    Cajun chicken Alfredo
    Randal M.

It's great to see food this good in this location. It's not New Orleans by any means, but I got my fix of good cajun/creole food here. I found everything to be rich and flavorful. I loved the mahi-mahi, the etouffee, and the low country shrimp & grits in particular. The BBQ shrimp & grits were a little too sweet for my liking. The place seemed popular and had a short wait, but it seemed well organized, and food came out at a normal pace.

Nice spot for southern comfort food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Vibe is laid back, and the food is tasty.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I got the chef chicken sandwich with truffle fries, and a cup of gumbo. Everything was delicious and comforting! The gumbo was flavorful and I'm glad I got a cup of it to try. The fried chicken sandwich was great too, and the portion was pretty large. I definitely had leftovers to take home. If you're looking for southern food or comfort food, Localz Bistro is a nice spot! And I'd recommend trying to gumbo

    Jambalaya

Chick-fil-a has a better chicken sandwich than this place. My wife got the Jambalaya and the dish did not have the amount of food I'd expect for a $22 dollar entree. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This ambiance was like a southern version of Chili's.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The waiter was nice but never came back to refill our waters. We won't be coming back here.

Disappointing, except for waiter Bob. Ordered a margarita, a beer and 2 Bistro burgers. Margarita was a typical Utah one, 1 and 1/2 oz of tequila and my beer was a large format something or another and it was ok (I'm not a beer aficionado but it was not bad). Both burgers were wayyyy overcooked and dry. I had ordered mine with their upsale truffle fries and they were terrible...all of them floppy and unappetizing with a ramekin of what might have been fry sauce but it was white-ish/mayo stuff. My gf only ate 1/2 of hers and I ate all of mine because I was hungry. I called over waiter Bob and showed him the floppy fries and my, at that time, 1/2 eaten dry, overcooked burger. He was very apologetic and asked, several times, if they could remake our burgers which I declined. Bob also asked what he could do to make it right and I said, "thanks but nothing is necessary" as I wasn't looking for any type of compensation or a freebe (not my style). I proceeded to ask for the check and waiter Bob mentioned 1 of the burgers was taken off the check (again, I had not asked). I left a 20% tip for the amount the check should have been rather than the actual amount I was charged because the service as well as Bob's customer service was above and beyond however the meal was disappointing.

    Cheese curds!
    Brad H.

Came here on recommendation of friends and had a good experience. They seem to have a very diverse menu. I enjoyed the cheese curds very much as well as the red beans and rice. I had their version of French dip (Prime Rib Roll) and it was good, nothing that excited me, however. On another visit I also had the beef stroganoff. I didn't like it too well. Way too vinegary, sour flavor. I've never had such a vinegary stroganoff before. There were tons of pasta and beef. The portion was very generous. I started to eat my leftovers. The flavor just rubs me the wrong way. I don't know, I think they try too hard to be "different" or maybe their menu chef's tastes just don't jive with mine. Four stars because of the quality of ingredients, but just not for me. Give it a try to see if it fits your palate. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

A good comfort food restaurant. Locally owned and operated with excellent staff. Sarah was our server and was exceptional. The evenings special was their fish and chips that my daughter ordered and was very good. I had the prime rib roll which was also good. The horseradish sauce helps it out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lively popular place that is clean and bright.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Rice and beans soup

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The view from this restaurant is beautiful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff is friendly and attentive and the food is very delicious. I had a cup of rice and beans soup, it was hearty. My friend had the beef stroganoff and it was flavorful and fresh, I had pork chops with mashed potatoes and collard green. I rarely eat pork but when the chops were recommended to me by the server, I had to try it. It had a nice char flavor from the grill and it was seasoned right and flavorful. The collards green were tender and vinegary!it was so comforting. The bread pudding was also out of this word delicious and you get a thick serving with ice cream, whipped cream and strawberries.

