Y. U. M! Great find!! read more

I got the shrimp scampi and was wowed by the flavor and the portion! My husband and I tried the cheese curds app since we are from California and aren't used to those offerings- surprisingly tasty and we enjoyed adding a squeeze of lemon. My husband was blown away by the ribeye and kept raving about it. Reasonable prices for what is offered! Definitely recommend if you're in the area read more

We love this place. i live nearby and had to initially talk my wife into eating here. now i've eaten here more times than i care to count. it's kind of embarrassing to eat there twice in one week with the same server. but so be it. I love every single thing on their menu. thejambalaya, localz dog. shrinp n gritz, chicken sandwich..it's all good. i love supporting good humans that serve great food. read more

Everything about this place was amazing. We went here the week of Christmas. Every place was super busy. We found this place. It was somewhat busy but we were able to dine in. I got the fried chicken. YUMMMM so good. My daughter got the chicken sandwich. Which looked equally amazing and she loved it. The French fries were so good we got an app of the poutine fries!! My grandson got a hamburger which he also loved. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the service was exceptional!! read more

I've only been here once and it didn't absolutely blow my socks off BUT I am thinking this place deserves a 4.5 star. I got the chicken and greens and wowwww it was so juicy, and cooked to perfection. But it honestly was the gravy on top of the perfectly mashed potatoes that made the dish. Fan friggin tastic ladies and gents. My brother goes here often and had full confidence that whatever I got on the menu would be super tasty and after my experience I would say he isn't wrong in putting his confidence in the restaurant. read more

I was meeting a friend for lunch before getting my hair done at Collectiv Academy in Sandy, so we both decided on giving Localz a try. Easy parking -- lots of it. Service was excellent from the moment we walked in. We were greeted warmly and asked if we wanted to sit inside or out. Pretty large and cool area inside, and large patio outside with umbrellas for shade. We had a nice time chillin' out there for a couple hours while we chatted. Our waiter came out to greet us and brought us waters right away. I asked for beer suggestions and was pleased with what I ordered. My friend and I had a lot to catch up on, but our waiter was very patient the couple times he came to see if we wanted to order food yet. I finally decided on just a Side Caesar (non-vegan) -- I was looking for tangier dressing, and of course, anchovy is what makes that tang. Our waiter spoke highly of the Orange-Tomato Soup, so I had to try because I've never seen this anywhere else. The flavor was lovely -- the only thing I wished was for it to be a little thicker or chunkier. My friend thoroughly enjoyed her meal, and I got some of her delish fries. I would definitely return! read more

We came here based on Yelp reviews and it did not disappoint! We enjoyed the fish tacos (perfect amount of spice) and the buffalo chicken wrap (great distribution of chicken to sauce to additions) with regular fries. Everything was cooked almost perfectly with only one of my three tacos being slightly overdone. I loved the jalapeno pico and avocado drizzle. A little on the pricey side, but certainly a place we will return again. read more

Great gumbo! Awesome service. Its just a hot dog, but it was a mean hot dog. Delish! Thank you. 10/10 recommend.

The red beans and rice (bowl)were tasty! I placed my order to go along with 3 other lunch items. The service was good upon my arrival. The only downfall was that they forgot to give me my cornbread that should have come with the red beans and rice. read more

Wow. What a fun experience and dinner!!! Boyfriend and I were driving. Looking for a last min idea for date night... boom. Yelp suggested this place. The picture that caught my eye was the Poutine... wow. Was it WORTH IT!!!! The wait was very long for a Saturday night. But we could see why after we ate! The ambience was a fun! Our waitress was lovely. The menu is super diverse which is surprising!! Our waitress said that the chef is born and raised from Louisiana. So we definitely have to try a few things! We had the poutine, the Cajun Alfredo, and the gumbo (I think it was gumbo... Kind of in the other one I'm thinking of) I don't know what kind of magic they put in the poutine... I want to eat it every day. The waitress suggested when we came back to try the mahi-mahi, fried chicken sandwich, and some others. We will absolutely be back soon. It was so good. I wish I was eating it right now. read more

