    Garlic bread

Good food. Our group had a half turkey and provolone sandwich with the broccoli cheddar soup, buffalo chicken pizza, garlic bread and thanksgiving dinner sandwich. We enjoyed all of it. Sandwiches are rather big so I would recommend starting with a half if you are going to enjoy with a side. Decent amount of seating indoors. Very friendly staff. Plenty of parking.

Is there a problem with this sandwich? Yes: there's no meat. I was told 2oz is the standard, which is fine, but when I asked to purchase extra, I was told no--even though "Extra Meat" is literally on the menu. The manager got defensive immediately, which caught me off guard. I eventually had to suggest buying a cookie just to get the meat I wanted. She finally agreed, but the eye roll and sarcastic "You're welcome" made it clear we weren't actually welcome at all. We won't be back; we'll be going to Kneaders instead.

This is the photo the yelp website sandwiches don't look like this anymore.

We go to Village Baker quite often. I ordered a sandwich today and there was the tiniest bit of turkey on it so I asked if they weigh their meat and the manager came out and said yes we weigh our meat. We always have. It's been that way since we opened well that's funny because I've been going since 1994 when they first opened the first location in the sandwiches definitely have gone downhill. There is a picture on their yelp of a sandwich from five years ago and this turkey on it is three times as much as what I got today. If the manager said that it's still the same and they've been putting the same amount on that's wrong. My sandwich barely had any meat on it.

The best comfort sandwiches. Half a sandwich is the size of my face and the bread is cut so thick but it's so fluffy it compresses right down to a perfect meat-to-bread ratio. Such flavorful bread with perfect sandwich texture! Their salads are also delish. We love ordering these for delivery after a long hard day.

Village Baker's honey rye bread is the bread of my dreams. I've never been able to find another version that matches the VB quality. It used to be called, "squaw bread" but now I just call it, "the Lord's bread." The customer service at this location wasn't terrible. And the tables and chairs were very clean. But I swear Village Baker sandwiches used to be more hearty. I would always order half a sandwich because they were packed with so much meat, cheese, and toppings that a half could satisfy my large appetite. Maybe I'm remembering wrong. Either way, I obviously can't stay away as long as the honey rye is still on the menu.

Went to get some chicken noodle soup. I ordered a cup to go. When I got home and opened the soup there was no broth. It seems like they boiled the soup dry.

My husband and I were hungry and it was around 1pm today, there were 2 people in the pickup order line then 3 of us in the walk in line, they totally ignored us until this young man came up and started taking orders because after the pickup order that lady left the front end. Then we ordered half sandwich half soup I got the turkey avocado but substituted it with pepper jack cheese and cheese broccoli soup my husband ordered BLT with the chicken rice soup. There was so much bread we had to take the bottom half off and eat it like that. It was very plain and dry and I have been to Village Baker plenty of other times and it just seems like they're not trying as hard. The rice soup was in flavorful. Oh also we said TO GO, the guy taking our order even said TOGO right and we said yes, A VERY RUDE lady that was in street clothes (black pants, red shirt and a tan throw over, hair was brown in a ponytail with a black ribbon) brought out our food on plates and then I said our order was TOGO she walks off and I went up as well saying that she forgot our 2 cookies (that was in the back in the freezer) Then she snapped at me saying that this ain't my order, who cares, I just wanted to remind you. Then the guy who took our order brought out our order. I wish I knew his name because he was really nice but the lady on the other hand was very rude and unprofessional and DON'T have any customer service experience! If she was in her regular clothes that makes me wonder if she was part of the management if so, that's really SAD! Management Should set an example they should be wearing a uniform like everyone else. Needless to say I will not be back to this location! Do better and clean the tables when the customers leave. PS the cookies were dry and disgusting!

Even the ice cream flavors and drinking chocolate get clever historically-inspired names, which adds to the charm. Portions are generous. I usually get the one scoop, which in reality is three small scoops. Get two if you're sharing, and three if you can handle a full sugar coma. My personal favorite, after working my way through nearly the entire menu, is the Abigail Adams' Salted Crack Cookie with salted caramel, cookie chunks, roasted pecans, and smoked almonds. Simply delicious. I'm happy to pay the fair price for premium ice cream this good. They recently opened the Lehi-Traverse Mountain location, and it's packed on weekends. Whether you're bringing a date or the kids, come ready to wait in line, and budget time for everyone to sample more than one flavor before committing. Worth every minute.

Definitely recommend reading the menu before walking in. We sampled 4 different flavors and each were underwhelming. They had a lot of fun flavors, but it was mostly an unflavored ice cream base with a bunch of mix ins. We got the oreo & ice cream sandwich mix in one and all we tasted was the great value brand ice cream sandwich in each bite. I wish the base ice cream had more flavor. The best part was the cone. They are served warm and the flavor was perfect. The cone carries the ice cream. It's also a spendier ice cream (we paid $9 for 2 scoops and a cone). For the price i'd recommend Coldstone instead. The experience was fun though. The workers were in costumes and all the decor was centered around the 1700s. The workers were so sweet and did a great job.

It was a little loud because they were getting the new restaurant sign up. The ambience was clean with a lot of natural lighting. Our food was fantastic. We had three different food items and two different drinks. The Rose milk which I believe is milk base with a rose tea flavor was very good. The Mannari Sarbath was my favorite as it was light and refreshing also tea based with chia. Just the right amount of sweet. Our first food itemswas the fried garlic noodles with aromatic garlic and fried veggies. That was one of my favorites and highly recommended. The second item was the onion Podi Dosa. Crunchy, flaky and thin but very large. The potato stuffing lacked some flavor but it complimented well with the doing sauces, which all had amazing flavors and a kick of spices. Our last item was more of a lunch sampler, the lunch Thani special. Fried potatoes with okra, wild rice, tofu curry with peas that had the most amazing texture. The food comes out in about 10 minutes as it is done with care, the staff was very nice and friendly. I shall return as I wanted to try the fried cauliflower and they told us they couldn't cook it at the moment.

Our party called in for 6pm waitlist. We arrived at 5:59 and they had already given our spot to someone else because we weren't there at 5:57. They then proceeded to sit us outside where it was is insanely windy. Menus, napkins were blowing off our table and the tables around us. Everything was everywhere and we couldn't keep anything on the table. We put plates and cups on menus to hold them down as long as we could. I asked the waiter if we could be on a waitlist to sit inside and he said sure. 5 min later she proceeded to bring the people at the table next to us inside and never brought us inside the entire time we were there. As we were trying to eat in the wind, another waiter proceeded to empty water over a nearby fence, and because it was sooo windy, the water ended up coming back and splashing our entire party in the face. That part of the valley is just insanely windy in general and if they want outdoor seating, they gotta prepare better for the weather. The beer is always great and the pizza is solid. The experience was just sub par. I'll stick to the Sandy location.