Back again, and the poutine is killer! Like so addictive with the cheesy, gravey goodness! Also really enjoyed the steak sandwich, mine was cooked to perfection! Gf really enjoyed her tuna salad again! Service was a little slow, though not unbearable, but did have to ask more than once for our drinks. We will definitely be back.

The burger was as good as it looks, and the poutine and cheese curds are bomb. Highly recommend you get all 3!

Who would've thought this place would've been so good!! I cant wait to go back for the food. Ambiance is giving your local Applebees or Outback. Nothing crazy. There's a bar with a few seats, and a pretty large seating area. Service was pretty average nothing impressive. Waitress took the order and brought the food, never checked on us or refilled soda or water... so that was not great. Now onto the meal, I had the miso salmon with the goat cheese grits, and it was fabulous. 10 out of 10. The salmon was super flavorful and not fishy and the grits were excellent. I loved the flavor of everything. I cannot wait to try. The fresh made pasta with the shrimp scampi that the waitress had recommended - I will be back for that!

Outdoor seating with our Dog, the staff was so good to us.
    Rachel R.

I had the blackened Ahi and my husband had the fish tacos. Both were awesome. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We love the outdoor seating with such a gorgeous view of the mountains and they allow dogs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff was attentive and so kind to our Dog, Osiris.

Went for a family dinner. Place was busy but we were seated promptly. Honestly was surprised at how good this place was. We just randomly picked it. The food was all fresh and had great flavor. Everyone I was with loved their meals. I had the fried chicken sandwich. The chicken was juicy, and crunchy. The bread was soft. My fries were cooked well and properly seasoned. I am excited to stop by again and try some other things.

Busy Saturday!!! But wait wasn't bad

After checking in and placing our order, we waited nearly 40 minutes only to be given the wrong pho. When we let the server know, he took it back and served the same bowl to another table, where that customer also said it wasn't hers. Meanwhile, tables that arrived after us were served before we ever saw any food. We never received our appetizers of spring rolls and cream cheese wontons. Another 10 minutes goes back, our pho and bun bo hue finally arrived. The soups themselves were underwhelming. Both bowls had very few noodles - I got maybe three bites of vermicelli before it was gone, and only about five tiny pieces of brisket. I've attached a photo to show our bowls a couple sips in. On top of that, the service felt chaotic and inattentive. I understand that they seemed short staffed, but the server's attitude was a turn off. At one point he rushed past and kicked my chair, which was startling. When it came time to pay, we stood at the counter with another party for five minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Overall, it was a frustrating experience from start to finish, and absolutely ridiculous that it took an hour to receive two disappointing bowls of pho without the appetizers we ordered. I won't be returning to any of the You and I locations. Edit: Notice the new "5 star" reviews posted by Lauren H, Daniel M, Roan C, Gail H, and Taegon L since my review was posted. I wanted to find a traditional French boulangerie in SLC but did not see one, Zut alors!…read more I know Paris Baguette is a chain and has an Asian twist so we decided to visit on Saturday morning before driving back to Boise. It was early, and it was already busy. TIPs & TRICKs Follow the rules: Get the tray, then the wax paper liner, then use the individual wax papers at the stations to grab what you want. While you're doing that, pay attention to the pricing, because it can add it. To see the plain butter croissants empty already was shocking, but when we told the employee she came back to not only stock it but came to us first and let us pick which ones we wanted off the tray That was very nice The pain du chocolat looked good and were lacking in depth and flakiness of the crunch The Chausson aux Pommes - was really good - They could have used another minute or two in the oven to get that golden brown. They were looking like the pastly white guy at the beach while everyone else had a tan The mochi Dubai Chocolate donut was very good. The total was almost fifty bucks.... I told my wife that we could have about 40 croissants for that price if we were in Paris. C'est la vie! Look for a chain - Its pretty good. I didn't try the coffee but if they ever show up in Boise metro area, I would check them out to see if they match up with SLC.
