Chicken cordon bleu
Hannah N.

Village Baker is a favorite of mine, and this location always does a great job. It is very cute when you walk in, and they do have seating if you want to dine in. It's counter service. I normally do take out. We really like the chicken cordon bleu pizza. I love getting a pizza without red sauce. Their red sauce is good tho. I've had the pepperoni pizza and really enjoy it. Sometimes the pizza has a little more crust than I want, but I love their crust so it's okay. I've never tried them, but I've heard really good things about both their sandwiches and salads. They also have a delicious selection of pastries. I will say it is a little bit pricier especially for the pizza, but the food is good enough to splurge on!

Good food. Our group had a half turkey and provolone sandwich with the broccoli cheddar soup, buffalo chicken pizza, garlic bread and thanksgiving dinner sandwich. We enjoyed all of it. Sandwiches are rather big so I would recommend starting with a half if you are going to enjoy with a side. Decent amount of seating indoors. Very friendly staff. Plenty of parking.

We go to Village Baker quite often. I ordered a sandwich today and there was the tiniest bit of turkey on it so I asked if they weigh their meat and the manager came out and said yes we weigh our meat. We always have. It's been that way since we opened well that's funny because I've been going since 1994 when they first opened the first location in the sandwiches definitely have gone downhill. There is a picture on their yelp of a sandwich from five years ago and this turkey on it is three times as much as what I got today. If the manager said that it's still the same and they've been putting the same amount on that's wrong. My sandwich barely had any meat on it.

The best comfort sandwiches. Half a sandwich is the size of my face and the bread is cut so thick but it's so fluffy it compresses right down to a perfect meat-to-bread ratio. Such flavorful bread with perfect sandwich texture! Their salads are also delish. We love ordering these for delivery after a long hard day.

Village Baker's honey rye bread is the bread of my dreams. I've never been able to find another version that matches the VB quality. It used to be called, "squaw bread" but now I just call it, "the Lord's bread." The customer service at this location wasn't terrible. And the tables and chairs were very clean. But I swear Village Baker sandwiches used to be more hearty. I would always order half a sandwich because they were packed with so much meat, cheese, and toppings that a half could satisfy my large appetite. Maybe I'm remembering wrong. Either way, I obviously can't stay away as long as the honey rye is still on the menu.

Went to get some chicken noodle soup. I ordered a cup to go. When I got home and opened the soup there was no broth. It seems like they boiled the soup dry.

My husband and I were hungry and it was around 1pm today, there were 2 people in the pickup order line then 3 of us in the walk in line, they totally ignored us until this young man came up and started taking orders because after the pickup order that lady left the front end. Then we ordered half sandwich half soup I got the turkey avocado but substituted it with pepper jack cheese and cheese broccoli soup my husband ordered BLT with the chicken rice soup. There was so much bread we had to take the bottom half off and eat it like that. It was very plain and dry and I have been to Village Baker plenty of other times and it just seems like they're not trying as hard. The rice soup was in flavorful. Oh also we said TO GO, the guy taking our order even said TOGO right and we said yes, A VERY RUDE lady that was in street clothes (black pants, red shirt and a tan throw over, hair was brown in a ponytail with a black ribbon) brought out our food on plates and then I said our order was TOGO she walks off and I went up as well saying that she forgot our 2 cookies (that was in the back in the freezer) Then she snapped at me saying that this ain't my order, who cares, I just wanted to remind you. Then the guy who took our order brought out our order. I wish I knew his name because he was really nice but the lady on the other hand was very rude and unprofessional and DON'T have any customer service experience! If she was in her regular clothes that makes me wonder if she was part of the management if so, that's really SAD! Management Should set an example they should be wearing a uniform like everyone else. Needless to say I will not be back to this location! Do better and clean the tables when the customers leave. PS the cookies were dry and disgusting!

Each location…read moreoffers an immersive early American experience complete with colonial décor, period music, and friendly young staff in costume. Even the ice cream flavors and drinking chocolate get clever historically-inspired names, which adds to the charm. Portions are generous. I usually get the one scoop, which in reality is three small scoops. Get two if you're sharing, and three if you can handle a full sugar coma. My personal favorite, after working my way through nearly the entire menu, is the Abigail Adams' Salted Crack Cookie with salted caramel, cookie chunks, roasted pecans, and smoked almonds. Simply delicious. I'm happy to pay the fair price for premium ice cream this good. They recently opened the Lehi-Traverse Mountain location, and it's packed on weekends. Whether you're bringing a date or the kids, come ready to wait in line, and budget time for everyone to sample more than one flavor before committing. Worth every minute.

They were so patient with me while I tried (yes...) five different flavors before deciding. Jeff was especially great; he had a genuine smile the whole time and handed me each sample like he was excited for me to try it. I'm originally from Louisiana, so the John Jay's Louisiana Purchase Pralines & Cream immediately caught my eye, and it truly tasted like home. The French brown butter vanilla, New Orleans pralines, and butterscotch swirl were absolutely perfect together. I also loved The Tory Apathy--cheesecake ice cream with black raspberry swirls. Both flavors were bold and explosive without being overwhelming, and that really stood out to me. I normally stick to chocolate or coffee ice cream, but these two completely won me over. The texture is a little more on the icy, compact side, but the flavor payoff makes up for it. Overall, such a fun, delicious, memorable stop!

Updating my recent visit after the last one. I'm impressed that the owner of this (and several, if…read morenot all Jersey Mike's in Utah) actually reads the Yelp reviews on his business. He reached out and made it good. I always say that there's no way any business gets a perfect score. But when it does get a report of a bad experience, it is always an opportunity to show how you handle complaints and can even win more loyalty or more regular customers. Businesses should always use such times to show their customer service side. I've seen it happen both ways, for the business' benefit and also for handling things in a negative way. I came during the lunch rush. Bottom line is that I got my order quickly. Smiles all around from the employees, they were very nice and interested in serving their customers. I got my favorite, the #13 The Original Italian. They just pack their sandwiches with a ton of meat and veggies. Love it. Why, oh why would anyone go to Subw**? Subw** shops has that processed smell, can't describe it any other way. Jersey Mike's subs just taste more fresh all the way around and not processed like that other chain's sandwiches. Anyway, very pleased with the service and the quality of my sandwich. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!