Their Ahi Tuna appetizer was so delicious - I definitely recommend this dish. It is light, fresh and delicious! Their beef stroganoff unfortunately didn't have much flavor and was overpriced. I wouldn't order that one again. read more

Ive lost track of how many date nights the hubs and I have come here. All I can say is that working my way through their menu should be on everyone's bucket list, Christmas List or To Do List. Tonight I ordered the shrimp and grits New Orleans style and in the words of Emirl I say "bam!", Guy Ferri "holy moly" and from me, I'm just going to say "Hot Damn!" So let me just say, the food here is awesome but even more than that, it's a family business, and they make the guest feel that they are part of their family. They always say hi to us and I come here because I FEEL like it's community, and the beer is always cold, the food doesn't disappoint, and I love that my husband and I have found this as "our place" for date night. And my hubs wants me to shout out about their wings. So yes, order those too. read more

I've now had take out and eaten in at this restaurant. The vibe is quite nice. Cozy and modern both with a laid back style that makes coming informal fine but with better than fast food quality selections. The service was decent but definitely not super friendly. The food came fast and was accurate and the gentleman checked on us once. Demeanor was not mean or rude but not friendly either. Feel like he was just there to do a job and not much pleasure in it. My guests had a poke type dish, I think it was tuna on salad and he liked it very much. My son had the fried chicken and said it was flavorful but well too salty for his tastes. I had the vegan primavera dish. The noodles were quite nice but the sauce was just your average tomato type sauce and there's wasn't much flavor other than the tomato. The portion sizes are big and the costs seem appropriate for what you get. I did have the portobello mushroom sandwich previously and I enjoyed that very much. The biggest complaint for me was that both the floor and the table were sticky. The table especially. It doesn't breed much confidence in details to cleanliness to sit down to a hugely sticky table. They clearly don't wash their rags much before wiping down their tables. Worth a try. Hoping my experience was unique and they do better on other nights. read more

Loved our visit here! Great food and service. We brought picky out of town guests here and everyone loved their food. 100% recommend!

Food and service are amazing! We live near and it's our go-to when going out last minute.

Whether you are a local of the area or consider home in some other local place you will find a dish here that will satisfy. It may even take you home with out ever leaving your chair. For flavor town is the destination this local place and will take all diners looking for local hometown flair there and back again. The combination of food and southern style hospitality I am certain anyone will feel as if they are local and that they belong to the neighborhood of this bistro. Can't wait to come back a little more regularly. Perhaps they may even "know my name" one day. read more

Great little hidden gem on the upper side of Sandy. Cozy, warm with great service! Dave was the best! Awesome comfort food. Plenty of great pics on Yelp so I'm not going to add any. (Chicken wings were gone before I could take a picture) Beef stroganoff was rich, but not heavy or over cooked. Jambalaya is not something we would get but the reviews push us to it. Didn't disappoint. My son practically licked the plate clean. Localz doesn't open until 5pm on Saturday night, then the tables fill fast. Get there when they open and you'll get a table quickly. read more

Go here and order the Cheese Curds, lots and lots of Cheese Curds. You can thank me later.

Food is great, both delivery and on site. Actually, on site is better because the staff are so much fun! Very interactive and kind.

If I could give it 10 stars I would!! New favorite spot, will definitely become a regular. Had Kenyon as our server, and he was one of the best I've had in salt lake, if not THE BEST. Had the grilled cheese, orange tomato bisque, and truffle fries. 10/10 at least. Amazing. Beer selection was awesome, menu comprehensive. Environment was awesome, the most genuine salt lake place I've ever been. Locals would love it for being true to their home, visitors would love it for the way it shows the true salt lake mountain culture. Family business, which is always a huge plus. Cannot express how much I loved this place!!! read more

We were hopeful for this place! We live a good local joint. We were sadly disappointed. Food is just ok. Nothing that blew our minds, but solid place to eat at if you want to grab a drink and food.
