Chicken cordon bleu
Hannah N.

Village Baker is a favorite of mine, and this location always does a great job. It is very cute when you walk in, and they do have seating if you want to dine in. It's counter service. I normally do take out. We really like the chicken cordon bleu pizza. I love getting a pizza without red sauce. Their red sauce is good tho. I've had the pepperoni pizza and really enjoy it. Sometimes the pizza has a little more crust than I want, but I love their crust so it's okay. I've never tried them, but I've heard really good things about both their sandwiches and salads. They also have a delicious selection of pastries. I will say it is a little bit pricier especially for the pizza, but the food is good enough to splurge on!

Good food. Our group had a half turkey and provolone sandwich with the broccoli cheddar soup, buffalo chicken pizza, garlic bread and thanksgiving dinner sandwich. We enjoyed all of it. Sandwiches are rather big so I would recommend starting with a half if you are going to enjoy with a side. Decent amount of seating indoors. Very friendly staff. Plenty of parking.

We go to Village Baker quite often. I ordered a sandwich today and there was the tiniest bit of turkey on it so I asked if they weigh their meat and the manager came out and said yes we weigh our meat. We always have. It's been that way since we opened well that's funny because I've been going since 1994 when they first opened the first location in the sandwiches definitely have gone downhill. There is a picture on their yelp of a sandwich from five years ago and this turkey on it is three times as much as what I got today. If the manager said that it's still the same and they've been putting the same amount on that's wrong. My sandwich barely had any meat on it.

The best comfort sandwiches. Half a sandwich is the size of my face and the bread is cut so thick but it's so fluffy it compresses right down to a perfect meat-to-bread ratio. Such flavorful bread with perfect sandwich texture! Their salads are also delish. We love ordering these for delivery after a long hard day.

Village Baker's honey rye bread is the bread of my dreams. I've never been able to find another version that matches the VB quality. It used to be called, "squaw bread" but now I just call it, "the Lord's bread." The customer service at this location wasn't terrible. And the tables and chairs were very clean. But I swear Village Baker sandwiches used to be more hearty. I would always order half a sandwich because they were packed with so much meat, cheese, and toppings that a half could satisfy my large appetite. Maybe I'm remembering wrong. Either way, I obviously can't stay away as long as the honey rye is still on the menu.

Went to get some chicken noodle soup. I ordered a cup to go. When I got home and opened the soup there was no broth. It seems like they boiled the soup dry.

My husband and I were hungry and it was around 1pm today, there were 2 people in the pickup order line then 3 of us in the walk in line, they totally ignored us until this young man came up and started taking orders because after the pickup order that lady left the front end. Then we ordered half sandwich half soup I got the turkey avocado but substituted it with pepper jack cheese and cheese broccoli soup my husband ordered BLT with the chicken rice soup. There was so much bread we had to take the bottom half off and eat it like that. It was very plain and dry and I have been to Village Baker plenty of other times and it just seems like they're not trying as hard. The rice soup was in flavorful. Oh also we said TO GO, the guy taking our order even said TOGO right and we said yes, A VERY RUDE lady that was in street clothes (black pants, red shirt and a tan throw over, hair was brown in a ponytail with a black ribbon) brought out our food on plates and then I said our order was TOGO she walks off and I went up as well saying that she forgot our 2 cookies (that was in the back in the freezer) Then she snapped at me saying that this ain't my order, who cares, I just wanted to remind you. Then the guy who took our order brought out our order. I wish I knew his name because he was really nice but the lady on the other hand was very rude and unprofessional and DON'T have any customer service experience! If she was in her regular clothes that makes me wonder if she was part of the management if so, that's really SAD! Management Should set an example they should be wearing a uniform like everyone else. Needless to say I will not be back to this location! Do better and clean the tables when the customers leave. PS the cookies were dry and disgusting!

The bread is unbelievable. Sandwiches were delicious. But my favorite has got to be the baked goods. So yummy!

Food is excellent and the bread is unreal. Honey wheat is perfect and the sandwiches are light and balanced.

Rock Creek Pizza

This is a really good go-to pizza. Have ordered from here a few times and we've always enjoyed it…read more The place itself is very small with limited seating. There are a couple of small tables outside. Service has always been friendly and I've always ordered online and my order has always been ready when I arrived. The pizza is very good. They pile on the toppings. The marinara sauce is good. The crust is good. Everything about it is good. Usually order a half supreme and half pineapple ham vibe. Excellent grubbin' food. Rock Creek is a regular for us, you should check it out. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

The ingredients also were just enough for the crust. We also had the cheese bread. That's the reason for the 4 stars. It was just a pizza crust covered in butter and Parmesan. It was ok. DoorDash was great. I've just never needed them before. They kept me updated and arrived on time with the food still hot. All around a great experience.

A friend recommended this place and we were pleasantly surprised!…read more I was so impressed with the guy taking orders and handling a multitude of other things- he was quick, polite, thorough, and checked on everyone eating in, while handling a solid stream of takeout orders. Also, bottled water is free. They also have lots of Jarritos flavors. The menu is interesting even if you're like me and don't get the Pulp Fiction references. The crust is solidly above average, the toppings are high-quality, and I loved the hot honey. Better Call Saul was playing, there's an arcade game, and lots of stuff to look at on the walls. It's tiny (just a few tables) and appears to do a lot of takeout, and the parking is a little unclear- we parked at the restaurant next door. Would definitely return!

Pizza...it's a popular choice when you're traveling and not sure what to get. The problem is a lot…read moreof pizzas disappoint. Not Victor's Pizza. I found them right here on Yelp...the reviews were strong and the pictures of the pizza enticed me. I checked to make sure they offered Coke before making the trek and wasn't disappointed...cold and in a glass bottle! I went with the 12" Honey Bunny...pizza is t typically referred to as finger licking good, but when it's drizzled with honey that's the best words to describe the experience. Pulling up, I almost thought I was going into the wrong place and from the street I wasn't sure they had done in. Stepping inside, it's not the largest pizzeria, but it has everything you need...some seating, a soft drink refrigerator, a cash register and a few arcade games that are free to play. Don't get to into the games though because Victor's doesn't fool around, my pizza was delivered to my table in under 10 minutes along complimentary water bottles (as many as you like)! The pizza was awesome...you know it's great when the pepperoni gets those crisp edges...not many places can achieve that and damn is it good with the touch of honey drizzled over it. The cheese was perfect...not too little and not too much...like Goldilocks and the Three Bears, it was just right! They came out and checked on me a few times to make sure I had everything I needed...friendly people all the way around. Salt Lake must be filled with nice people because I met a few people while I was at Victor's, they were first timers too and were there on a strong recommendation from a friend. That's when you know the pizza is not just good, but legendary...word of mouth advertising is the most valuable! I'm glad I made it over to Victor's Pizza, it was incredible pizza with perfect crust! I love that while I was there I saw them give a pizza from a canceled order to a third party delivery driver...just great people and I like doing business with great people.
